Inner war
"I would never help out in you escape plan even if its the last resort in the entire universe. I would never, so good luck figuring it out alone and in your own. Asides that, get back to work." Brida said and walked away leaving Carly in shock and bewilderment.
"Wow." That was all Carly could mutter as she went back to scrubbing the floors.
She trief her best to take her mind off escaping buy not because it wasn't on her to do list but at the moment, she needed a clear head to stay safe.
She no linger paid attention to any of the girls and in no time she was done with her section of cleaning.
Though she was the last person to exit the room because of the sight break that she had taken to talk to her grandmother.
In her opinion, if she knew that was what would be the outcome...she would have never even thought for an instant to even talk with her grandmother.
But then she was Carly and she was ever ready to bear the consequences of her action so he didn't feel too bad.
After cleaning, she was returning back to her own quarter in the maids room when she saw Ubba walking up to her.
"Yeah, what is it this time? Am I to be locked up again because to be very honest, thats the only feeling that seeing you could be able to draw out from me." Carly stated with no kind of humor attached t hr voice.
'Well, that's good. I kind if more preferred it when you couldn't even fell any emotion at all, you know fear and all that crap but you'll do good and be a good little girl." Ubba said as he took long srides.
"Your strides are too long for me to keep up." Carly complained as her breathing had picked up.
"Well then. You have to run and not walk, anyone that suits you because I ain't slowing down for nobody." Ubba commented as he walked away briskly.
It was more like when she had complained that he was whisking himself away too fast, he had only increased pace just to find her.
"You already know the drill, don't you? I'll go in and whenever you hear me call for you, you open the door the next second." Ubba reminded and opened the door while he walked in and that suddenly made Carly inquisitive.
What did they have to discuss be for they finally accepted to see her?
Or did they have to commit any kind of ritual before seeing her just to cleanse themselves and make sure no bad spirits from them had clung to their children or someone else.
"You're up next, Carly." She heard Ubba bellow out and since her hand was already on the door knob, she just creaked it open and walked in.
Today, she was hell bent on not receiving any punishments because she believed she had have just enough drama for a day.
"Just a good girl.that tales corrections, bravo." One of the elders said as she walked ina nd journeyed yo the front where she just hung her head low and avoided their eyes as much as possible.
"So Carly, the elders have given it a thought and have said that the scrubbing of floors isn't something that befits you and it in no way pleases me when you tend to sleep on a spot all because you don't like the task." The man started explained and everything he was saying was just entering through one ear and going out through the other.
"So because of that, we would be introducing you to a field work." Uthred announced and she just nodded keeping her head hanging low.
"Have you ever seen this guy?" Uthred questioned and she raised her head slightly only to see that he was referring to a picture that was taken of someone she couldn't see clearly.
"Come closer and have a closer and clearer look." Uthred persuaded and when she finally saw who they were telling her to kill, she yelped.
"No! Never, Not in a lifetime." Carly screamed angrily as she began exchanging glares with Uthred.
"You see Carly....we noticed that in all of our workers, if we want to get them, we have to pull off their love interests so they can concentrate. Now here's the deal, even if you refuse to give him a slow or fast death, whatever you choose. He is still dead meat because just one word and he would be dead." Uthred explained and Carly felt hot liquid begin running down from her eyes as the corner of her eyes began to itch but then a light bulb shone in her head and she decided to pull the strings.
"Would I be alone on this journey?" Carly asked and Uthred nodded.
"Yes Carly. All you have to do is this, we would drop you off at a location close to him and them kill him and come back right here." Uthred commanded and she smiled lightly thinking of all the escape plans that just made her plans easily as she didnt need to dak too much.
"Carly, whatever is going inside of your head, I need you to trash it. Trash it now. If your don't come in by exactly 15 minutes after we drop you off, we would kill both you and Peter. So think about it, whose life is worth saving." Uthred concluded leaving Carly to reflect.
Why are you doing this Kali asked and she starred at who thread who just simply give her a weird smile and continued flipping through a book that he was holding.
It's all depends on what you think I'm doing and why anyone like me will be doing this history redirected the question.
"At first I thought you were doing this just to feel good about yourself then I thought you were doing it because you were ordered by the Beast."
"But right now I can see it all laid out on the table. You are just doing this because you're a psycho and is mentally deranged. I just have one question to ask, did you grow up without parental love and care because that's the only thing that justifies your actions." Carly stated out in a tone of frustration meeting his strong gaze.
"Carly, I have had enough of your drama. You're going to go out there and you're going to kill peter and be back as soon as possible " Uthred concluded as he shut the book he was reading and walked out of the council Hall.
All Carly knew was that this game had to end one way or the other and somehow they were helping her out.
She wouldn't have to search for long before she sees Peter and then the both of them can escape but this time it wouldn't be an exactly easy task.
She was escaping death, but this time she was doing it with someone and she believed that either ways this game had to get twisted to her favor.
"Carly, I wanted to warn you before you proceed on your first mission." Ubba's voice came at the back of her neck.
"What?" Carly asked and swerved to stare at him.
"I know what's going on in your head but I promise you don't do it and nothing would happen to your dear friend."
