Chapter 28: The meet
"As much as I hate to do this, I can explain." Carly started as her ryes was round in horror.
"Oh my goodness, please don't shut the door so people can come to my aid if you try to harm me you murderer." The woman yelled and Carly's eyes went instinctively to the door.
Had someone hear the woman call her a murderer? She thought to herself as she stood from the ground and approached the woman.
"Who am I kidding? I better report this to the elders." The woman yelled hysterically and ran out of the house but was stopped when Carly intercepted her and stood right in front of her.
"You wouldn't dare to do that." Carly growled, her eyes blazing with fury.
It seemed like the death of her mother had ripped away the last shred of humanity that she was holding on to.
And now she was nothing different from the demons out there.
The demons and shadows that she was going to defeat.
Well it seemed that the saying; "it only takes a monster to kill a monster" was not all together false in Carly's case.
"Why? Are you going to kill me too?" The woman scoffed clicking her tongue at Carly like she wasn't the least worried of her life but deep down, her heart wavered.
"Act like you're not scared of death but deep down you want to see your grand children so I'm not going to kill you. I just want you to walk out that door and act like nothing happened here because nothing did." Carly instructed and the woman's eyes dilated a bit.
"But if you do anything contrary to what I have just said...Well, you already know by now that Carly is a murderer. I'm not going to kill you. No, far from it. I'd torture your children and your little grand kids that they would beg for death but the news flash is that deaths would be far away from them." Carly warned, her voice dripping with authority.
"Carly, please get lost already before I lose my cool." The woman begged in an incredibly low tone that betrayed the confidence she was portraying.
"That's what I thought you were gonna say." Carly said with a smirk plastered at the edge of her lips as she grinned from ear to ear like whatever the woman had just said was funny in any way.
As Carly and the woman concluded their banter, grabbing her swords and some extra bow and arrow as extra weapons, she didn't let her eyes waver from the woman for a minute as she walks out of the door.
And as she walked out of the door, she broke out in a run.
Yes,she had threatened to kill the woman's descendant but who was she kidding?
It wouldn't even be able to be up to a full 5 minutes before the woman would break out in a hysterical scream and it surely wouldn't take long for the villagrrs to find her mother's dead body clinging to the bed. It wouldn't be long.
Now all she has to do in the quest of her journey was run as fast as her legs could carry her and the or st part of it all is that, she had to be running all the way because even stopping to take a breather could make them one step closer to her.
And now she had to always walk around with a hood else she might be recognized.
The homes of homes was a small city and news traveled fast.
Her pictures could be all over the entire place in a fragment of seconds and she wouldn't even know that she had been placed wanted with a monetary or whatever value they deemed fit over her head.
Running far deep into the woods, she finally paused a bit to catch her breath under a tree when she noticed that it seemed she had been followed.
And whoever was following her was already very close by and their aura enveloped the whole place.
Shutting her eyes, she took a deep breath in and without swerving to survey her surroundings, she sprinted off landing right into the persons Che's with her face.
And she fell back due to the impact.
When she looked up, her vision had started getting blurry but if there was anything she could make out...it was the fact that whoever this is was quite a towering figure.

As the whole team had splitted up to find the elders, Alec had completely abandoned her task as she stood in queue to buy tea.
The tea here in heaven was absolutely the best and she couldn't seem to get enough of it.
"Excuse me but you can't cut through the line when I've been standing right here, that's not gonna happen. So please, get back in line." Alec yelled at a young guy who had placed himself right in front of the line and no one was saying about it.
Matter of fact, they were already taking his orders.
"Thank you." The guy muttered to the tea seller with a slight grin before he looked over at Alec.
"You should consider having a wash before trying to talk to me." He said really slowly while sipping the tea that he had cheated for that it infuriated Alec a lot and she lost her cool.
"You should try gulping your drink down before spouting rubbish." Alec reiterated as she nudged his elbow and the contents of the cup all came soikkibg into his face down to his shirt and his uncovered chest.
It wasn't her fault he decided not to button up his shirt.
Now his skin was scalding from steaming tea that had been served to him.
"You little piece of shit." He yelled as he tried rubbing on the part where the hot tea had poured on him.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, that would only make it worse." Alec advised as she blew off the steam on her cup and drew a long sip.
She saw him launching a blow and she was quick to duck as she still sipped on her tea with a wild smirk plastered at the edge of her lips like that was the right place for it be.
"You bitch." He screamed again and this time he ran over to her with full tenacity and threw his fist into the airvyet again making him lose balance and fall because she had ducked.
"I wouldn't attempt that if I were you. I can do that dance all day long." Alec challenged and the guy who it seemed got everything he ever wanted had his ego hurt and his pride ruined.
"All right then. Let's eee how badly you dance.". The guy accepted snarling and Alec gulped down the remaining content of her cup and placed it carefully on the counter.
"You guys are so good in making tea and you have just the right ingredient to refresh and restart my brain when its clogged." Alec commented and the old lady at the booth smiled at her though there was also worry visible in the lady's expression
"That boy is trouble, you can just ignore him."The woman advised vusblg afraid of Alec been hurt in the duel.
"Yes mum but I choose not to ignore him and I'd make sure to put him in his place." Alec Reassured the old woman and though there was a weird glint in the old lady's eyes, she still managed to give Alec a warm smile.
"Be careful." The lady whispered and Alec smiled, butting the insides of her tongue.
"I would." She answered and clicked her tongue returning her gaze to the guy.
