Chapter 9 Going Out
Weylin suddenly hit his brother's arm and made Arlen groan softly. The man could only wince at his brother's actions.
"Your jokes are not funny, Arlen."
"Hey, I'm not kidding. I don't mind replacing you to marry her. Kelsey is very beautiful, I have nothing to lose," Arlen said casually.
Weylin rolled his eyes. "You don't know her, Arlen. Don't mess with it!"
Arlen was now holding back his smile, he said, "You don't know her either, Bro."
Arlen then took a glass of ice water from the kitchen table and drank it.
Weylin was silent.
Should he tell her about meeting Kelsey at Sweet Heaven? However, he shook his head and thought Arlen didn't need to know.
"Come on, don't act stupid. I can't believe you really want to do it," Weylin snapped.
Arlen chuckled.
"Then what's your plan? Are you going to approach her? After all, three months was too short. I don't think you will be able to avoid this arranged marriage, Bro."
"I don't know, stop talking about this. I'm tired."
Weylin actually felt that Arlen was right, but at least Weylin wanted to try. Maybe he should make an agreement with the girl later.
He was sure that Kelsey, like him, did not want this arranged marriage. He would definitely want to cancel it. Weylin was sure of that.
"Okay. Uh, Bro. Tomorrow is Friday, right? Are you going to perform again?" Arlen asked, who knew that his brother still often danced for his personal pleasure.
"Yes. I need to cheer myself up."
Kelsey looked down at the ring on her finger and angrily took it off. She put the ring in the jewelry box on her dresser.
Kelsey patted her cheeks to relax her. The impromptu engagement really pissed her off. When she recalled Weylin's cold face, she got goosebumps.
"Oh my God. Didn't Dad choose the wrong son-in-law? He's terrible." She rubbed her arms.
"Hi, how can I marry that iron-faced young man? No. No. Uh, Daddy. How can you do this to me?" Kelsey muttered as she bit her nails.
She threw herself onto her bed and started pounding her pillow innocently.
Not long after she vented her frustration, her cell phone rang. She glanced at the phone and immediately picked it up as soon as she knew it was Samantha calling.
"Yes, Samantha. What's wrong?" she asked.
"Oh, Dear. I'm really sorry. It seems I can't accompany you to go to Sweet Heaven tonight. My cousin gave birth, so I have to visit her at the hospital with my parents. Then Emily also said she couldn't come because her stomach hurt. Sorry, I really apologize to you," Samantha said quietly on the other side.
Kelsey was disappointed, of course, but she couldn't force her friends either, so she just replied, "It's fine. I understand. We can go another time."
After talking with Samantha, Kelsey went to a shower. While she was washing her hair, she suddenly had a crazy idea.
"How about I just come alone, huh?" she muttered, desperately wanting to come to Sweet Heaven.
"Yes, I will come alone."
She smiled to herself.
Weylin was already getting ready backstage. He tidied his clothes and checked whether his black mask was on properly or not.
This time he was wearing a white shirt covered on the outside with a short-sleeved blue shirt and torn jeans. White sports shoes made it look even more perfect.
Weylin also disguised his appearance by wearing brown contact lenses and dyed his hair light brown.
A host who saw Weylin couldn't help but gawk at the sight of Weylin's very unreal handsomeness.
"Oh, you're still a god in this club, M," the girl said, and she had a very dense body.
Weylin just kept silent, not wanting to respond.
"Hmm. Don't you want to reveal your identity at any time? You know, everyone is so curious about you," she continued.
Weylin turned his head, "If they found out my true identity, I would immediately stop dancing."
The girl was aghast.
"Hey, why is that?" she asked confused.
"Because if someone finds out, this country will be in an uproar," Weylin said.
The girl named Fransisca was stunned. "Is the effect so powerful? Wow, M. You make me even more curious. You're not a member of royalty or an official, are you?"
Weylin just shrugged his shoulders. He again ignored the girl as usual.
Damn, if he wasn't handsome, I wouldn't want to talk to him, Fransisca thought.
Fransisca hosted Sweet Heaven for only a few months and only talked to Weylin a few times.
She also knew that Weylin rarely wanted to engage in conversation with other performers and that it made everyone in the club think of him as arrogant.
What's more, Weylin never took off his mask and that made people feel that Weylin was weird. However, Weylin did not want to bother.
He wanted to appear at the club just to relieve his fatigue and channel his hobby.
He knew he would never be able to become a professional dancer, so appearing in secret was his way of making himself give up his dream years ago.
"Get ready, it's your turn soon," Fransisca said casually.
The woman who was wearing a super mini dress went up to the stage and Weylin was already on the stairs. He waited for his name to be called.
Meanwhile, at the front of the club, Kelsey had just arrived in a taxi. The girl got off and headed straight for the entrance.
As soon as she stepped into the club, many pairs of eyes started turning towards him.
Calmly she walked to stand a little closer to the stage.
"Wow, who is she? So beautiful!" a man chirped while holding a glass of wine.
"She's really charming. Oh, I think she's a new guest. I've never seen her before," someone else said.
Kelsey stared at the stage with an impatient gaze. She was waiting for 'M' to perform.
"But why is she wearing a mask?"
Kelsey heard that but then she smiled faintly. Suddenly, a young man approached her.
"Hey, Miss. You really know how to attract attention," the man with a pretty handsome face said.
Kelsey turned towards the voice, "Oh, but I didn't mean that."
The man smiled and offered a glass of wine, which Kelsey wanted to refuse.
"To the beautiful woman who managed to steal the show tonight," he said.
She knew not to accept any gifts from people she didn't know, but not to offend the man, she accepted. She certainly wouldn't drink it to fend for herself.
"Thank you."
"Edgar," the man said.
He stretched out his hand, but unfortunately, Kelsey rushed to the stage as soon as the host mentioned the name of the dancer she had been waiting for.
Kelsey's attention was immediately fully devoted to the mysterious dancer who was now standing on the stage that seemed to already belong to that man.
M? Why were the girls here only interested in him? Edgar thought angrily.
