Chapter 13 Guilty
Weylin clasped his cold hands after seeing his father enter the emergency room. His father had a heart attack and now the doctors were trying to save Ansgar.
Zuria already couldn't stop crying even inside her heart.
Weylin could not calm himself down as the guilt hurt his chest. All this was his fault. It was because of his mistake that Ansgar Malachy had to fight against death which wanted to pick him up.
Weylin hit himself on the head for his stupidity. He really did not think that his father would experience something like this. As far as he knew, Ansgar was a healthy old man.
The man, who was more than half a century old, had never been sick but strangely enough he just collapsed. And this was the heart.
When did his father start to have heart disease? Why didn't he know?
Even his mother seemed to be as shocked as he was. Why did it happen? Weylin couldn't shake his curiosity about when his father had such a mild illness.
Several tens of minutes later, a doctor who was about the same age as his father approached them.
"The family of Mr. Malachy?"
"Yes, that's right. I am his son and this is my mother," Weylin replied nervously.
The doctor nodded, "Could you come with me for a moment?"
"F-fine, Doc."
Both of them followed the doctor to his room which was not far from the emergency room.
"Please, sit down!" the doctor said.
Weylin increasingly felt that this was not a good thing.
He seemed to be waiting for a terrible verdict at this time. He was scared, very afraid if it turned out that his father experienced something scary.
"I am William, I am a doctor who has been treating patients for about ten years," William said.
Weylin's eyeballs seemed to be popping out of his eyes, "Ten years, Doc? You mean my dad has been sick that long?"
William nodded and he took out Ansgar Malachy's medical records for them.
"Mr. Malachy has been sick since ten years ago. At first it wasn't too bad and I didn't advise him to take medicine but after three years ago, he had to take it because his heart condition got worse."
Weylin's face turned pale while Zuria was already crying again.
She covered her mouth to keep her voice from coming out.
"Dad always looks healthy, how can he be sick? I've never even seen him take medicine once. How is that possible?" Weylin couldn't believe it.
The man shook his head vigorously. Suddenly Zuria, who had been silent until now, started to speak.
"Oh, my God. I just remembered. He often takes medicine every night but he always says if it's vitamins, so I just believe it. Because he doesn't look sick at all," Zuria said sadly.
The woman really felt disappointed in herself. Her husband who was always with her was sick for the past ten years, how could she not know? She really was so stupid and insensitive.
"Mr. Malachy did tell me that he wanted to keep his illness a secret from his family. He only told me that if later his condition started to get worse, I was asked to tell you."
After hearing those words, Weylin really felt even more guilty. The man walked outside after Arlen and Neal came. He asked his two brothers to look after his mother while he had to calm himself down.
He chose to sit in the garden of the hospital contemplating everything. Now Weylin began to understand his father's strict attitude during this time.
Back when he was still at school, his father was very caring and never forced his will. H
owever, suddenly everything That changed when he graduated from high school.
Weylin was forced to take a business course and had to give up the dance world he loved. Not only that, he was banned from dancing everywhere.
All of his siblings also experienced the same pressure. Like Arlen and also Neal.
Arlen was unable to take designer classes while Neal was forced to take over his grandfather's business. Only Keiran was allowed to live the life he wanted and that relieved Weylin a bit.
Unfortunately, everything his father had done had irritated him in his heart because he was the one who had suffered the most.
In fact, Weylin believed there was a growing hatred for his father. This was because he was the only one who couldn't do what he wanted right now.
Arlen was kicked out of the house, but he was now living his life as a famous designer and Ansgar recognized it. Ansgar no longer had a problem with this and instead looks proud of Arlen's success.
Meanwhile, Neal, who was banned from becoming a motorcycle racer, was allowed to enter the world of racing after
Neal managed to prove that he was worthy of being the CEO of JOM, which was now growing rapidly.
Needless to say, Neal could get what he wanted easily.
So, why couldn't he do what he dreamt of? Many times he made a deal with his father but it still failed. So he was forced to dance in secret and it was very painful for Weylin.
He always said that the world was not fair to him but never showed it to others.
Weylin only kept that to himself. In fact, he was forced to get engaged to someone he didn't want and he still tried to accept it.
Then now, when he was no longer able to obey all his father's orders, his father instead fell ill and this was because of him.
Weylin understood one thing, everything his father had done was for their good. His father became more strict and often forced his will because he wanted to make his children great.
Yes, Weylin was aware of that. However, now the situation was different. He's going to have a hard time. Weylin was so flustered that he subconsciously rubbed his face carelessly.
"Can't I be selfish for once? Why do I have to accept this? Is it because I'm the eldest son?" he muttered to himself.
Weylin was scared. All he was thinking about now was the girl.
His biggest fear was if the girl turned out to be pregnant and bear his child.
If he married Kelsey, what happened to that girl? What about the fate of his son later? Weylin shook his head in confusion.
He didn't want his child to be born without a father. He would never let that happen, but what now? If he didn't marry Kelsey, he was afraid that his father's condition would only get worse.
The man had unknowingly attracted the attention of the people in the park by speaking alone.
And as he rolled his eyes, he turned towards the entrance, he saw a familiar car pull into the parking area.
He thought her was dreaming but unfortunately he was not. He really Saw that girl. The girl who would be his future wife.
Weylin glared in surprise as soon as he saw the figure that had become his fiancée, “What is she doing here?”
