Chapter 8 BE A GOOD GIRL
“Well, it's getting late; I'll go to bed.” My sweet grandmother commented, kissing me on the cheek. Before stepping away, she pulled Patrik, who was surprised by the gesture, and tried to whisper in his ear, “Make her eat something; she's always busy and doesn't eat properly. Her boss is an idiot and takes up all her time!”
The CEO gave me an unreadable look.
“She should tell him how much of an idiot he is!” Patrik smiled amused at her, kissing her forehead and hand in an affectionate gesture. “It was a pleasure to meet you.”
“Oh, stop it!” She laughed shyly. “The pleasure is all mine!”
The nurses escorted her to her room; I watched them walk away before turning back to my boss.
“What do you think you're doing?” I almost shouted, trying to keep in mind that he was my boss. “Do you realize her health condition is delicate? Why did you come here?”
“Mrs. Lis, are you jealous of your grandmother?” His gaze, though serious, was overshadowed by the smirk that had settled on his lips.
“Urgh...” I stomped my feet, crossing my arms, irritated. “Mr. Patrik, you're annoying!”
“It's part of my charm, Mrs. Lis.” Smiling, he pulled me by the arms, dragging me out of the nursing home. “Come on, we have a stop to make.”
“What stop? I'm not going with you; my workday is over, and I want to go home!” I glared at him impatiently.
“Mrs. Lis, you're such a stubborn woman. Should I call your grandmother to straighten you out?” The CEO raised an eyebrow in response to a threat.
“You wouldn't dare!” I stopped, staring at him.
“Have you ever seen me threaten without following through?” Putting his hands in his pockets, he stared at me firmly.
“No..., but...” I stuttered.
“Then, get in the car like a good, polite girl!” Smiling, Patrik opened the door.
I walked past him with firm steps, got in, and sat with my arms crossed, a sullen look on my face... This man was driving me crazy!
“You look so cute when you're mad.” Winking, Patrik sat in front of me. “You shouldn't skip meals; you might get sick. If something happens to you, do you have any relatives who can take care of that sweet lady in your place?”
I knew that stern tone well; it was what I was used to in my work routine.
“No, it's just the two of us...” I muttered, staring out the window. “I'm aware of that, but as my grandmother said, my boss is kind of a jerk.”
I glanced sideways, noticing his charming smile.
“I'll have a serious talk with him later.” Leaning back in his seat, he crossed his legs casually, closing his eyes. “I hope you like seafood.”
“Seafood?” I turned suddenly to face him.
“Yes, never tried it?” He raised an eyebrow.
“It's beyond my budget, sir.” I stared at him. “Look, Mr. Patrik, you don't have to do this... My grandmother was exaggerating; I eat every day.”
“Grandmothers are always right.” The CEO smiled smugly as he leaned closer, pressing me against the seat. “And I wouldn't miss the opportunity to take you out for dinner...We haven't finished our lesson for today!”
I shifted timidly, shivering at his proximity. Sighing, I raised my eyes to meet his, noticing hints of lust and curiosity.
“You still haven't told me why you followed me?” I intentionally changed the subject, making him backtrack.
“You left too quickly; something was bothering you.” Shrugging, he said, “I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”
“Very kind of you.” I nodded gratefully, even though this was all strange. “I'm tired, Mr. Patrik, I want to go home; I still have classes from the course to catch up on.”
“Okay...” Sighing, Patrik tapped on the driver's window, which was lowered. “Go through the drive-thru; we'll buy something to take away.”
“I already...” I started, being interrupted by his finger pressing against my lips, daringly squeezing them.
“You want to study, so let's go to your place to study!” Patrik sat next to me, caressing my leg. “That jacket looks better on you.”
I smiled shyly.
“The owner of the jacket has good taste.” I dared to joke after sighing. “I won't allow you to enter my apartment again.”
“The apartment is mine; the whole building, did you forget?” He applied more pressure to my legs, moving up a bit dangerously.
“Then, I'll move out.” I pushed his hands unsuccessfully.
Turning his chin towards me, Patrik brushed his lips against mine, biting them softly in a provocative manner.
“Then, I'll have to buy the next building you'll live in...” Whispering provocatively, he ran his tongue over my lips. “You won't get rid of me so easily; be a good girl and behave, or I'll give you the spankings you need to be corrected!”
“You wouldn't dare...” I widened my eyes, and my face flushed.
“Is that a challenge?” Patrik spoke hoarsely, unbuttoning a button on his jacket, caressing my breast with his thumb.
“No... no...” I sighed, shivering. “It seems it's not just Greg who's a stalker…”
“I guess I've learned his bad habits!” Grabbing my nape, Patrik pulled me closer, stopping inches from my lips; he seemed to ponder whether to continue or not. “There's so much to teach you, Mrs. Lis; my mind is full of lessons that I'm eager to teach you.”
“Why me?” I whispered without moving, maintaining our gaze.
“You're more surprising than you imagine!” Patrik bit my lower lip before stepping back again. I noticed the bulge in his pants, bit my lip, and turned my face to the window, trying to hide my flushed face out of shyness.
His self-control intrigued me; were all men like that? The few I was allowed to have an adventure with were always disappointing and premature. I never had serious relationships; it seemed like a waste of time. I didn't believe in love or fairy tales!
Furthermore, I based myself on logic, actions, and reactions. So why did the man in front of me intrigue and arouse so much curiosity? And how much could his dangerous game harm me?
The CEO ordered our meals and led us to the apartment; as promised, he indeed entered. Greg stayed guarding the door; that security guard seemed tireless. I insisted he come in and rest in the guest room, but he didn't respond.
“Please, order him to come and rest; I don't feel comfortable knowing that Greg is standing outside all night.” I sighed, looking at the CEO.
“He's used to it; he was in the army and doesn't like to sleep in other people's houses!” Patrik smiled, eating his meal in a relaxed manner, loosening his tie and unbuttoning his dress shirt, revealing his toned chest.
I stood there, looking at the open shirt, until I was brought back to reality.
“It's very rude to stare at a guest, Mrs. Lis.” He smiled, tilting his head to the side, amused. “What would your grandmother think of your behavior?”
I threw the pillow at his face, turning my back and speaking over my shoulder.
“Don't follow me; I'm going to take a shower, and if you want to be more comfortable, there's a bathroom in the other room.” I stopped at the door. “I don't have clothes that fit you.”
“I don't need clothes; I can wait for you naked!” Patrik shrugged, amused.
I walked away quickly, slamming the door shut.
