Chapter 310: She Is Mine, Mind Your Manners

Lily was a bit surprised to hear what the manager said, but she didn't show it.

She turned back to look at the team members, "Let's go. We'll take the private room upstairs and not disturb Ms. Harper's dinner party."

Olivia's face instantly darkened. "Ms. Roberts, what do you mean by that?"

"We don't drink anyway, so we won't spoil your fun. I'm just looking out for you."

"Lily, who do you think you are to deserve a top VIP room? Even Olivia has to book a VIP room a month in advance. Manager, did you make a mistake?"

The manager calmly replied, "No mistake. Ms. Roberts booked the VIP room."

Lily glanced at Olivia, "So VIP rooms are that hard to book? How about you switch places with me and go eat upstairs?"

Olivia kept a straight face and said nothing.

Lily went upstairs with the team members. Zoey walked up beside her, "That felt so good! You should have seen how awful the two Harper sisters looked."

Lily took Zoey's hand. "Were you okay just now?"

"I'm fine. Did you really record a video?"

Lily shook her head, "Didn't have time, but they're the ones feeling guilty, so what's there to worry about?"

The team members all walked into the VIP room, but Lily accidentally spotted Anouk from Prestige PR Group talking to a server.

Lily changed direction and walked straight over.

When Anouk saw her, his expression became a bit awkward, "Ms. Roberts."

"You arranged this?"

"That's right. Mr. Gonzalez instructed me to arrange everything in your life."

Anouk knew these two were fighting, so it was hard to know where to draw the line.

Lily had thought Emily arranged it, but when she heard Samantha say VIP rooms needed to be booked a month in advance, she actually already had a certain guess.

It wasn't until she saw Anouk that she confirmed this had something to do with Dennis.

Anouk said carefully, "I wasn't really supposed to do anything, but the Harper family people were too much. I couldn't help standing up for you."

"Thanks."

Lily did feel pretty satisfied about it.

After she returned to the private room, she seemed a bit distracted.

Zoey was a bit gossipy, "You were able to book a VIP spot—was it because of Emily?"

Now Zoey knew Emily's identity too.

Facing everyone's curiosity, Lily had no choice but to nod. She couldn't very well say it was because of Dennis at a time like this.

They had already broken up.

Lily went to the restroom midway and saw that familiar figure leaning against the wall, holding his phone like he was sending a message.

Lily's steps stopped. She didn't expect him to be here.

Dennis turned his head, his eyes deep. He straightened up, "Done eating?"

"Not yet. I came out to use the restroom." Lily looked at him, "About the private room, I owe you one."

"You can come anytime you want in the future. No membership card needed."

After getting Anouk's call, Dennis couldn't help coming over in the end.

Lily's mind was in chaos. She lowered her head and didn't look at him.

Dennis couldn't help moving closer and said in a low voice, "Actually..."

"Lily."

Walter came out of the private room. After seeing Dennis beside Lily, his expression changed a bit.

After seeing Walter, Lily's expression became somewhat unnatural. "Are you done eating?"

"Came out for a smoke."

Walter glanced at Dennis beside Lily. He'd heard they had broken up.

Lily nodded and walked right past Dennis.

Dennis's gaze deepened as he looked at Walter approaching him. His voice carried a threat, "Stay away from her."

"But didn't you two break up?"

"I haven't agreed to it yet." Dennis's thin lips pressed together coldly, "I suggest you don't do anything you'll regret."

Walter said nothing, but his eyes held a hint of challenge. In the end, he didn't even smoke and turned back to the private room.

Dennis laughed at himself. He had just gone and warned a young guy—what a... hard to describe feeling.

Meanwhile, Lily came out of the restroom. She had even splashed cold water on her face.

When she returned to the hallway, she saw Dennis was still outside. She took a deep breath and walked over.

She walked up to him, looking straight ahead. Dennis spoke, "The AI project has a dinner tonight. Do you want to come take a look? There's a new project development coming up about prosthetic limbs."

When Lily heard "prosthetic limbs," she thought of James.

In her past life, she had indeed developed AI prosthetic limbs that were very popular.

She had only mentioned it to Dennis once before. She didn't expect him to move so fast on it. But then again, with Eric and Dennis as backers behind Maple Leaf Corporation, they had money when they needed money and resources when they needed resources.

Lily nodded. She took out her phone and sent Zoey a message, telling them to eat first.

She went with Dennis to the private room at the end of the hallway.

When they walked in, she saw Olivia was there too.

The atmosphere in the room became somewhat awkward.

After all, everyone present knew about Olivia and Dennis's relationship, but suddenly Dennis brought a young girl into the room.

Olivia stood up directly and spoke first, "Ms. Roberts is here too. What a surprise."

A rich kid nearby said, "Mr. Gonzalez, Ms. Harper is clearly here, but instead of staying to keep her company, you went out and brought another girl in. Aren't you afraid Ms. Harper will be jealous?"

The people around joined in the teasing.

The smile on Olivia's face grew much wider. She looked at Lily with some smugness.

Lily's smile deepened, "Maybe I'm coming at a bad time?"

At this moment, Lily turned her head to glance at Dennis and even smiled at him.

Dennis instantly clenched his jaw. At this moment, he didn't want to see Lily smile.

There was venom behind that smile. It was even harder to take than if she had gotten angry and cursed at him directly.

Olivia quickly spoke up, "No, you came at just the right time. After all, there are friends here who invest in esports teams. You're so good at gaming, you could join their professional teams in the future."

"I'm not considering joining a professional team right now."

"Such a good opportunity—isn't it a shame to give it up? The school team will limit your development."

Lily looked over, "The manager from Bubble Buddies Team kept trying to recruit me before, but I turned them down. People have different goals."

Olivia quickly stood up and walked to Dennis's side, "Dennis, please take your seat. Everyone's been waiting for you for a while."

Lily turned to leave, but Dennis grabbed her.

He looked down at her, his voice gentle, "Are you angry?"

This one action from Dennis stunned everyone present, who looked at Lily in shock: 'What's going on here?'

Lily's smile deepened, "I'm not angry."

The rich kid who had spoken earlier tentatively asked, "Ms. Roberts, are you and Mr. Gonzalez close?"

Lily looked over and gave a fake smile, "Not really."

Dennis didn't move. He still looked down at her, his brow furrowing slightly. He turned his face to look at that rich kid, "She's mine. Mind your manners."

Lily's face grew hot. What did he mean by "she's mine"?
