Chapter 98 98
"Are you sure I would not be in the way?" Raven asked. I smiled she would be a distraction but never in the way.
"You are never in the way my love. Bring anything you think you might need, I should have thought of this a week ago." I told her.
So with backpack in her hand I took her down to my office and made her comfortable on the couch. She used her phone to call Maggie and organize lunch. I brought her a cup of coffee as she settled in with her audio book. Bre would do her chores upstairs then check on Raven in a couple of hours. I settled down at my desk and started going over the past couple of days reports. Lance was back and forth from his office next to mine a few time. It was quite and no drama for a change.
HUNTER'S POV
This was getting me no where, I was getting blocked at every turn trying to get a hold of the sealed files. I had to know what was in them. Morris and I could be in a lot of trouble is they were opened by anyone else. Why now did that bastard have to come out of seclusion. I needed to find that woman and her son and a few others that had been put in other packs. I'm sure they knew the truth. They could identify people. I called the girl at the records department again asking for a file. To my surprise she released the file to me and faxed it over. As I started reading he file I noticed pages were missing. I calked the clerk back she said the missing pages were not in the file.
"Who had this file before me?" I inquired.
"Some legal council at Heart and Heart they also subpoenaed all sealed records for that pack." She said.
"When?" I asked
"They picked them up yesterday the same time they copied the file I sent you." She told me.
"Do you not check the files when they come back to see if they are all intact?" I yelled.
"There is no need to yell, I was not the one who signed the file back in. They are usually checked." She said. I hung up on her. With the law firm having all the records some shit was going to hit the fan. I needed to call Morris and let him know what was going on. We had to come up with a plan. I tied to call Morris, but he was not picking up. I told Travis my Beta I would be out for the rest if the day and went to see Garrison to see what he knew. After an hours drive I was told Alpha Garrison was not accepting visitors. I pulled over and called him.
After four rings he answered the phone.
"Hunter what do you want I'm busy?" Garrison yelled into the phone.
"Look Garrison I did not drive all this way to talk to you about what I found out to be turned away at the gate. What are you hiding?" I asked.
"Fine I will let you in you have half an hour." Garrison said and hung up.
They opened the gate and I went in and up the long drive to the pack house. I went up to Garrison's office. I told his Beta to leave. Garrison gave him a nod, and he left not very happy. I got right to the point.
"Garrison do you know there are pages missing from the public documents on Titan pack.?" I asked
"Oh is there? I have no idea I was told they were unavailable how did you get your hand on them?" Garrison said. I could not tell if he was lying or not.
"I also found out a legal team from the big city had acquired all the sealed documents. You know this means we are all in a whole lot of trouble." I told him.
"How is that?" Garrison asked.
"We will be accountable for what our fathers did. This looks good for none of us." I told him.
"My father refused to have anything to do with the execution of Titan father. I'm not worried about it. I have no knowledge of what happened that night either. Titan would never believe that My father or I did we have been close for over fifteen years.
If either of you are mentioned in those documents it will not matter how long you have been friends. Tell me something does Titan know who your mate was that passed away two years after she gave you a son. I bet not. I'm surprised he did not notice the resemblance in Spencer by now." I said to him hoping to get under his skin.
"You shut your trap about my beautiful mate Yelena. Don't you ever being her up again." Garrison yelled. I walked to the door as I left I turned around.
History needs to repeat itself Garrison and you will help us do it." I said smiling and left.
RAVEN'S POV
It was two weeks before the wedding I had not asked Bre and Nigel to stand up with me yet or Roman to give me away. But that would change today we were going to have lunch at Maggie's kitchen table where it was quiet and not so elaborate. Kendra and I had ordered my dress it should be here today or tomorrow. Kendra was amazed that I could see through Spirits eyes. We spent a whole afternoon just the two of us looking at dresses if there was one I liked Spirit would put her paw on the page. I finally decided to go with a white lace dress that had a silk underskirt it fell gracefully to the floor with out the flair of a ball gown we requested no train so I would not accidently trip over it. We decided on a princess Terria. With no vail. I would wear my heart necklace. I decided to pull back my braids and clip them behind my head with silver clips. I still had a lot of hair that was not braided yet that Kendra said she would curl. Titan came over to the couch and kissed my forehead. I stopped my book and took out an earbud smiling.
"How is the reading going, they must be some steamy romance novels." He said.
"Is that what you think I have been listening to all these months?" I asked laughing.
"Is that not what most women read or listen to?" He asked.
"I don't know, but that is not what I have been listening to." I told him. As I moved my feet for him to sit beside me.
"What have you been listening to then love?" He asked.
"Promise you will not laugh?" I asked.
"Why would I laugh?" He said. I looked at him.
"Yes I promise I will not laugh." Titan said.
I took and showed him my tablet. He was quiet for a few minutes. I was wondering what he was thinking.
