Chapter 69 CHAPTER 69
"I know he is going to fast sometimes Raven, he loves you and want everyone to know how much he does. Hopefully you both can work out your little problem. It is important not just for the both of you but for the pack. I will talk with you later. I left and linked Bre to go help Raven dress for tea, then take her to my office. Then I went down and sat in the kitchen with Maggie.
"I have not seen you down here like this since Titan was suck two year ago. What is on your mind my sister?" Maggie asked giving me a cup of herbal tea.
"Those two will be the death of me, Maggie they are both stubborn." I told her.
"Yes I saw that when I met her. But it is good for him to have someone who challenges him instead of bowing to his every whim." Maggie said.
"It is disruptive to everyone." I told her.
"You need to let them work things out on their own, sister. I know how hard that is but you will have to try. That woman was here for breakfast she was asking a lot of question about who did the housekeeping of the pack house." Maggie told me.
"That is how she is going to try and get to Raven. Well have her start cleaning the rooms on the second and third floors. We can keep an eye on her better. I think Titan is going to Jessica's parents house sometime today and then gathering the pack after dinner for a speech he is preparing." I told her. I took a drink of my tea and relaxed.
"Any idea what about?"
"Lance said he was going on about how we were not the people our ancestors wanted us to be. I have to agree we have gone down a side road that there maybe no return from." I told her.
"But thing change we have to be willing to keep our beliefs and change with the times " Maggie said.
"Our people have forgotten who the are. Look at Jessica she is a prime example. We were simple people. Now the children born here are simply out of control is the only way to put it." I said.
"Not all children but yes you are right those who have wondered need to be brought back to reality " Maggie said. I agreed with her. How we were going to do it was an entirely different matter. I was unsettled by this I said goodbye to Maggie and went to my room. Locking the door I went and opened a secret doorway in the wall I entered the room lit a candle then closed the door back over. After lighting a couple more candles, I got three books off one of the shelves. Opening the first book I collected the ingredients listed. Then opened the second book I combined the ingredients in a specific order. Then I opened the third book and began to recite the ritual that would take me to a different plain of existence I needed to speak with our ancestors to be cleansed of everything dark from me. As I passed into the different plain of existence I felt peace begin to wash over me.
RAVEN'S POV
Well this was uncomfortable to say the least.
"Titan, you don't have to stay here, I'm sure you have work to do." I told him still sitting on the chair in the kitchen.
"Raven, I want to apologize for last night, I should not have acted the way I did. " Titan said.
"Titan it is not your fault, I overreacted. I ended up ruining a beautiful moment between us. I'm very sorry. " I told him.
"Can you come out of the kitchen and sit with me, please?" Titan asked. I smiled a little and went over to the couch. After sitting down, I reached for his hand.
"I can not control what I draw, Titan. I'm sorry it ruined your surprise." I sad to him.
"I'm sorry I laughed and overreacted." He said kissing my forehead.
"Things are very stressful right now with Imara here. Roman, Nigel and Kyle are going to try and not been seen by her. But he said from what he has heard she knows I'm up here and her and Jessica are planning something." I told him.
"Yes that is what my spies are telling me too. I don't know what to do, I just can't sit and wait for them to make a move. People like Jessica are not what our pack is about. Where did I go wrong that such darkness lives in some of our people? " Titan said to me.
"I don't have the answers Titan I have been hiding up here refusing to believe who I am."
I told him.
"You went through so much Raven it is only natural for you to be scared and not accept thing. I need to be more patient with you and understand your feeling more." Titan said.
"There is enough blame to go around we need to start working together for the good of the pack and for us." I said to him.
"I agree with you, but right now here in this room it is about us Raven I love you so very much I want more the just a mating ceremony I want you to be my wife when your ready. I want you bond to me in every way possible." Titan said pouring out his heart. What was I afraid of. I had already agreed to our mating ceremony, so what was my problem. My parent were married. I had to stop being afraid of rejection. Titan was begging me. I took a deep breath and put my hands on his face.
"Yes Titan I will be your mate and your wife." I said. He was quiet for a moment before he spoke.
"Raven, may I go and get the ring?" He asked.
"Yes" I laughed.
He was gone and back in less than two minutes. He sat back down beside me and took my left hand.
"This ring was my grandmothers engagement ring. Mother gave it to me to give you. Will you do me the honor of wearing it and be my wife." He asked.
I nodded my head, I was to choaked up to speak. Titan slipped the ring on my finger. Then pulled me to him kissing me with such passion he had never kissed me with before. I wrapped my arms around his neck and returned his kiss. We were lost in the moment of each other when there was a massive explosion that terrified me. Titan stood and went to the door I'm locking the door do not let anyone in. I will be back. I grabbed a cushion that was on the couch and wrapped my arms around it. Half an hour later Bre came in locking the door again.
