Chapter 177 177
CALVIN'S POV
I had linked Lilly earlier to see where Ella was, I really wanted to apologize for my behavior last night, but it seemed my sister was not going to let me anywhere near Ella until after the Beta Ceremony. I was happy they spent the day together, but Lilly could be a bit eccentric at times. I was standing on the makeshift stage outside the pack house with Titan waiting for mother, Lilly and Ella. Lilly came out first she looked amazing. Then mother came out with Ella, and they quickly disappeared into the crowd. Mother came and stood on stage with me and Titan.
"Where did Ella go?" I quietly asked her.
"She is standing with her parents, now get on with the task at hand." She told me.
The Beta Ceremony went quickly, everyone accepted Lilly as the new Beta. Titan made a speech and presented Lilly with a couple of metals. Lilly thanked everyone and she would do her best to be the best Beta she could.
After all the elders had congratulated Lilly we went into dinner; Ella was the last to walk in with my mother my jaw dropped. Titan leaned over to me.
"Calvin close your mouth," he laughed. Mother escorted to the seat on my left then went to the other end of the table. Once all the women had been seated the rest of us sat down. I leaned over to Ella.
"You look amazing my love. " I said to her.
"Thank you," she said blushing. Through the whole dinner I could not keep my eyes off of her. I kept not hearing when someone asked me a question. After dinner we went to the ballroom where we had set up a party for Lilly to celebrate her being Beta.
Ella's parents were there with Celestia and her parents. Lilly, Ella and Celestia we in a corner talking and laughing.
"Your hopeless Calvin, go and ask her to dance already." Titan laughed at me.
I could hear him and Raven laughing as I walked over to the ladies.
"Excuse me for interrupting you, but I was wondering if I could steal Ella away for a dance?" I asked them.
"Took you long enough," Lilly said give Ella a little push towards me. Smiling.
I took Ella by the hand and walked her to the middle of the dance floor they started to play a slow song. I wrapped my arms around Ella and inhaled her scent.
"I have missed you all day, sweetheart," I told her. She smiled up at me.
"Sorry Lilly kept me very busy today, we had a lot of fun. Your not mad about my hair and nails?" Ella asked.
"No Ella not at all, you look amazing in that dress, though my wolf is dying to rip it off you " I said being honest. She turned as red as her hair and I had to chuckle.
"Ella, I owe you an apology for last night. I have no intentions of letting you go ever. I just wanted you to feel free to hang out with your friends for the rest of the summer though they might have to put up with me tagging along so I can spend time with you " I told her.
"I understand Calvin, you have a lot of work to do with Titan and Lilly too." Ella said smiling.
"I do but I want to be with you too, I heard mother say Bethany was going to be one of your touters in September. Are you discovering new abilities?" I asked her.
"Some yes, I don't understand them. It is all so confusing to me right now. I swear if I hear anyone else thoughts ir intentions." Ella said. Then put her hand over her mouth. Like she had said something she did not mean to.
"Calvin forget, I said that." Ella asked.
"Have you talked to anyone about this Ella?" I asked.
"No, please. I don't want people to think I'm in their heads. It is not all the time it is when someone is being untruthful or are have bad thoughts towards someone. It just started three days ago." Ella said I could see fear on her face.
"That can't be a bad thing to be able to read people." I said hoping she would relax.
"You don't understand." Ella said. I pulled her close. I wish I did understand. Then I could help. She must be going through hell getting these abilities she has no control over. I sighed and kissed the top of her head.
"Your right I'm going through hell, I wish you could understand too." Ella said. I looked down at her.
"Did you just hear my thoughts?" I asked.
"Yes, I was not even trying to I just heard it in my head. I don't know who o talk to about it. Raven is going to have her twins any day." Bre said.
"Talk to mother and Aunt Loria I’m sure they can help. Come on let's go and see them they look bored." I told her.
TITAN'S POV
Last night had been great for everyone. I know Lilly would do a wonderful job as Beta she would keep Calvin on his toes. Now I had to do something with the human. I could not make any decision on my own I really needed Ravens help with this.
"Raven when we finish lunch I really need your help with something." I said to her.
"Anything, you seem very upset about something." Raven said.
"I'm very upset, I really don't know how to deal with this problem." I told her running my hands through my hair.
"Well let's go talk, I just need a big tumbler of ice water." Raven said. I went o the kitchen and grabbed her big tumbler filled it with ice and water then went to the table and touched her arm so she knew I was there.
"Let's go down by the water," I said when we got outside.
"Will it be private enough?" Raven asked.
"Yes, I have an area in mind. It is away from the all the pups swimming. Valen, Deisel, and Kale come with us please." I said. We walked for about half an hour until we came to a bench that had cushions on it. I helped Raven sit down. She had a drink of her water. The guys stationed themselves by us but also giving us privacy.
"Thank you for bringing me the water, so now tell me what has you so upset." Raven said taking my one hand in hers.
"Raven I need you to listen to me not get upset or mad. I need help dealing with this." I said. I knew she was going lose her shit when I told her. I prayed me saying that she would try and stay in control.
