Chapter 149 149
I put my hand out for Eric to pass me the phones. After he did he left the office. I know he was laughing. We never have burned anyone’s phone. I sat the phones on my desk and told Ella to open her lunch. It was not eatable.
"Eric please ask Miss. Ronalds to send up our lunch plus an extra?" I asked.
"Ten minutes," he said from his office.
"Thank you." I replied.
Thus is the first and last time your lunch will be replaced do you understand me?" I asked Ella. She just nodded.
"Tell me something Ella, do you know how to meditate?" I asked.
"Yes, Alpha Calvin." She said her head down.
"So please correct me if I'm wrong. You were given ten minutes of medication because you were being disrespectful in class and you dragged it into a three hour stand off. That you did not win." I asked.
"I guess." Ella said. Now i was going to lose my temper.
"Is that how you talk to me, Ella?" I questioned.
"Yes, Alpha that is what happened." She said quietly.
"Are you having that much of a hard time adjusting Ella? I see Celestia is adjusting. Would you like to talk about it?" I asked.
"Why did you give me that music box?" she asked. I smiled.
"I make them when I need time to think about things. When I finished that one I thought you would like it. Many of the children have music boxes I have made. It was a gesture of friendship." I told her. It was more than that, but I was not going to tell her that.
"You know it makes you look like a creeper." Ella said. I could not control my laughter.
"I will try and remember you thought that, would you like for me to take it back?" I asked her.
"Well, no." She said blushing
"For the next week and a half your curfew is six pm in the house. Celestia will be allowed to visit for one hour during the week and two hours on the weekend. Ah lunch is here. Eric are you joining me for lunch?" I asked.
Ella you will sit quietly and eat your lunch, every bite of it. Beta Eric and I have thing to talk about. She looked like she was going to say something but stopped and started to eat the food brought up for her.
"Eric we need to have a cabin cleared out and made spotless. Titan and his crew are coming for the summer that gives us just over a month. Titan, Raven, her assistant and the baby will be staying in the cabin. I don't know if Aunt Loria is coming or not. Make sure there is water and electricity hook up for his monster truck thing he built for his bodyguards." I told him. I peeked over at Ella she was paying attention to what I said as soon as I said they were coming for the summer. Eric on the other had started getting into a foul mood.
"Really Calvin, why now?" Eric asked.
"Just make the preparations, I don't want to hear it today." I told him.
"As for you, Ella you tell no one they are coming. What you hear in this office stays here." I told her.
"Of course Alpha Calvin." She said smiling.
A real smile, it lit up her violet eyes. It was a beautiful smile.
After we finished lunch, Eric went off some where. I started having Ella do simple filing and sorting of reports. The time went by quickly.
"Ella, hopefully you have a better day tomorrow in class. I do not need to be called away from my work. You may go home now." I said and got up opened my door for her to leave. She left quickly but stopped about ten feet from my door and turned to face me.
"Thank you for the music box, I really like it." Then turned and ran down the stairs and out of the pack house.
"Did I just hear her correctly, you gave her one of your music boxes?" Eric asked standing at the doorway of his office.
"Yes," I said and went into my office and closed the door.
ERIC'S POV
Why did Calvin continue this farce. We should be Alpha if Calvin did not want to fight for it I would. I signaled the bartender for another drink.
"Hi doll, where has your brother been." One of the street girls asked.
"Gone all righteous he has," I told her.
"Pity." She said and walked away. Whatever Calvin had never had anything to do with them it was me they always met out back of the bar. I just used his name. I finished my drink and threw money on the bar then went out to my car. I had to start talking to people enough was enough.
"Excuse me, sir?" A tall man asked walking up to me.
"What can I do for you? I just leaving." I asked. He pulled out a cigar and offer me one. I took it. After he lit his cigar. He leaned against my car.
"My name is Hunter, Alpha Hunter." He said waiting to see my response.
"What can I do for you?" I asked again not confirming or denying anything.
I thought there was only one Fire Sky pack, I now see I was wrong." He said studying my face.
"I'm not sure what your getting at, Hunter, I really need to get back home." I told him.
"You look like a man with a problem, here is my number, I think we can help each other." Hunter said handing me a paper with his number on it then walked away. I got in my car and drove home. I threw the number inside the ashtray and forgot about it.
LESTER'S POV
I had got two faxes from Titan late last night. I put them in my briefcase and went down to breakfast after locking my office door. I placed my briefcase on one of the empty chairs and sat down at the table. Carmon my beautiful mate passed me my breakfast.
"You were up late again last night." She said filling my cup with coffee.
"Hopefully not tonight, I will be late getting home by a couple of hours I have to present some papers to the high council, and they have to go to the C.S.C. for signatures then come back." I told her as I ate.
"Can no one else at the law firm handle? this you have been run off your feet lately" she asked.
"My love, I promised Orion I would personally take care of this clint. I could make partner if I handle this client properly. That will make life easier for you and the children." I told her.
"If you start getting to tired and over worked I will have a word with Orion myself." She threatened.
