Chapter 71 Complainant
Ana nodded “I plan to do that tomorrow, I do not want him to get close to Thea not yet and not when that crazy woman is still his fiancee”
Emiliano nodded “If not for the meeting that took long you would have been able to go on time yesterday to pick her up”
Ana nodded “Yes, or should I just change her school? Ana suggested.
Emiliano shakes his head “No, that school is the best for her and I’m sure she is already making friends”
“Yes, it's true,” Ana sighed “She made mention of two friends she already has”
“See, so do not worry, just file for a retraining order”
Ana nodded “What about the investigation”
“It’s not going well, it seems Silvia knows how to hide her tracks and I do not think she has committed any offense of resent”
Ana nodded “I think we should stop the investigation. We will surely find a way, let’s just keep an eye on her”
Emiliano nodded “I have thought so too”
“What about your family, are they still trying to take the position from you?
“Everywhere suddenly went quiet, it seems grandfather found out what they are planning to do and has stopped it”
“That’s good news, I will just have to wait in the near future for when I will get to represent you as your lawyer cause I’m sure they will find other ways to attack you”
Emiliano smiled and nodded “Of course and I can’t wait for you to be my lawyer. That is if I do not decide to give up on the position before such opportunity comes”
“No Emiliano, you shouldn’t think of giving up, that position is rightfully yours and after all they have done you deserve it” Ana said.
Emiliano sighed, facing them was such a difficult task for him.
“When is your inauguration?”
“I haven’t found out yet”
“Tell me when you do, I will accompany you” Ana smiled.
“Of course you will because you are my biggest supporter,” Emiliano smiled at her.
Ana smiled too “Mum and Nala will arrive next week”
Emiliano smiled “Finally”
“Yes, I’m excitedly to have them here with me”
“But won’t Fernando find it suspicious that they are living in the same house with you and have similar surnames” Emiliano said in worry because they haven’t thought about that.
“Ana we haven’t thought about this, he will know it’s you because you have similar surnames. Why not just tell your mother and sister not to come yet. I can’t believe we forgot about this” Emiliano said in worry.
Fernando has been searching for them so he will surely know when they arrive”
Ana smiled “I have thought about it. We will just say we changed their names to mine to prevent him from finding them. And also I’m going to the police station to lay a complaint so that he will be stopped from investigating me further and will have a retraining order.
Emiliano nodded but was still worried. It all won’t make sense that they just decided to change their name but since Fernando still thinks he buried Ana, he will never come to the conclusion that it was her.
The next day, when she dropped Thea in school, she spoke to the school authorities about what happened yesterday and how important it was for a stranger not to approach her daughter apart from the people in the list of names she mentioned that her child can meet or go home with.
Afterwards, Ana left the school and went to the police station to file a complaint with evidence that Fernando Buenavista had been secretly investigating her and her daughter.
Fernando was in his office thinking about Ana’s daughter he saw yesterday that looks like him. He was not able to sleep last night because he was just thinking about that little girl that looks like him. And now instead of working he was busy still thinking about her.
A knock came and he told the person to come in knowing that it was his assistant.
“Boss, you have an invitation from the police station?”
Fernando was stunned but collected the invitation and saw that the complainant is Ana Del Rio and immediately recalled her threat yesterday to lay a complaint. Instead of getting annoyed he smiled.
Eric wondered what was funny about being called to the station “Sir what does it say? Eric asked.
“Don’t worry I will handle it, just take care of things in the office and push all the meetings I have till when I return” Fernando said this and stood up then picked up his well tailored gray suit and put it on.
Eric stood and watched his boss leave the office looking happy.
After half an hour Fernando arrived at the station alone. He told his guards to wait for him outside.
He walked into the station and everyone stood up and bowed their heads to him.
They knew who he was, he was the most powerful man in the city.
They were shocked when this sophisticated looking woman had come here and filed a complaint about Fernando Buenavista. This is the first time someone will be doing such a thing but yet this woman had the audacity and courage to go against such a powerful man.
But because they needed to follow the law they had sent a letter to invite him over.
Fernando looked around and smirked when he spotted the complainant standing and frowning at him.
“Mr Buenavista, so happy to have you in our station. Please come into my office to take your seat” the police head of department bowed his head as he ushered him into his office.
Fernando walked towards the office while his eyes stayed on Ana who frowned at him.
He passed her and went into the office, then sat down.
“You should also come in to Miss del Rio, so we can address the issue,” the police officer said to her calmly.
Ana gave him a bad look before going in and taking her seat. She was annoyed at how they handled the issue.
“The police officer sat across both of them and smiled, he cracked his throat. He is a man in his late fifties.
“Once again we are glad you honored our invitation. We know you are a busy man and coming here must be a waste of your time cause time is money for you” the police officer said and laughed in a funny way.
So what you are telling me is that he should not have come!! Are you saying that because he is a billionaire, that means he can come to the station whenever he likes!!” Ana said in anger.
