Chapter 70 Restraining order
Ana stood there shocked to see Fernando in her daughters' school and standing close to her. Panic set in immediately, her daughter who was already standing close to her pouted sadly as her mother did not plug her as she used to.
“Mummy, are you okay?”
Ana returned to her senses and smiled down at her daughter. She bent down and hugged her then kissed her cheek.
“I’m sorry baby, mummy was really busy which is why she was not able to come pick you in time. But I’m here now and I promise to buy you ice cream in any flavor of your choice to compensate for mummy’s lateness” Ana said to her daughter who smiled and nodded.
“Come on, let's go,” Ana said as she held her daughter's hand.
She walked her daughter to the suv, ignoring Fernando who was still standing there in shock.
Fernando, seeing that she had ignored him, immediately rushed after them.
The teacher stood there observing the situation. What happened now felt like a movie. Was it her, or did that little girl look like Fernando Buenavista?” The teacher shook the thought from her head. She wished she could tell someone this but as a teacher they were not allowed to gossip about the kids and their families.
Ana placed Thea inside the SUV and was about to get in but was dragged back by Fernando.
“What is the meaning of this Mr Buenavista” Ana frowned at him.
“We need to talk right now,” Fernando said.
Ana moved his hand away from hers “Just give mummy a few minutes, she needs to discuss with someone” Ana said to her daughter who nodded.
She closed the door and faced Fernando. Two of her guards were standing close in case of anything.
“You want to explain why you came to my daughter's school and were talking to her?” Ana said to her.
“You look so much like her, her face, the way she talks everything about her and you do not expect me to overlook the resemblance and similarities in names. I had to dig more about you and coming here is part of me finding out who you really are” Fernando said.
“Coming to my daughters school is part of your way of finding out if I'm the Ana you knew!? Do you know that I can decide to file a complaint!! I’m going to put a restriction on you. I will make sure you don’t get to do an investigation about me or my family and also do not come to my daughters school ever again. I do not want to see you close to my daughter again!!” Ana said in anger.
She had just wanted to go away but since he wanted to talk she better just give him a peace of mind.
Fernando was speechless ; he had nothing to say because she was right. She could sue him and get to put a restriction on him. He looked towards the suv where the child was seated inside, that child looks like him but it was just looks and there is no theory to prove anything. The Ana he knew was dead and was never pregnant. At least that is what is the truth right now.
Fernando turned and left there without saying anything else.
Ana watched him get into his suv and drove off.
She got into the vehicle and hugged her daughter tight while signing in relief. But still her heart was beating really fast. She never thought that Fernando would come to her daughter's school.
She made sure not to show her face but yet he had come. Why? Ana asked herself as her chauffeur drove them out of there.
Thea found her mothers behaviour to be suspicious.
Why did her mother look scared when she saw that man?
“Mummy, that man said you are his business partner” Thea said.
Ana looked at her daughter and nodded “Yes baby he is”
“Why did you look shocked when you saw him?” Thea looked at her mother.
“Because I was not expecting him to come to your school. He is a business partner but he is still a stranger, he is not supposed to come to your school”
“Should I avoid him and not speak to him next time?” Thea asked.
Her mother always tells her who to speak to and who not to so she wanted to know if she should speak to this man next time or avoid him.
Ana felt conflicted, she did not know if to say yes or no. Because saying no will mean she was telling her daughter not to speak to her father and if Thea comes to find out in the future that he is her father. She might not forgive her for telling her to avoid him. But if she says yes it will mean that she was inviting Fernando to be close to her.
Ana thought of what to say carefully "No and yes. What I mean is, if you come across him again, just say hello and show respect by but if he wants to speak to you come up with an excuse because you might get to see him again in the future”
Thea nodded understanding what her mother said, which is that he was not someone to avoid but someone they needed to be careful with.
Ana was glad that her daughter understood what she meant. She is glad she has a daughter who is as smart as her.
“Mummy, he had the same color of eyes as me. When I looked at his eyes it felt like I was staring at my own eyes” Thea said, not able to forget the blue eyes of that man that looks like hers.
Ana’s heart beat fast but she smiled to cover her anxiousness “Well people tend to have same color of eyes”
Thea looked at her mother but said nothing more. It felt like her mother was lying to her but she knew her mother had a good reason for her actions.
That night Ana speaks to Emiliano about what happened earlier in the day.
Emiliano was shocked “Can’t believe he had gone to the extent of going to her school, we need to file a restraining order” he said in anger.
