ELARA'S POV

"That was not a very good experience." I twitched my eyes as I pulled out my jackets.

".... maybe his mommy is dead..."

The sentence played in my head like a song. I do not know how he was going to survive with that speech that they gave to him.

Now these are the things that I want to avoid, I don't want my children to ever be addressed in that manner. Such words cut deep into people's hearts.

"That's by the way, I have a lot of work to do." I sighed.

It had gotten dark already, I just got to my anonymous account to see if anyone had dropped anything important for me to check.

"Nothing? What the fuck is going on?"

It seemed everyone had suddenly gone smart, no one wanted to show or give out information.

So how was I easily scammed and everyone knew about my father's company and came after them?

"Liam.." I grunted.

There is nothing on earth that will make me leave Liam out of anything that is happening in my life right now, I don't care to know but I know that he is part of the problem I am facing now.

"I will find you Liam and the people you send." I smiled and closed the laptop to rest.

I had a long day and have seen so many shits...

Enough for today.

I jerked up. I still had a sleepy eye, I held the door as I struggled my way to the door to see who was knocking.

"By this time? It is so early.." I lifted my eyes slowly and tiptoe to the door.

I was careful not to let the person know that I am close to the door. I stood there for minutes trying to hear anything fishy.

"Elara." And there came the old shaky voice..

I sighed in relief when I heard that it was only the weird old woman. I call her weird because why would she be stalking me like I'm her daughter or serial killer.

"I am coming, please hold." I hold my eyes, I don't have to be so sure.

Anything Could happen and I have to be careful with the people around me.

I opened the door to see her struggling with a huge basket of apples. I helped her immediately even when I wasn't sure where there were going.

"Good... morning... granny." I greeted confusingly as I tried to comprehend what was going on.

"You might be confused why I got it but I thought maybe you should have some fruits. That will help when you are too busy." She smiled, her cheeks had fallen but they still turned pink whenever she laughed.

"Uh....oh my goodness, I don't even know what to say. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it." I had a broad smile of confusion on my face.

I carried the basket into my house and dropped it on the table. I rushed back to the door and looked at her as she walked back to her house as I slowly shut the door.

"Wow! This woman has a lot of crazy things going up in her head." I sighed and walked back to check out the apples.

Why did she have to bring so many apples for me?

"Well, that aside. Maybe she is God's sent." I shook the thoughts off my head and picked one to devour it.

I had a big bite as I walked to my laptop and turned it on.

"Oops..." I tilted my head slowly when I realized that my teeth aren't brushed.

Well...

I shrugged it off and got on with what I wanted to do.

"Well... Disappointing just as I thought." I clenched my lips and tried not to be so hard on myself.

"That's all right, I'm going to move to the next thing." I took a deep breathe and left my father's company for a while.

Nothing good was coming out of it, I have my children to face too.

I bit another part of the apple as I left the page to somewhere else.

My eyes were fixed on the screen as I read every line carefully to make sure I understood it.

"Okay now this isn't getting funny, there is nothing good about what I just read. Like, "Don't they keep records of kids that were sold out??" The slightest smile that managed to get to my face faded off.

Am I going to sit and watch all these happen? Can I do something? Yes. Do I know what I want to do? No.

Crazy....

I have one more idea and that.....that would need me to step out.

"Alright fine I'm going to do it." I swallowed the apple that was left in my hands.

Victor's call came in.

No, not now.

"Please I promise that anything you tell me would be safe with me." I spoke with the calmest voice I could find in me.

"Ma'am in as much as I want to help you...these are rules. I can't give out information, if you are the mother then..." She shrugged, unable to finish the sentence.

"I am their mother, some shit happened and that's why they were brought here for safety. Trust me, nothing bad is going to happen." I pleaded my eyes out.

My words fell to deaf ears, on one listened to what I had to say. I sounded like a fool all of a sudden.

Tears dropped out of my eyes when I thought of the shame I am going through right now.

I felt a sharp pain in my chest. This isn't a good idea I guess but at least I can say how far I have gone to search for my kids.

"What's going on here?" The one with the higher authority I guess, came out looking like a burnt bitch.

My eyes stared into her soul as I walked out of the office without waiting to give her an answer.

I will find my fucking children!!!!

"Fuck!!!" I cursed in between my teeth.
