Twenty Five

Twenty Five

DOMINIC'S POV

Bailey wasn't getting any stronger at that moment. I had stayed up all night just to be sure that she was breathing fine and no one came to temper with her treatment.

This continued for some days until she started responding to treatment.

"I think she is getting better.." The doctor said with a huge sigh of relief.

They had run Helter skelter to make sure she was all right and she wasn't responding positively to any of those treatments so, that was something someone would be tired of.

"Yeah, you almost gave up but thank God you didn't." I smirked.

The doctor tilted his head and smirked too. Well, all thanks we didn't give up.

"Would you prefer to take her home or you will leave her here?" He asked, already making preparations to take her away.

"Yeah, I have a lot of things to attend to. I think it will be better for her to be around her brothers." I suggested.

"Alright then, let me get her drugs so she will be on her way"

He left for the office.

I struggled to make her stand, she was doing well but then a lot of weight was needed.

"We are going home honey.." I cupped her cheeks.

The nurses came to help me take her to the car while I waited to get what the doctor said.

"Here, instructions are written there too." He handed over a bag of drugs to me.

What the fuck!!!

I exclaimed with my jaw dropped, I mean that's a lot of drugs for leukemia.

"Alright thanks man." I got home.

"You are going to be fine, baby." She was shivering from the air-conditioner.

"I'm going to turn that off." I packed the car and turned it off.

We zoomed off to the house.

Back at home, it hasn't been easy but we got through it. The nanny and the maids did their job so well but I still see that as it wasn't enough.

"Aren't you going to eat anything?" Hayley got closer to her.

By this time Bailey got strong and was able to speak freely.

"I don't feel hungry. Is that hard for you to comprehend?" She grunts.

"Well, I do not care at first." He shrugged and continued with the food.

"Better,I prefer it that way at Least your mouth would be shut." She rolled her eyes and looked away.

"What?" Hayley was up already.

"Hey, hey .... that's enough. She is your sister, you both should show some respect to each other. Okay?" I held Hayley sit back on his chair.

"That's enough kids. Can we eat this in peace then we talk about that later?" I had to come in so the two kids could let us eat brunch in peace.

"You won't get away with this Bailey." Hayley snapped his fingers and walked back to his chairs.

I wasn't scared a bit because I had seen more threatening ones and they ended up doing nothing.

Everyone corporates and begins to eat quietly, a few minutes later Kaylie Walks into the house annoyed.

"What's wrong Kaylie?" I asked her with a worried face.

"Maybe he didn't get to put the ball in the fucking basket." Hayley mocked.

"Hayley!" I called out his name with a fierce look.

He was beginning to get on my nerves and I will not take it easy on him.

"Kaylie?" I turned to focus on Kaylie.

"I would let you finish your food. I don't want to interrupt." He sat on the couch.

"I am asking you to do so." At this point I had lost my appetite.

His mood really affected everyone at home.

"Kaylie." Bailey's little voice melted my heart.

And I guess it did to his too.

"Bailey, how are you feeling now? So I couldn't get to greet you. Enjoy your meal okay?" He merely smiled at her and turned back to the television.

I got the remote from him and switched it off.

"You can't be like this and expect your younger siblings to be looking happy." I whispered to him.

"I'm fine without him." Hayley cuts in.

"Shut up!!" I folded my hands into a fist.

"Nothing to worry about dad... I just want to know who my mother is. I get bullied everyday. I get kicked out of the game and I don't have a mother to come shout and get me into the fucking game!!!" I could feel his anger.

He was seething inside.

"Do you really need this now or your are just being angry?" I asked calmly.

I have no idea what to do in situations like this.

"I don't know..."

Hayley came from the dining room to the living room. I was pissed already that my eyes could tell before my mouth. It didn't scare him anyway, he came closer and held Kaylie's hands.

"We have dad here. Whoever bully's you can be handled by him." He said to his brother who had this look of disgust on his face.

"Get the fuck out of here." He pushed him away.

"No. Kaylie, you don't have to do that " I scolded him angrily.

"Your mother is alive somewhere and I know she will find you one day. You are the oldest here, you have to put your shit together and act strong. Okay? Whoever bully's you...will pay for it. Everyone of them." I meant those words but I know it wouldn't matter anymore once he calms down and plays off well.

Kaylie took a deep breathe and thought of what I said. He nodded and dragged Hayley back to himself.

"I'm stuck here. I need that hug too." Bailey cried from a distance.

"That's your punishment for telling me to shut up." Hayley struggled to speak even when his mouth was being covered.

I smiled watching them look happier again.

Life isn't going to get any easier for Kaylie. I need to teach him more.

"Alright boys...we are going to go on a walk. Just for fun."

"Yayy." They chorused.
