His Truth

His Truth
As the number of days grew so did my closeness to Deimos. I have slowly begun to come out of my shell and see the world and also have been bringing his walls down. Deimos and I have grown so close. The 'close' I once deemed as impossible when I had arrived but life always surprises you.

The sunrays flowing through the windows softly touches the lanes of his body as I smile to my thoughts. Hesitantly I snuggle closer to his warmth. My head lays on his left hand while his right hand is placed over his eyes. His chest rises and falls softly, his breath beautiful like a rhythm. I flinch when he moves his position moving his body facing me, giving me a clear view of him.

My itching fingertips move slowly towards his face trying to feel him. I slowly trace his thick eyebrows and down the length of his sharp nose. As my fingers move towards his full pink lips I gasp when he holds my wrist in a quick movement. My heart beats through my ribcage as his eyes flutter open.

"What do you think you are doing, mate?" His morning husky voice questions me calmly but I can see in his eyes. He's teasing me. As a deep blush covers my face, he brings me into his chest in one pull. My widened eyes look up to him while he looks down at me with a gentle smile. As I blush deeper and snuggle into his chest a soft chuckle leaves his lips as his chest rumbles.

"Where's your greeting, mate?" He asks me with his ever so serious tone.

"Good morning." I whisper into his chest as he chuckles once more. What is he even laughing at? What does he find funny?

"Morning." He tells me while putting a strand of my hair behind my ears while I stare at him. As he gets off the bed and stretches, I sit up watching him as he begins to do a few pushups. This feels so different. Waking up and he's there while I am watching his morning routine. It feels wonderful.

As he finishes his mini workout, he looks at me watching him and tilts his head to the side. I look away and clear my throat. I don't want him to think that I am obsessed with him or something.

"Would you like to go for a run?" He asks me gently as my head snaps to him. A run? With him? Together? As I take time to answer due to my brain processing his question, he gets the wrong the idea.

"So, you don't wish to? It's alright you can-" As he begins to accept his false idea, I cut him off.

"Yes! I wish to... I want to go for a run with you." I smile as he nods and we begin our walk to the fields.

Reaching the fields, he strips himself off his shirt giving me a delicious view of his upper sculpted body. Walking towards me he hangs his shirt on the tree behind me.

"Come. Let's run." He says as he takes off in a slow jog to warm up his body as I follow him.

After a while I learn that Deimos's jog is like a run for me. He is faster than me so keeping up with his pace is really hard. I run forward in front of him then begin to jog so he is behind me and follows my pace. After a few seconds Deimos comes in front of me and begins to jog as I frown. I do it once more trying to get ahead of the male and he does it too. He doesn't let me lead the run.

Frustrated I begin to run in front of him and my jogging grew faster. As a rush of wind flows past me Deimos is ahead once more. With a huff I stop my jogging and begin to run. I run far ahead of Deimos and continue running without looking back with a big smirk on my face. A loud growl thunders behind me as I look back, I see Deimos running and gaining towards me. Like a predator that catches its prey.

A small scream leaves my lips as my legs work harder making me run faster disappearing within the trees. I don't know how this turned into a game of chase but all I know is if I get caught, I will be eaten.

Jumping over fallen logs and running through and upon streams and stones my legs begin to get weaker asking for a break. My ears catch a growl from behind as my skin feels his breath on my neck. My eyes widen and I push my legs to their limit pushing them to run faster. If I get back to the pack house perhaps, he can calm down.

But before I could take a turn Deimos takes the chance to pounce and cage me on the floor beneath him. But I don't scream rather laughter leaves my mouth. Loud laughter from my belly as he watches me with his chest heaving, his elbows on each of my side holding his weight.

"What should I do now that I have caught my prey?" He questions me, his voice husky as he sniffs my neck. "Should I eat it?" He whispers in my ears as his warm tongue tastes my burning skin. I shiver below him caged under his strong body. His arms at each of my side blocking my escape. His touch sets me on fire from within.

"Don't eat me. I-I don't taste good." I tell him as I begin to laugh. This is the first time I have laughed so much. My heart is so happy it wants to pour out everything it didn't have a chance to experience. Deimos chuckles bringing his mouth to mine.

As our lips touch, I bring him closer to me my arms around his check and thighs around his waist. Biting. Licking. Tasting. Devouring. Sliding his warm palm under my shirt touching my skin, he starts a fire within me. He brings me closer to him by pulling my waist towards him in one fluid movement. As our haze takes us deeper into ecstasy Deimos stops and looks towards the pack house.

"What is it?" I question him with a frown as he removes himself off me standing up while helping me up.

"Ragon wishes to speak with me." He says walking forward as I follow him quietly. Deimos doesn't say a word as we walk back. Our playful, happy bubble has disappeared and instead we are in a cold, anxious one.

As we reach the pack house Deimos immediately heads to his office. "Should I come too? Perhaps I can help. Is it a pack problem? I can-" I begin to ask him climbing behind him up the stairs.

"No!" His sudden reply makes me flinch as he sighs. "I can take care of it. Get some breakfast." He says continuing up the stairs.

Confused and curious I head into the breakfast hall. The wolves wait for Deimos and me. Sitting upon my seat I tell the wolves. "Deimos won’t be coming to breakfast today, we may start." I say taking the first bite while the pack follows.

"Alpha? Is something wrong?" Elriam asks understanding my discomfort.

"I don't know. Something feels wrong but he didn't let me in. What if it's another war Elriam? I feel anxious. I don't like this feeling."

His Truth – Part II
"He will definitely tell you, Alpha. If not, I can just force it out of Ragon." Elriam comforts me with a wink. "Why don't you take some breakfast to them? I think they will relax if you do." She tells me her idea gently while I agree with a soft nod.

As the breakfast comes to an end, I pack some up for Deimos and Ragon and head up the stairs walking towards the office. A sudden loud growl almost makes me drop the plates as I head closer, I debate whether I should disrupt them or not until I get an insight into their conversation.

"Alpha! This is wrong. You cannot do this. You must tell her." Ragon's voice is calm and serious. Tell her? Who? Tell her what?

"You dare command me?" Deimos roars to which Ragon doesn't seem to be fazed.

"You know I am right, Alpha. I am merely telling you the truth." Ragon tells him calmly.

"She doesn't need to know! Things are going smoothly. That is what I wanted." Deimos replies to him. Anger simmering on the surface.

"This is unfair Alpha! Luna thinks that what you show her is your truth. Don't hurt her further." Ragon's tone is getting stronger. Isn't he talking about me? Placing the plates on the floor I move closer to the door with shaking hands.

"End of discussion! I have told you my choice don't fight me!" Deimos's loud voice makes me flinch as my heart beats.

"Tell her the truth, Alpha!" Ragon fights back. My heart beat increases.

"Enough!" Deimos screams. My heart beats faster.

"Tell her everything is an act! An act so she stays, so she believes you. So, she bares your pups." Ragon's words pierces through the air right through my heart. My heart beat stops.

"I said enough! Ragon you are dismissed. Leave!" As I hear the boom of Deimos's voice and Ragon's footsteps coming towards me yet I make no move to leave. My mind confused, my heart in pain. I stand there with tears streaming down my face as the room swirls around me.

Slowly lifting my eyes from the ground with soft whimpers coming out my mouth I come eye to eye with Ragon whose eyes widen but drown in sadness. As he bows and leaves, Deimos comes into view. Not the Deimos I woke up in the morning with but with the Deimos who stripped me apart from my pack.

I see no guilt in his eyes as his eyes stare deep into my eyes. He watches my tears yet he makes no move to apologize or even defend himself.

"Liar." I whisper as his hands shake. He tries to hide it by curling them into a fist but I see his every movement. "Everything... was a lie?" I ask him calmly swallowing my hiccups.

He doesn't answer me as he clenches his jaw and his fists tighter.

"Tell me at least some of it was true. Like when you showed me your paradise. The cabin or even today when we woke up together." I ask him lips trembling my voice shaking. He still doesn't talk to me. He doesn't know what to say. "Please." I beg him. Alpha to Alpha, I beg him.

My male looks away from me indirectly answering my question as tears stream further and I sob covering my mouth with my hands. We are back to square one. I thought I could see the real Deimos but I didn't know that I already knew him. This is the real Deimos. Cold and unmerciful. He doesn't mind striking down anyone in his path including his moon blessed.

"I-I opened myself to you! I showed you things... things I wanted to take to my grave! I did it all for you." I scream at him as he flinches. "You pried me open took my guts out all for what? For what Deimos?" I scream louder. Can he see my pain? The pain he brought forth.

"Some things must be done, mate. You must understand this." He tells me calmly.

"No! No! Not this! No male would do this to their female and you... you need to understand this." My voice booms across the halls. Perhaps the entire pack is hearing our battle. Let them know who their Alpha is. Let them know my pain that I hide with a smile.

"Why? At least tell me why?" I question him.

"I needed you to stay by my side and not leave. And for that I... I needed you to love me." He whispers and I finally see the hint of guilt in his eyes.

I laugh. Not a happy one, a one filled with sorrow. It's a cry for help to rescue me from all of this. "I'll let you in on a little secret Deimos. I would have stayed no matter what you did or what you said because I lo-." I tell him but stop. I don't want to tell him. I don't want him to think he won. "It doesn't matter anymore because what you didn't want will come true now. I will leave." I tell him trying to control my sobs.

His eyes widen as anger consumes him; he questions me. "What? Where?"

With a small smile I reply to him knowing this will anger him further and perhaps might even cause him pain. "Cronus."

He growls to my answer as I turn around, my hand above the handle opening the door. "You are free to do as you please. Find another to take my place or let her bare you pups as you wish. I will not fight for you anymore. I am done." I leave the room tears streaming down my face.

It's funny how one is cursed to never find true happiness. This is my destiny. To be alone. Walking down the stairs I come face to face with Ragon and Elriam as the rest of the pack stand with their heads bowed.

"Please Luna, don't leave. We need yo-" Ragon begins as I cut him off with my hand.

"I have fought hard and now I need to rest." I tell him calmly as he looks down at the floor while my female’s whimper.

"Alpha, I will come with you." Elriam stands head held high ready to protect me.

"You will stay here with the pack. You will protect them on my behalf. This is an order." I command as she bows holding her tears.

"Yes, Alpha." She answers me with a strong voice.

"Ragon, will you drive?" I ask him softly as he nods.

Walking to my females I bid farewell to every one of them. "Come visit me." I tell them softly to which they softly nod tears streaming down their face.

Looking around the castle I smile to myself so this is how everything ends. This is how I lose my long battle. I leave and my male stays. My dreams will be put to sleep forever.

This is how it all seems to end.
