Chapter 239

WRITER'S POV

----

"It's about time." A voice muttered in the darkness sending shivers down the spine of anyone who might be nearby.

But luckily, there was no one nearby. So no one was scared to the point they would pee in their pants.

"I never expected it to take so long." The voice continued and suddenly a small white light was seen.

This was the figure's eyes, the place was so dark that the figure's eyes were able to slightly illuminate the place.

Next, the crackling of bones was heard as the figure stood up.

"Oohhh!"

A moan was emitted from the figure when the crackling was completed.

"It's time to leave. I hope you're all still alive so I'll be able to have my fill." The figure laughed and disappeared from the place.

"So this is what it feels to bask in the sun." The figure smiles, glancing at the sky while looking at the sun.

One could see the outline of the figure now, it was a female.

It was Laura, her appearance hadn't changed over the past twenty years.

After finishing off Ashina and the witch, she collapsed due to the effect of the poison as she didn't expect the Poison to be potent.

But before she left, she made sure to put everyone under her submission spell so they wouldn't think of rebelling.

Hiding in the darkness, she was able to counter the effect of the poison and also refine the power of the witch.

Everything took her twenty years and now she was back. The first place she headed to was the castle.

Currently, she was standing on the highest point while looking down at her subjects who were bowing.

Even though her appearance didn't change much, her aura had changed.

It had become a lot denser than it used to be and was more refined.

She was a lot more powerful than she was twenty years ago. She was confident that if she had this power twenty years ago, she would have been able to achieve more than she had achieved.

Nevertheless, she was still satisfied with her achievement. Now she was sure no one could stop her from her future ambition.

Her ambition was to take over the world and subject everyone under her rule.

She felt as if she was not too far from achieving that. No one would be able to stop her, not even her nephew.

No matter how powerful he was, he wouldn't be able to stop her as she was sure no one would be able to teach him how to use his powers.

She was finally going to be able to go against her fate. The terrible fate which had been hunting her for over twenty years.

Now she was going to prove that not all visions would come to reality.

She was ready for whatever was going to come. She had to prepare.

Even though she was ready, she had to make sure nothing went wrong.

Laura wondered if Daciana was still alive.

Even if she was alive there was not much she was going to be able to do.

She should be seriously sick and bedridden so there was no way she would be able to teach her son how to use his powers.

Besides, he was just a reservoir whose water had not been tapped. She was going to devour his powers and become even stronger.

Even though she could tell how powerful her nephew was, she was sure he wouldn't disappoint her.

Again she thought about Dorian. The guy should probably be awake now.

If the guy had been alive, then it would have been even more difficult for her to win against Bryan because she knew how powerful Dorian was.

He was sure to teach him all he knew and was going to groom him to be the best warrior.

She wondered if the ice was broken. But then she couldn't feel anything so she was sure he wasn't awake yet.

If the ice was broken she would have known, but the ice was still as intact as it had ever been.

She knew there was no way to melt the ice so the possibility of the ice melting was removed.

Maybe he had given up and had died, but then she could feel his life force.

It was even stronger than it was twenty years ago. Laura couldn't help but have a premonition in her heart.

She didn't understand how things were playing out. Just because she had been cut off for over twenty years she seemed unable to understand anything again.

This was bad. She had to do something or else with the way she was feeling she was going through getting caught up in a storm that was going to arrive.

She had to look for a solution so as not to be caught up in the deadly storm approaching.

Laura sighed and pushed all thoughts to the back of her mind. She shouldn't panic or else it was going to affect our rationality.

She had to be meticulous or else she was going to be in a dire situation.

But what in hell was she going to do? She could think of anything at the moment.

Suddenly Laura froze and a smirk appeared at the corner of her mouth.

It was finally happening.

He was finally awake. But then it was too late. Even though she could feel that he had grown stronger the moment the ice broke there was nothing he could do.

Even though the feeling and connection had disappeared almost in an instant she could still tell.

Well, it was useless for him to be awake now. It was late.

If only he was awake some years before now, then he might still be able to salvage the situation.

But not now, it was too late. Laura couldn't help but shake her head before she disappeared.

The final round would soon begin. She had to get ready before it would begin.
