DIANA
My mind was still reeling from the revelation, the one that Damon was behind his parents' deaths. I couldn't believe that he could be so wicked and vile.
All the time I had been with him and never guessed, I could never have.
I tossed my phone on the bed and lay back down. The preparations for war were still ongoing. Bradley had ordered men to the pack borders.
A knock came on my door, and I walked to the door, peeping out the hole to see who it was. Marian.
She looked different today, as if she had been working too hard. I opened the door for her.
“Good evening, Luna, the alpha said I should get you to eat.
He noticed that I had eaten all day. I could feel the hunger in me, so it was best to eat, ofc.
I took my phone and went with her to the dining room where she had set up the plates.
I sat down and began to eat.
My mind went to Damon and what had happened again. How had he killed them? Or had he paid someone to do so?
God, if he could kill them, then what would he do to me?
Suddenly an alarm blared out.
I stood up in panic. What had happened?
I heard the shouts of some men and walked towards them.
“They're in," one gamma said.
Bradley strode into the room, alert and rigid. Elias walked in behind him.
“Take them to the outer city, make sure you stop him, kill him if you have to" he ordered Elias.
After which he turned to leave.
Elias stayed behind, beginning to disperse the men to their various posts.
“Alive or dead, but halt the breach there," he roared.
The wolves let out howls and cheers, a sort of excitement at the fight that was coming. This was the sick beauty of war, the way we craved it, it was in our blood, but suppressed it until we didn't need to.
I left them heading to Bradley's office.
He was pacing the room, his hand tapping furiously on his phone.
“What happened?" I asked him.
He looked up at me, “There was a breach at one of the outer cities, direct access to here," he told me.
Oh goddess no, Damon had landed a strategic hit.
“Our men?" I asked.
"They're fighting, but they've reduced significantly, although backup is going in now,” he looked before speaking.
I made a hum, my mind absent. The war that we had all been speculating had begun now and we almost weren't ready.
“I need you to go to your room and stay there, I have to organize them myself, and I don't want to worry about you right now." he gave me a stern look, making me feel like a child.
I wanted to oppose him, but the look in his eyes wouldn't appreciate that, definitely, and anyway, why did I need to fight about it? He was right.
Damon was here for me and I definitely didn't want to go with him.
I nodded, turning back to go to my room.
“Keep the door locked, open for no one but me, not even your maid" he commanded me.
I continued on back to my room, taking a pack of chicken nuggets and going in to lock myself in.
I wanted to go out there and defend myself but I didn't want to risk being caught by Damon yet, not when he was like this. He was a different man when angry.
I didn't know how many hours I had been sitting and thinking when a knock came on the door, making my eyes spring open.
Who could it be? Had the fight finished? Was Bradley back? I had been thinking about his safety for so long, I prayed the goddess would keep him safe.
I checked through the peephole but there was nobody there, strange.
I closed it back and was about to move back into my room when a sudden loud bang rang through the room.
“What the fuck?" I couldn't finish my sentence because Damon clasped a hand over my mouth pulling him to me.
I kicked, trying to push away from him but he held me tighter.
“I told you I would be here for you," he whispered into my ear, his breath fast and heavy.
I tried kicking away but he held, “Stop it now. I've got you and I'm not letting go"
He pulled both of us towards the other door, the one that led into the servants' exit. He looked carefully around before exiting, and then he raced across the open field into the small woods next to it.
I tried to scream but his hands covered my mouth tightly, “Nobody is coming for you.”

Elias walked out of Bradley's office. He had to go to the battleground now; it seemed Damon's army had been better-prepared than they had expected.
He was going towards the door when he heard a sound. Had they reached here?
He headed toward the space where the sound had come from. There, he found Damon dragging Diana away from her room into the hallway and out the servants' exit.
Elias felt a thrill run through him. What would he do? Follow both of them or tell Bradley?
He turned around to go tell Bradley but stopped.
If Damon got her, then this senseless war would end there. They wouldn't need to be fighting amongst themselves, after all, it had all happened because of her.
He walked back towards the main door, continuing on his plan before he saw her.
He wiped the memory away, he didn't care what happened to her. Damon could kill her and he wouldn't care.
From inside her room, Marian looked out the window to see Damon dragging Diana along.
She nearly burst with joy, her Luna would like this. She picked up her phone and called.
“I heard it's started, is all well?" She asked as soon as she picked up the call.
“Yes ma'am, I've just seen Damon dragging Diana away-" she didn't finish because Celeste interrupted her.
“What?" She shouted in alarm, "Stop that immediately, he can't take her"
Marian panicked, fuck, how was she going to stop them now?
She ended the call to think properly.
There was only one way, she rushed out of the quarters after they had gone out of sight towards the pack house.
She went straight to Bradley's office and knocked on the door, waiting for him to permit her to come in.
“Come in," his deep, troubled voice boomed.
She rushed in, breathing heavily, and told him, “Alpha, I just saw him take her"
Bradley stood up from his chair in haste, “Take who?" He boomed.
“Alpha Damon just took Luna Diana, I saw them head towards the dead-end forest." She rushed out.
Bradley didn't wait for her to say anything else, he rushed out of the office, tearing his clothes off and racing off to find her.
His heart was racing; he needed to find her before he did anything to harm her or take her away from him. He didn't care that he would kill him to do so; in fact, he decided that he would kill him. Enough with the games.
Damon finally stopped in the small clear space at the very end of the forest, and Diana stumbled away from him.
Unfortunately, she couldn't race away; he was dominating the area from where she could run into the forest, and the crazed look in his eyes didn't encourage her. She wasn't sure what he would do if she tried it.
“Why are you doing this?" She shouted at him, she was tired of being the quiet one.
Damon let out a laugh, “I wouldn't need to do all this if you had just stayed, maybe if you needed space away from me, I would have understood, but you tried to leave." his voice rose higher the more he spoke.
“I didn't want-" she tried to speak but Damon cut her off.
“You tried to leave me? After everything I had done for you. I made you my beta when I didn't have to, I loved you with everything in me and you tried to leave?" He sounded as if he couldn't believe it.
Diana let out a scoff. What a way to make himself the victim. “You left me, you chose Celeste due to your ambitions didn't you?" She asked.
Her blood boiled with hot burning anger at the audacity he had. The way he made it sound like he had been so perfect and she had only been looking for a flaw.
“But I loved only you, I needed to do something, I couldn't just watch my pack sink," he told her. He had stopped shouting now.
Diana snorted in disbelief, “Is every pack issue solved with a marriage? There were many ways to do it, and you chose. You've lost me, Damon.” Her tone had the ring of finality in it.
Damon roared in disbelief, “You are mine" he advanced towards her with a snarl.
“You'll always be mine, you'll never be his" he pointed to the direction of the pack house, “You'll only be mine, I don't care if I have to force you"
Diana couldn't hold it in anymore, “Oh, maybe if I refuse you'll kill me like you did my parents?"
Damon froze at her words, his advance towards her stopping. Her words had shocked him. How did she know?
"What?” He said confused.
His confusion emb
Oldened Diana, "Yes, I know your dirty secret. I know you killed them. Were you really that desperate Damon?” She asked him.
His face contorted into anger, "How dare you”
