Chapter 17: The immortal spring II

The immortal spring was located in the immortal city. This was a smaller city in City Kahn, but its buildings were made from different materials, ranging from brass to diamonds depending on the hierarchy of the brothers.

As they approached the immortal spring, Christopher and the others were awestruck by the sheer magnificence of the place. The spring itself was a shimmering pool of iridescent liquid, surrounded by lush vegetation and towering trees that seemed to touch the sky. The air was filled with a sweet, floral scent, and a gentle breeze rustled through the leaves, creating a soothing melody.

"This place is incredible," Sarah whispered in amazement, her eyes wide with wonder.

"It's like something out of a fairy tale," Evangeline added, her voice filled with awe.

Even Zinedine and Andrew were no exceptions as they were surprised, this scene was so different from the image they painted in their heads.

Chiffu smiled proudly as he watched their reactions. He had seen the immortal spring many times before, but each visit still filled him with a sense of wonder and reverence.

"Come, let's not waste any time," he said, leading the way towards the pool.

As they approached, Christopher noticed several other groups of people gathered around the spring, each with their own tickets of varying tiers. Some were chatting excitedly, while others were meditating quietly, their eyes closed in concentration.

"These must be the other visitors," Andrew commented, gesturing towards the groups.

Christopher nodded, taking in the sight. He felt a sense of anticipation building inside him, eager to experience the legendary powers of the immortal spring for himself.

As they reached the edge of the pool, Chiffu handed each of them a small vial.

"These vials are enchanted to collect the energy of the immortal spring," he explained. "Simply dip them into the water, and they will absorb the essence of the pool."

Christopher and the others nodded, taking the vials gratefully. They could feel the energy emanating from the spring, a tingling sensation that seemed to invigorate their bodies and minds.

Without hesitation, they dipped their vials into the water, watching as they filled with a shimmering liquid that seemed to glow with an otherworldly light.

As they withdrew their vials, they could feel the power of the immortal spring coursing through them, filling them with a sense of vitality and strength.

"It's incredible," Scott exclaimed, his eyes wide with amazement.

"I feel like I could take on the world," Victony added, a grin spreading across his face.

Chiffu smiled, pleased to see their excitement. He knew that the power of the immortal spring was not to be underestimated, and he was glad to see them experiencing its effects firsthand.

As they stood by the pool, basking in the energy of the spring, Christopher couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards Chiffu. Without his guidance and support, they would never have been able to experience something as extraordinary as this.

"Thank you, Chiffu," he said, turning to the older man with a smile.

Chiffu nodded, his eyes twinkling with pride.

"You're welcome, Christopher. I'm glad I could share this experience with you."

Chiffu also entered the pool and did the same with his own vial.

"Let's go deeper, to the limits our tickets can get us to, just instill a portion of the energy in your vials into the ticket."

The all quickly did as Chiffu instructed, and they were basked in a Silver light, which took them towards where the 2nd tier owners were basking in the light.

As they continued to soak in the energy of the immortal spring, Christopher and the others felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over them. For a moment, all their worries and fears melted away, leaving only a sense of wonder and awe.

After few moments of basking in the spring, a rainbow like phenomenon spiraled put of Christopher, Sarah, Evangeline and Valerie, drawing the attention of everyone in the spring.

"Look over there, isn't that the phenomenon from the legend, that could only be triggered by a dragon among men." The crowd were bewildered by the sight before them.

According to the legend, when basking in the immortal spring, if ones talent exceeded a certain level, one would be able to trigger a phenomenon which would help them make use of the spring water faster and they would certainly make a huge jump in soul power.

"No, something is not right, the phenomenon is more than one, meaning there is more than one person, one of these phenomenon should be caused by the young master of Kahn, but it doesn't seem to come from the deepest region." A man said in the outer region.

"Assuredly our young master should be amongst these phenomenon, only if we could move closer to see the others who triggered it with him, or are there young masters from other cities?" So many questions like this were asked all around.

After few minutes, the phenomenon receded and Christopher and the others opened their eyes.

But little did they know, their peaceful moment would soon be shattered by a series of events that would change their lives forever...

Just as they were about to leave, a loud commotion broke out among the other visitors gathered around the spring. Christopher turned to see what was happening and saw a group of people approaching, led by a tall, imposing figure with a cold, calculating expression.

"Who are they?" Sarah asked, her voice tinged with concern.

"I'm not sure," Chiffu replied, his brow furrowed in concern. "But they don't look friendly."

As the group drew closer, Christopher could see that they were armed and clearly meant business. He felt a sense of unease wash over him, wondering what could have brought them to the immortal spring.

Before he could ponder further, the leader of the group stepped forward, his eyes cold and calculating as he surveyed the scene before him.

"Chiffu," he said, his voice dripping with contempt. "I should have known you would be behind this."

Chiffu's expression hardened, and he took a step forward, his fists clenched at his sides.

"What do you want, Xander?" he demanded, his voice cold and steely.

Xander smirked, a cruel glint in his eyes.

"I'm here to claim what's rightfully mine," he said, his voice low and menacing. "And it seems I'm not the only one."

Christopher watched the exchange with growing unease, his instincts telling him that trouble was brewing. He glanced at Sarah and the others, seeing the fear and uncertainty mirrored in their eyes.

"We should get out of here," he whispered, his voice urgent.

But before they could move, the situation escalated into violence. Xander's men lunged forward, their weapons drawn as they advanced on Chiffu and his companions.

Christopher and the others sprang into action, drawing their own weapons as they prepared to defend themselves. The air crackled with tension as the two groups clashed, their shouts and cries echoing through the clearing.

As the battle raged on, Christopher felt a surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins. He fought with all his strength, his mind focused solely on protecting his friends and defeating their enemies.

But despite their best efforts, they were outnumbered and outmatched. Xander's men fought with ruthless efficiency, their attacks coordinated and deadly.

In the midst of the chaos, Christopher caught sight of Chiffu locked in combat with Xander himself. The two men clashed with a ferocity that was almost palpable, each blow landing with bone-crushing force.

Christopher knew that they needed to end this fight quickly, before anyone got seriously hurt. With a renewed sense of determination, he redoubled his efforts, striking out at his enemies with all his strength.

But just as victory seemed within their grasp, disaster struck. One of Xander's men landed a lucky blow, striking Christopher on the head and sending him sprawling to the ground.

As darkness closed in around him, Christopher fought to stay conscious, his mind reeling from the impact. He could hear the sounds of battle fading away, replaced by a distant ringing in his ears.

And then, everything went black.
