Chapter 16: Immortal spring I
"Wait what adventure?" The others asked in unison and this just caused Chiffu to smile again further putting them in the dark.
His smile was looking mischievous.
"Uncle Chiffu, if I hadn't known you for a long time, I would have been scared out of my wits, because your smile looks so mischievous." Andrew shook his head with a wry smile.
"Huh..." This caused Chiffu to quickly retract his smile and scratch his head in embarrassment.
"Anyways you guys shouldn't bother about it, when tomorrow comes, you'll find out." He assured them with a smile.
Andrew guided the ladies to their respective rooms, while Chiffu guided Christopher and the guys to their rooms.

Christopher was shocked when he viewed his status window.
He was flabbergasted about such insane stats that he didn't know he had already amassed.
His mind drifted to the realm walker line, he thought while scratching his head "Why would I get a skill from just traveling?"
"Christopher, traveling through worlds without a backlash is a huge feat as it doesn't have to do with one's soul power but with one's body's constituents." Little bot pointed out.
"Is that meant to sound impressive?"
"Because all of us that were plunged into that vortex, all landed without a backlash." Christopher doubted its credibility.
Little Bot went silent as she didn't know how to respond.
"Anyway let's forget it, the truth will reveal itself soon, let's just rest and see what Chiffu has in store for us tomorrow."
*Chiffu's apartment*
Chiffu's apartment seemed to have a touch of luxury compared to what Christopher and the rest lived in on Earth.
It was reminiscent of a king's room, with flower vases by the bed that upheld a very nice manly fragrance, a huge chandelier that was powered with some mutant light and it even had a colossal window that touched the ceiling and the floor where he could have a nice view of the city.
"Uncle, it's unlike you to bring back strangers from your adventures, what did you see in them that made you bring them along with you." Andrew felt there was another side to it and didn't believe his Uncle would be so nice as to help so many strangers on a whim.
"Son, it's really unlike me, I wouldn't have brought them with me if I had a choice, it's a complicated matter," Chiffu said with a wry smile.
"Complicated matter? Uncle, please tell me what exactly is going on." Andrew tried to persuade Chiffu to reveal the truth.
"Telling you what it is might be detrimental to both of us." Chiffu still had that helpless smile on his face.
"Detrimental?" Andrew gulped, it sounded like there was more to it than what was reflected on the surface.
"Son, try your best not to cause trouble for them, if possible try to draw them closer to you, they might be a huge boost to your leveling up, I'm also trying to court favor from them, that's why I'll be using the ticket I obtained from general Zhou to bring them to the immortal spring tomorrow." Chiffu finally revealed his intentions for the next day's adventure.
"Uncle, you are taking them to the immortal spring!!!" Andrew exclaimed in shock, he knew how hard Chiffu worked to lay his hands on those tickets. The ticket carried the grace to bring along a maximum of 5 people with him and he had 3 of such tickets, even with that, he wouldn't necessarily bring them along just because they were together, he wasn't running a charity organization.
"Andrew, if my plans work out, the immortal spring is minuscule compared to the colossal return, my ticket can accommodate
up to 10 people, I'm not exactly losing anything," Chiffu reassured him with a smile.
"After all, uncle never plays and loses." Andrew praised.
"Mm, go ahead and sleep, tomorrow is going to be a long day." Chiffu nodded.
"If words get out on the task I gave you, you are dead meat."
As Andrew left for his room, a voice appeared in Chiffu's head, threatening him.
"M-milord, I- I won't tell nobody about it." Chiffu stuttered in extreme fear of the voice, no, not the voice but the owner of the voice.
He recognized this voice to the bones, it was because of this person he offered a helping hand to Christopher and the others.
"Don't worry boy, I know you won't, this is just a reminder." The voice said in a tone that made him feel uneasy.
"M-milord, if I may ask, please w-who is Christopher to you?" Chiffu asked still stuttering.
There was no response from the voice this time. Chiffu called out for the voice repeatedly, but there was no response still.
"Guess there are people beyond people and heavens beyond heavens," Chiffu said with a wry smile, has he felt tinier than an ant before this voice, even big figures in this city never made him feel this way.
"You shouldn't inquire about knowledge that doesn't concern you, just do your task." The voice sounded again but it sounded farther from the previous words, the owner had left the premises.
"I-I won't milord." Chiffu quickly kowtowed to the space before him out of fear.
**The next day**
Chiffu, Christopher, Sarah, Evangeline, Andrew and the others were all standing outside Chiffu's apartment getting ready to travel up north, which is where the immortal spring is located. Even Zinedine was amongst them.
"Uncle is he also going to follow us?" Andrew asked Chiffu with a grumpy look while pointing at Zinedine.
"Yo, what's with that excited look on your face, you must be so happy you will travel along with someone of my caliber," Zinedine said with a smug look on his face.
"My master said he should not miss the fun, my tickets would be just enough for all of us to gain entry into the spring," Chiffu revealed 3 slips that had a silver sparkle on them with figure 5 boldly written on each one of them.
"Hmph" Zinedine snorted with disgust towards Andrew.
"Whoa, Uncle you got a 2nd tier ticket! Not just 1, but 3 for crying out loud!" Andrew exclaimed in shock.
"You must look down on your Uncle, boy." Chiffu rolled his eyes had he said smugly.
"Big brother Andrew, what is this silver ticket all about." Evangeline inquired as she tugged Andrew's sleeves.
Andrew reverted his eyes to her and then looked at Christopher and the people who came with him and he noticed the questioning look on their faces too.
He then coughed and stood up straight with his head high, he felt proud for them to look at him in such a way due to his so-called "colossal knowledge".
"Let's get going before we get there late, I'll explain things on the way," Andrew said as they started traveling up north with Chiffu's shuttle that could float in the air with hyper speed, it was a very common vehicle at Plavox.
"Gaining access to the immortal spring is something that most people won't achieve in their entire lifetimes."
"The immortal spring is ruled by the immortal brothers; these immortal brothers are all brothers who outnumber a thousand."
"Now these immortal brothers in unity are a force one would have to think not just twice before one would think of crossing them."
"Despite being brothers, they have a hierarchy where the common ones just have access to the immortal spring, while the lower ranked ones can dish out 3rd tiers tickets which only, the middle ones can dish out 2nd tiers tickets, and the highest rank dish out 1st tiers tickets."
"Still, even the commoners are comparable to Uncle Chiffu as they are also evolvers, while rumors have it that the Lower rank has entered the realm of the surpasses my Intel has little information about middle-ranked and the highest rank."
"Now these tickets have different uses, the 3rd tier ticket allows entry for only one person and it allows one to only make use of the energy at the outermost part of the spring which has the least concentration of soul power."
"The 2nd tier tickets allow entry for 5 people and users are privileged to go deeper, which is a point with higher concentration than the outermost part."
"While the 1st tier is the rarest of all, it is given to people who are powerhouses in this city Kahn, since the immortal pool is opened just once a year, there have been some years with no one with access to the 1st tier tickets."
"Funny enough, the 1st tier ticket only gives entry to 3 people and they are eligible to access the deepest part of the immortal spring with the highest concentration."
"But I heard rumors that the Young master of City Kahn would pay the immortal spring a visit this time and surely, he would gain access to the 1st tier ticket."
This left Christopher and the others in high expectancy towards the immortal spring.
After a while, they got to their destination and the sight before them was something completely different from their imaginations.
