Stormbound Hearts

Lyra Voss has spent eighteen years living in the shadow of the sister her mother actually wanted. While golden-haired Selene is praised as perfect, Lyra’s violet hair and failed first Choosing marked her as a disgrace. So when the kingdom gathers for the annual Dragon Choosing, Lyra does the unthinkable: she sneaks in for a second chance no one is supposed to get. Before she can be exposed, a storm dragon long thought lost descends from the sky and bonds to her. Taken to the elite Dragonrider Academy, Lyra is thrust into a world of brutal training, political rivalries, and ancient rules—including one that forbids riders from romantic entanglements. A rule made impossible by Kai Stormridge, her oldest friend and the boy she has never stopped wanting. As Tempest begins sending Lyra visions of red lightning and burning wings, she uncovers a buried truth: dragons are being hunted, bonds are failing, and the kingdom’s history was built on a lie. To save the skies, Lyra must decide who to trust—before the storm inside her destroys everything first.
