Chapter 11

As bad as I sounded, he desperately needed to hear it. Not that I didn’t hurt myself by saying it — it did, but that’s the truth. He wants to take me to his bed, nothing else. He has no feelings for me at all. And, I can’t do this with my own brother. Just because a brother of mine could stoop down so low for sex, doesn’t necessarily mean that I would as well. Not a chance in hell.

“I'm scared of losing you.” He whispers, ignoring my earlier reply, his hand still caressing my back.

“I’m not yours to lose, Reign.” I snap, making his breath shudder, and that’s when I realised that he was pressing his body on mine. With no garment to hide his body, he pressed himself with me further more. I could feel that he was hard. No way.

“You’re my brother…and I love you. Would do anything for you, Lev.” He trails off, placing his lips on my chin. What if he’s the one who’s making sick jokes by writing those horrendous stuff on the walls? No, it can’t be him. He doesn’t even know what happened.

“Anything for me?” I arch an eyebrow at him, as his teeth graze my jaw.

“Yes. Name it.” His voice was a deep, husky whisper, that sent shivers down my spine. What has even gotten into me? He’s placed a cobweb and I'm just jumping on it?

“Leave me the fuck alone, then.” I hiss, making him look at me with disdain. I unwrap him from me, as I storm out of the bathroom stall. After a few minutes, I'm in the football field again, when I spot Colin. He averts his gaze towards the ground, when his eyes locate me in the crowd. I clap my hands together, gaining the team’s attention.

“Practise is called off for today. Tomorrow we meet again. And Colin, stay.” My voice is commanding and full of authority. The team nods, as I dismiss them and everyone else leaves except Lucifer and Colin.

I take quick steps, as I walk towards Colin who doesn’t even look at me. “Listen, you’re free to fuck my brother whenever you want, but if your pleasures make us lose the football match, you wouldn’t even dare to imagine what would I do to you. Tell me, have you ever been skinned alive?” His eyebrows shoot up in fear, as he looks at me, aghast.

Lucifer opens his mouth, but words fail him and he closes his mouth quickly again. “Do you understand!?” I shout, making Colin flinch. I know I'm traumatizing him, but that’s what the kid exactly needs. I have no empathy.

“Yes, captain.” He mumbles, his legs trembling as he still refuses to look up at me. “Go.” I announce, as he grabs his shoes and makes a run for it.

“Luc, somebody knows…” I mumble, as I watch his expression changing from confusion, to clear horror.

“That can’t be! Nobody saw us, Lev! It was just an accident! Fuck! The men are dead, Levy! How…” He trails off, absolutely exasperated as I place my hand on his shoulder. Steadily, I explain whatever I saw in the bathroom.

“Maybe, somebody who’s related to the men saw us. And now, he hungers for revenge.” I look at him intently, but he’s just flabbergasted. I know, it’s too much for us to handle.

“Do you think that whoever the guy is, murdered Tracy?” He asks, tears brimming his eyes. I take a deep sigh, as I glance at him, not quite understanding what to say. How do I comfort him, when I myself feel so scared?

“Maybe. I don’t know, yet.” I sit down on the field, hands knotted in my lap.

“None of us are going to survive this year.” He warily states, flopping down to sit next to me.

“I'm not going to let anything happen to you. Trust me, Luc.” I reply, grabbing his neck so that I could hug him tight. He nods at me, as he gingerly hugs me, burying his face in the crook of my neck.
