Eva is holding our daughter in her arms as she approaches me. I can’t help but smile. Emmy explained everything to me, and why she did what she did. I was upset at first because I wanted to be there for her, but I know the war complicated everything. I take Ariane from Eva. Eva smiles at me as she walks away.
Ariane has her mom's dark hair but my eyes. She’s the perfect combination of Emmy and I. Emmy is standing next to me looking radiant. I only get to hold Ari for a few minutes before Gemma wants to hold her granddaughter. Ari gets passed around to everyone. Everyone congratulates Emmy and me.
Today is special for many reasons. One Ariane is finally home with her parents and the rest of her family, but the other reason today is special is Emmy and I are getting married along with Bexton and Avery. We are having an evening wedding which will start in a few hours. Right now, we are all showering Ariane with love and attention.
The moment has come for Emmy and Avery to walk down the aisle. Bexton and I are nervous as hell. Ryan is Bex’s best man and Calder is mine. Brie is Avery’s maid of honor and Alice is Emmy’s maid of honor. Alice and Brie have already walked down the aisle. The girls decided to have the wedding in the gardens of the manor.
Avery walks down the aisle first with Jason walking her down the aisle. Avery’s parents are dead, and the rest of her family she doesn’t talk to for good reasons. Jason offered to do the honors. Avery is in a knee length white dress with a pale-yellow belt that matches heels. Her bouquet is all pale-yellow roses. She looks pretty with her hair in a French braid and a crown made of small white flowers. Jason leaves her standing next to Bexton, he hugs both of them, and then takes a seat next to Kenzie.
Now it’s Emmy’s turn. Emmy appears with Travis by her side. Emmy is in a long lace A-line gown. Her hair is down and wavy with the same crown as Avery on her head. She is holding a bouquet of red roses. Emmy is soon by my side. Travis, like Jason, hugs us both before taking his seat next to Gemma.
Vivian is the one marrying both couples, it’s her right as the leader of the coven which both Emmy and Bex belong to. Every couple that gets married in the coven must be married by its leader. It’s an ancient rule that everyone takes seriously. Vivian is wearing a floor length silver dress that is made from a shiny material, her hair is pulled back in a complicated braid pattern. Luna and Shaggy are the ring bearers, so they are standing on either side of Vivian.
The ceremony isn’t very long and I’m happy when Vivian gets to the part where they couples say I do. Before I know it, I’m kissing my wife. I can’t believe I’m saying that. Everyone cheers both couples on as we walk down the aisle. They blow bubbles as we retreat to go take pictures.
Today is the best day of my life. I don’t think there is much else that can top today besides the day Ari was born. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I can’t believe today is really happening. I’m a bit sad only because Evan wasn’t here, I know he was here in spirit cheering me on, and also shaking his head that I was making the biggest mistake of my life, but he would have been really happy for me. Today is one of the best days of my life.
Avery.
After pictures are said and done it’s time for the reception. It’s outside in the other part of the gardens. There’s a dance floor, tables, chairs, and a huge tent over it all. Lanterns float around the tent giving us light while white Christmas lights line the ceiling of the tent. It’s a very romantic setting, which is what Emmy and I were aiming for.
Each couple has their first dance, and then the dance floor is open to everyone. We didn’t do a sit-down dinner, instead we did tons of appetizers, a pasta bar, a baked potato bar, and different salads with bread. There’s a giant three tier cake with red and yellow roses on it. The top of the cake has two couples on it that look like us. There are also other sweet treats served with the cake.
The night is so much fun. There’s drinks wine, beer, and champagne that flow throughout the night. Everyone is having so much fun. The reception goes well past midnight, but finally we all start to retire to our rooms.
The next morning Bexton and I leave for our honeymoon to the Florida Keys. When we come back, we will move into our house which is in the suburbs of New York. Bex is taking a job with the Reapers working as the main Librarian. Bex is so happy to have a job where he is surrounded by books all day. He will help the Reapers with research and other things. I will be working with the Warriors in the healing department till our little one is born. We plan on telling everyone when we get back from our honeymoon.
There’s so much to look forward to. I’m so excited to start my life with Bex. We both can’t wait to meet Cade, our son. I’m only a few months pregnant, but we know it’s a boy because I’m human and Bex is a warlock meaning he can only have boys. It doesn’t matter to me, I’m happy.
Calder.
Kyndle and I are packing up our SUV for the road. We are headed out west to start exploring the world. We are going to start off in the US and then head to Europe, Asia, and probably Africa as well. We are going to take about a year to travel and explore the world before I have to come back and start learning the ropes of how to be the commander of the Reapers.
Kyndle and I have spent most of our lives in captivity. We want to explore the world before we settle down. I already know we are going to get married and have kids, but before all that we want to enjoy life.
Now that the war is over, and the Enchantress is gone, which I sometimes still can’t believe, we are finally free to do what we want. We are free to do what we want. No more prophecy hanging over our heads. We can do whatever we want.
We say goodbye to our family and friends, and then we are in the car ready to start our adventure. I’m excited to finally do something normal. I can’t wait to live a regular life, well as regular as it can be.
“Let’s do this,” Kyndle declares with excitement.
“Yes, let's,” I agree as I start the engine.
We wave goodbye to everyone as we pull out of the driveway. Everyone is in the distance and then they are gone. It’s just Kyndle, me, and the road. The freedom feels amazing. I can’t wait to go exploring with my soulmate and the love of my life. For once the future is looking up.
Alice.
Ivy and I have moved into our apartment in NYC. Ivy is going to keep working with the Warriors, but she is going to stay local, no more missions for her. I on the other hand took a job with the Reapers to be a trainer for hand-to-hand combat. I don’t have to start for a few more weeks so Ivy and I are going to go on a vacation to Las Vegas where we plan to elope.
We don’t want a big wedding. We want it to just be us. I know Ivy is still mourning the loss of her sister. She really needs the vacation, and me well I need one too but for different reasons. I just spent over a year saving the damn world. I deserve a little r&r.
I’m sitting next to Ivy on our sand-colored couch. I let Ivy do all the decorating since she said my style was too gothic. I do have my own office which is in my own style. We are eating take out while we watch TV. We are simple, and very easy to please.
I’m happy and that’s all I can ask for. Maybe there are kids in the future for us. We’ve talked about adopting. Who knows what the future holds?
Ryan.
I’m unpacking shit with Brie. We have moved to NYC, and our neighbors with Ivy and Alice. Brie and I both will be taking jobs with the Reapers. Brie is going to be working in their healing wing while I’ll be doing weapons training. I’m excited for my job. I get to do what I love.
Brie wraps her arms around my waist. She kisses me on the lips. I can’t believe I’m with her. I would have never thought I’d settle down with someone. I didn’t even think I’d want to be Brie when I first met her. I just saw her as a pretty face, and now I’m living with her. Hell, I know I’m going to marry her which is why I have a ring in my back pocket right now. I can’t believe I’m about to do this. If I told younger me that I was about to put a ring on a girl’s finger I would have called myself a dumbass and laughed in my own face.
I let go of Brie, and I get down on one knee. Brie immediately slaps a hand over her mouth. I can see her turning red. She’s so cute when she’s blushing. Well here goes nothing.
“Brie I’m not one for words so this isn’t going to be romantic like Carter and Bex, and for that I’m sorry, but I love you. Will you marry me?”
“Of course, you idiot!”
I slip the ring on Brie’s finger, and we kiss. We spent the rest of the night talking about our wedding. We both decide to put it off for a bit, we aren’t in a hurry. We want to get our careers started and established, so maybe in the next year or so we will get married. I’m so glad we are on the same page. I was worried Brie would want to get married today.
Both of us are happy and content. I’m glad the war is over, even though I like fighting, but now I get to do that with my job, and the best part is that I’ll probably get to work with Alice here and there since she is doing hand on hand combat. Alice and I don’t always get along, but we work well together, go figure. Either way life is looking good, I’m content which is all I want.
Kenzie.
Now that the kids are all settled Jason and I finally get some time to ourselves. We’ve spent the last few weeks moving both kids and their partners into their new homes. Jason and I are back at our house. With the war over there is no reason for us to stay at the manor. I’m happy to be home in my own bed.
Jason and I have decided to open a tea shop in the Magical Corner. There’s an open space, and they don’t have a tea shop, plus witches and warlocks love their tea, it's perfect. Jason can use his cooking skills to come up with some cool blends of tea, plus we are going to sell tea biscuits, biscotti, and other little treats.
We are both excited to do this. We both needed something new, and this is it. Tomorrow we start redoing the shops space so we can make it what we want. It should only take a week or so to fix the place up. By the end of the month, we should be in business. I’m so excited to go on a new adventure with my husband.
I’m also glad life is back to normal. No more war to worry about. I know my kids are safe and set up in their own lives. Now it’s just Jason and me. I will miss the kids not being at home, but I know they had to grow up at some point, plus I can always visit them. I’m just excited for a new chapter in my life.
Gemma.
I’m sitting on the beach with Travis. We finally went on our way overdue honeymoon. The kids are all doing their own thing, so Travis and I are going on an extended honeymoon. First stop the beach, then we are going over to Europe for a bit, then going on a camping trip.
When our honeymoon is done, we are going to go back and fix up the cabin. After that I’m not sure what we will do. It will be nice to not have much going on. Travis and I have both had a rough road, we need the break.
I know we will be visiting the kids. I know Kenzie and I will be spending time together, and I might even help her run her tea shop. I’m looking forward to having things be slow, steady, and easy for once.
I’m still recovering, and probably will be for some a while. The Enchantress possession did a number on my body. Every day I get stronger. I don’t know if I will ever go back to my full strength, or I will ever be as powerful as I was, but it doesn’t matter. I’m free, my family is safe, and I’m happy. That’s all that matters to me.
Emmy.
Ariane is a happy baby. She lights up my world. I’m tired and worn out from the late nights, but it’s all worth it to me. Carter and I have been enjoying married life and raising our little girl. We are permanently living at the manor since I will be taking over as leader. I’ve been shadowing my grandmother every day, I’ve been immersed in the coven’s history, I got to meetings, parties, and other social events.
Now that war is over the coven is planning on having a ball like the one, I attended when I joined the coven. Carter is keeping himself busy. He is the weapons master of the manor and coven. He loves working with all the different weapons. In between shadowing I spend the rest of my time with Ari and Carter.
We love taking Ariane for walks and picnics. Luna is basically Ariane’s nanny when I’m not around. Luna is extremely protective of Ariane. I’m glad that Luna has accepted Ariane, I was afraid Lune would get jealous, but thankfully she isn’t.
Life is slowly coming together. I’m still adjusting from the war. It took a lot out of me mentally, physically, and emotionally. I’m ready for things to be easy going. It’s not to have to stress out about the fate of the world anymore. The world is safe, we are all safe. Everyone is living their lives how they want.
I can say I’m truly happy. I have everything I wanted. My family is back together, I’ve married Carter, and we have a beautiful little girl. I'm doing something meaningful with my life, and everyone is safe and happy. It was a long bumpy road, but I made it. I’m a better person for it. My struggle wasn’t in vain. I’m looking forward to the future because the future looks bright.
