It’s been several weeks. Carter is finally all healed, and back in action. It’s been intense the last several weeks. With Kyndle making herself known to Calder, to Emmy being captured and then rescued, Emmy being pregnant, Carter getting hurt, and to top it all off we are all gearing up for the final battle.
Emmy has been shadowing Vivian as much as she can. She still trains, but she gets tired quickly. My daughter is stubborn and will never admit that she gets tired easily now. Emmy is much like her mother, they both like to pretend that pregnancy didn’t affect them, when in reality they were suffering. Gemma always tried to hide her morning sickness when she was pregnant. Emmy is much the same way when it comes to her fatigue.
Calder has only met with Griffin a few times. It’s hard for Calder to do much of anything with his training to be the next commander of the Reapers. With Emmy being out of commission half the time, Calder has taken over many of her responsibilities. Ryan has been great with helping Calder. Ryan is a natural leader and is very good at working under Calder. Calder is acting more like first in command to take stress off of Emmy, so Ryan is acting more like second in command so that Calder doesn’t have to do both jobs.
Everyone is preparing for the final battle. We know it will happen within the next several months. So far, we haven’t heard much from my mother. Her latest attempt to get ahead of the war by taking Emmy backfired. Calder and Emmy weakened her, and I don’t think she is bouncing back as quickly because she is possessing a human, and not a powerful witch. I don’t think she planned for that complication. I believe she truly thought she had it perfected, well lucky us that she didn’t perfect it.
Kyndle has been helping make a good dent in the Enchantress’s army. With her fire breathing abilities, the fact that she can fly, and Calder can ride on her back when she is her phoenix form, gives us a great advantage, plus her tears have amazing healing abilities. Brie and Kenzie have been working on a potion with Kyndle’s tears so that in battle we can heal our wounded soldiers faster.
Mr. Smarty Pants, Bexton, has been filling his head with tons of knowledge about everything and anything we might need to know. At first, I thought it was pointless, but his information has come in handy. Almost everyone goes to Bex for information, and I’m pretty sure he loves it.
We’ve all been trying to make sure Emmy is resting, and not training too hard so that she can save her energy for when she has to fight the Enchantress, but we all agreed not to tell Emmy that. Emmy doesn’t want to take it easy. She thinks she has to do everything, another trait she gets from her mother. Vivian has been great with keeping Emmy busy with things that have to deal with the Coven.
Eva and Thanos have stopped by to check on Emmy and the baby. Eva says the baby is healthy and growing. Eva is great with making sure Emmy has everything she might need. Eva also reports that Emmy is in good health. Thanos more or less comes to see the baby, Ari is his soulmate, and he is already protective over her. Ariane is one protected little girl, and she isn’t even born yet.
Gemma has been helping Emmy a lot. I’m glad to see that Gemma and Emmy are bonding over the pregnancy. Gemma is ready to be a grandma, and me well I guess I don’t have a choice. I am happy for Carter and Emmy. They love each other very much, and Carter is a great soulmate for my little girl. I like Carter a lot, he’s a good man, and I know he will be a good father.
I’m glad to be back in action with Jason. We make a good team, and we have started to get along, even if there are still times we can’t stand each other. We are partners when it comes to dealing with cleaning up the mess the Enchantress’s army leaves behind. I took some time off when Emmy found out she was pregnant, then she had been kidnapped, and everything with Calder finding out about Kyndle, I’ve had to take some time to deal with my family drama. Now that things have settled, I’m back on the field.
Once this damn war is over, I want to take Gemma, and finally live in my damn cabin with her, and just enjoy each other's company. We’ve been separated for so long, only to be reunited and have a damn war. I’m ready for some peace and damn quiet. I want to take my wife, and just take time for us. I want to wine and dine my wife, take her on dates to the beach, do day trips, go into the city, or take Gemma to a winery, or a bed and breakfast. I want to do all the mushy shit that I never really got to do with Gemma. It’s been one thing after another.
I think everyone is ready to be done with this war. We all want to move on. Emmy and Carter want to raise their daughter. I know Carter is planning on proposing soon, so I’m sure there will be a wedding in the near future. I know the rest of the team also want to get on with their lives. Calder and Kyndle want to explore, and possibly travel, or really do anything they want. They both have been prisoners for most of their lives, they just want to be free, I can’t blame them. Jason and Kenzie want to start a tea shop together. Everyone is making plans for the future, but we can’t do anything till this forsaken war is over with.
