Chapter 198 Vivian Did Not Die

Chapter 198 Vivian Did Not Die

"You hurt my lover, and now you're telling me to stay away from you? Emily, are you out of your mind?"

Samuel was almost laughing from anger. He strode forward, kicked Emily aside, pulled Nora tightly into his arms, and gently kissed her forehead.

"Nora? I'm sorry I'm late. Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"Samuel..."

Nora stared at Samuel blankly. All the grievances and anger that had been building up inside her suddenly burst out uncontrollably.

"Samuel, your father and Emily kidnapped Nicholas and Mia. They made me trade Reginald for them. I agreed to the deal, but your father broke his promise."

"He killed Vivian and hurt Nicholas and Mia! I want revenge! Samuel, I'm going to kill your father and Emily!"

Sebastian killed Vivian?

How was that possible?

Samuel froze, instinctively raising his eyes to look at Emily, who was lying on the ground unable to move after being shot.

"Why are you looking at me? Even if you stare a hole through me, Vivian won't come back to life."

Meeting Samuel's gaze, Emily shrank back unconsciously, but after a moment, she adjusted herself and broke into a crazy smile.

"Haha... I'm already in your hands. No surprises here—I'm dead for sure this time."

"Since that's the case, I won't hide it from you anymore. Samuel, let me tell you the truth! From the very beginning, your father never planned to let any of those four people—Nora, Vivian, Nicholas, and Mia—survive."

"Our plan was to first use Nora to rescue Reginald, then kill Nora and the others."

"Nora and Vivian are the bottom line for you and Matthew. If they both died, and Vivian's death was connected to Nora, you and Matthew would definitely turn on each other."

"Once you and Matthew started fighting, your father and I could take advantage of the situation!"

Using Vivian's life to drive a wedge between him and Matthew? Sebastian's plan was truly vicious.

Samuel narrowed his eyes and couldn't help but give Emily a mocking smile.

"Miss Johnson, your plan with my father was perfect. Unfortunately, you forgot one very important thing. Matthew and I would never just stand by and watch the women we love fall into danger."

"What?"

As soon as he said this, not only Emily but even the exhausted Nora widened her eyes and looked at his face.

"Vivian is fine."

Samuel pinched Nora's earlobe and looked into her eyes, telling her word by word.

"Actually, when you arranged to meet Sebastian through the butler, Matthew and I already knew you were hiding something from us. But to avoid alerting Sebastian and putting Nicholas and Mia in danger, Matthew and I didn't expose you and Vivian."

"Vivian was able to successfully rescue Reginald today because Matthew was covering for her."

"Also, when Vivian went to meet Sebastian, Matthew was secretly protecting her the whole time. So Sebastian didn't succeed in killing Vivian."

"Right now, Sebastian, Reginald, and Vivian are all with Matthew."

He and Matthew had known all along that she made a deal with Sebastian?

Samuel's words revealed too much information. Nora bit her lower lip and took a long time to barely recover.

"If Vivian is fine, then why didn't she answer when I called her?"

She grabbed Samuel's sleeve, looking at him with red eyes.

"Vivian's bodyguards got into a gunfight with that old bastard Sebastian's men. During the fight, Vivian's phone got smashed."

Samuel knew that if he didn't provide evidence, Nora wouldn't fully believe him.

He sighed softly, and after saying this, he took out his phone and called Matthew.

"Samuel, why are you contacting me at this time?"

"Is that Samuel? Quick, Matthew, give me your phone. I need to ask him something."

"Don't move around. The doctor said you were frightened today and need to rest in bed."

"My best friend is missing—how can I rest?"

The phone was answered after just two rings, and the next moment, Matthew and Vivian's voices came through Samuel's phone.

Vivian's shouting was full of energy—she probably wasn't hurt.

Nora secretly breathed a sigh of relief, quickly took Samuel's phone, and said hoarsely into it.

"Vivian, don't worry about me. I'm fine! Samuel found me successfully. He also rescued Nicholas and Mia. I'll come find you in a bit."

"Nora? Oh... honey, it's so good to hear your voice again. Oh, right, since you're safe now, come to Carter Manor and find me quickly."

After hearing Nora's voice, there was silence on the other end for a moment, then Vivian's crying voice came through.

"Matthew is a psycho. He says I deceived him for your sake, and now he's angry and wants to lock me up."

"Shut up. You don't need to complain to Nora. I'm not afraid of her—she can't save you."

Facing Vivian's accusation, Matthew's tone was full of affection and helplessness.

"Alright, you two stop fighting. Nora and I still have things to deal with. We don't have the energy to mediate your conflicts."

Samuel was both amused and exasperated by Matthew and Vivian. After scolding them a bit, he hung up and turned his attention back to Nora's face.

"Nora, can you relax now?"

"Vivian's not dead? How is that possible? I planned this for so long—how did I not manage to kill anyone? No, I don't accept this result!"

As soon as he finished speaking, before Nora could respond, Emily started screaming loudly, clutching her head as if she'd received a huge shock.

Unfortunately, neither Samuel nor Nora paid any attention to her anger.

"Since Vivian is fine, I can allow your father and Emily to live a bit longer."

Nora rubbed her temples and, with Samuel's support, got up from the ground.

"Samuel, Nicholas and Mia are injured. Let's send them to the hospital first. We can deal with your father and Emily slowly after they're out of danger."

"Okay."

Samuel held her waist, nodding at her while gesturing to Kevin standing at the door.

Seeing this, Kevin immediately had the Green family's bodyguards arrest Emily's men, then called for an ambulance to take Nicholas and Mia to the hospital.
