Chapter 66: Chapter Sixty-Six

Olivia

If I didn't know him so well, I'd have thought he isn't affected by me at all. But I do know him. His face is hard, like this is just another day at the office. But I can see directly through him. I see the joy behind his eyes, the love and compassion and lust. Pure unadulterated lust. Oh and his hands are hiding his bulge, from the way he's standing with his hands infront of him, you'd think it's normal stance.

I can't concentrate fully on him though because my brother is speaking, trying to make me laugh. Toby is the one walking me down the isle. Representing the father I never knew. Honestly I could have walked myself down the isle, it would have been much faster. But my brother insisted and now I know why.

" It's not too late, you can still ditch him. Think about it sis. We have a car waiting out but among the three of us, he won't touch you. Just say the word. What did you see in him anyway. I could have found you someone more handsome than this bloke." The whole way to the alter, Toby had been talking like that and I wanted to laugh.

He was speaking so low, I know nobody heard him but me and I know nobody could read his lips because he was speaking through his teeth. But I know that without the veil covering me, people could see that I wanted to laugh. I couldn't keep a straight face. That is until I stopped infront of Jason.

'How can a man be this handsome and sexy ?' that was my thought when I was being handed over.

"You look stunning." Jason whispers to me and I blush like a school girl.

"Dearly beloved, we're gathered here to witness the coming together of Olivia Willow and Jason Osbourne..." The priest goes on speaking but I'm not much listening to him. I'm gazing into the eyes of a man who's name I'm about to call mine. A man I love with. Everything I am and I'm not afraid to say it.

And then the ring part of the ceremony comes together with the vows. Wed chosen to speak our own vows, I didn't prepare anything because I wanted to speak from the heart.

"If I say anything infront of all these people, your family especially, they're going to want to take you away from me and I don't want that." He says and everyone laughs. "I love you, from the moment I laid eyes on you and waited for you to fall into my hands I've loved you. You're everything to me. Every vow that men have taken to their wives, to take care of them, be loyal and protect them, I take. I told you before that if I were a better man I wouldn't be with you, but it's that very reason that makes me good for you. You don't need a better man baby, you need me." He finishes up with a smile. Every one is laughing at the last part of his words though they don't know how true they are.

"You drive me crazy. You're controlling, overprotective, overloving but I love that about you. You're the best and worst thing to happen to me. The best because you have given me something I never knew I needed. The worst because I wouldn't survive without you. You're everything I could have asked for in a man. I'm taking your name today with pride. I will raise it and make it known for as long as I live. Thank you." I finish.

I didn't say everything I wanted to say though, because like he said, it would get us in trouble.

We exchange rings and the priest pronounces us as man and wife. The cheers that go up at that are wild. It makes me happy that people are happy for us. And any day I would also celebrate but I need the toilet or else I'm peeing on my wedding dress.

"Jason, toilet." I say to him and he takes my hand, excusing us from everyone. My mother follows us, holding my other hand and they both help me to the house.

I seem to be peeing more these days than necessary and it's really just irritating. My bladder can't hold water for too long. After I do my business in the toilet, with my mother in the toilet and Jason standing outside the door, she helps me fix the dress again.

"I'm proud of you. You've made me a very proud mother. I love you baby." She says after fixing me up. When we walk out, my perfect husband is holding a plate of appetizers and he immediately hands it to me. My mother looks happy at that exchange. "Take care of my girl Jason." She says and leaves us, going back to the tent.

Jason kisses my temple and whispers in my ear that he can't wait to bed me tonight and I laugh. I was right, he is horny. As we walk towards the entrance of the house, his mother appears and I lose my appetite. I knew she had come to the wedding, I just was not ready to face her is all.

"You're a beautiful bride Mrs Osbourne." She addresses me. She looks sincere but I doubt she is. She hasn't given me anything to think that she can be sincere where I am concerned.

"Thank you." I say with a blank face. Jason is holding me protectively away from her.

"My wife needs to go sit down mother. Say what you want to say." Jason says after me.

His mother's face goes ashen like she's been burnt and she turns and looks at him, I don't know what she sees in his eyes as she quickly turns back to me.

"I'm sorry I've been unwelcoming to you. It was rude and uncalled for. If you give me a chance, I promise to do better. You are my daughter in law after all. Congratulations on your nuptials." She says and turns her back and walks back to where she came from.

I'm surprised honestly, and I wonder to myself what Jason said to her. When I turn to look at him though, he looks just as surprised. Maybe she did have a change of heart. I'm a bit happy about that though. It makes me less worried about the future.

When we walk back into the tent, everyone stands up and claps for us. I feel embarassed though, because of the plate on my hand. Desiree grins at me when we come sit at the front of the tent and I finally get a view of the whole tent.

If I had money of my own, I would give the planner a bonus on her work. She has done an amazing job. Everything came together just as I had hoped.
