Chapter 18: Secrets between mates
*SAVIOR'S POV*
"Answer me," I continued to whisper.
Thalia tried to resist, but I held her in place. "I want you, mate, why do you reject me?"
"I am only following your orders, sire," she stuttered.
I planted another kiss on the nape of her neck. "Call me, mate."
"Janio, please." Thalia trembled from my touch.
I paused momentarily, stunned by the fact that she knew my lycan wolf's name. Not a handful of people in my kingdom know his name; it was not something I shared with people who weren't close to me.
I tilted my head to meet her eyes that were avoiding mine. "How do you know my wolf's name?"
Thalia blinked, her eyes a mix of surprise and realization. "We... We are mates; I have known since our wolves started to commune."
My brows furrowed slightly. "Since when did our wolves start to commune?"
"Over a year now," Thalia revealed.
The revelation was news to me because Janio and I agreed to keep the knowledge of Thalia being our mate to ourselves, but behind my back, that sly lycan wolf had been communicating with Thalia's wolf. I didn't even know the name of Thalia's wolf; I didn't even know she had a relationship with her wolf.
"I had no knowledge of their meeting," I confessed, hoping to jolt Thalia's understanding.
"So it is truly you in control, sire..." Thalia again tried to escape, but she was locked permanently in my cage for now.
"Now that you know, I hope you will stop fighting against me," I whispered.
Thalia shut her eyes, biting on her lower lip, lost in the heat of the moment, but the wicked girl had to spoil the mood again.
"Are you drunk, sire?" She asked, much to my annoyance.
I spanked her soft butt cheek, earning a yelp from her. "I said you should call me, mate or do you prefer... Savior?"
Thalia gasped, shaking her head. "I would never."
I held her head in place and looked deeply into her eyes. "Say it."
"No, I would never," she resisted.
"Say it."
"Savior~"
I groaned, feeling blood rush to my loins. The sound of my name from her mouth almost made my eyes roll to the back of my head.
"Again," I ordered.
"Savior."
"Louder!"
"My Savior!" Thalia screamed, panting.
A smile formed on my lips. A simple play had succeeded in drawing out my pre-cum. Curse the mate bond for making me this vulnerable.
"You will be screaming that all night," I told Thalia with a smirk.
She looked away, smiling sheepishly. "Please, be gentle; I am still a bit sore from the last time."
"Trust me, moonrose, you will enjoy it," I assured her.
We were busy all night long, and even when Thalia begged for rest, I refused because I knew she could take it. The night of passion was long and satisfying, but in the morning, my thirst had been extinguished.
"Wake up." I roughly tapped Thalia's shoulder.
She turned but continued sleeping, which only heightened my annoyance. "Bloody wake up, slave," I yelled, and it was finally enough to bring her back to the land of the living. "Leave."
"Savior, can I sleep a little longer?" Thalia asked, rubbing her eyes.
My voice turned bone-chillingly cold. "What did you just call me?"
Thalia recoiled, bowing her head. "Forgive me... Sire," she said with a bitter taste in her mouth.
"Leave; you are taking up space and irritating me with your body stench," I told her harshly.
Thalia's lips trembled, tears welling in her eyes. "Apologies; I will leave now."
She climbed out of the bed and attempted to stand, but her legs were still shaking. She was, however, prideful; she ignored the weakness in her limbs and wore the dress I gifted her.
I threw a robe at her. "Put that on; I don't want you irritating others with your nakedness."
"Understood, sire." Thalia kept her head low, tears falling like rain as she wore the robe.
She wobbled to the door but didn't ask for help, especially since she knew I wouldn't lend it to her.
"Do not speak a word of this to another soul," I warned her.
"I won't." With that, Thalia, shut the door.
I looked heavenward, my heart protesting against me. It knew the truth; Thalia was affecting my thinking.
Her morning scent was intoxicating, yet I wanted nothing to do with her. My hatred for her kind had not ended, and I was sure it would never. It would only keep building up. Until I was certain that there was not a single one of them left on this earth, Thalia included...
For the rest of the day, I busied myself with my duties. I had to host a ball later in the evening because of the victory of Delta, who had come back successful from a war with a huge werewolf pack that was one of our many rivals.
The pack was well-rounded with natural resources that could be useful to the kingdom. Some of which could be traded to wealthy and influential supernaturals and even humans.
I knew it would be impossible to avoid seeing Thalia since she was my food taster, but she made it very easy as she avoided my eyes during her tasting.
As she was about to leave, my Delta, Leo, grabbed her hand. He pulled her to himself and sniffed her scent. "My king, can I have this one tonight? I love her scent and body."
My wolf growled on the inside, fighting to gain control so he could rip Leo apart, but I held him back. Doing something so out of character would raise suspicions.
"Be our guest, Sir Leo, I am sure the king doesn't care about that slave," Janette spoke for me, a twisted grin on her unattractive face. "She is broken; I am surprised you even want that one."
"Well, my queen, I love to fix broken toys," Leo returned her grin, running his hand all over Thalia's body.
My blood boiled, my vision turning blood red; they were going to pay for this, both of them.
