Chapter 155: Chapter 156

Just some minutes after Amelia left the hospital to go and pick up Erica, two policemen walked into the hospital, and with that, they went directly to the two receptionists who were still discussing with each other.

On seeing the two police officers, Daria and Becky furrowed their brows in surprise as they wondered what the two police officers were looking for in a hospital.

"Hi, good morning. How can we help you, please?" Becky asked the police officers as they got closer.

"Yes, good morning, we are looking for Dr Tony Edwards. I hope he works here?" One of the police officers asked Becky and Daria.

Yes, he works here. Hope there is no problem?" Becky asked the police officer.

"No, not yet, we just want to ask him some questions," one of the police officers said to Becky, who nodded in reply before taking her phone and placing a call to Tony, who picked up after some minutes of ringing.

"Hello Becky, "How are you doing?" Tony asked Becky after picking up the call.

"I'm doing good, sir. Actually, there are some people at the reception area looking for you," Becky said to Tony through the phone.

"And who are these people?" Tony asked Becky through the phone.

"Well, I think you need to come and see them yourself," Becky said to Tony through the phone.

"Okay, I will be there in a minute," Tony said to Becky before hanging up.

"He's already on his way," Becky said to the two police officers, who nodded in reply, and just some minutes later, Tony came out only to see two police officers waiting at the reception area.

"Good afternoon, sir. You are Dr Tony Edwards, right?" One of the police officers asked Tony as he came out.

"Yes, I'm Tony, and how can I help you guys?" Tony asked the police officers.

"Well, we want you to follow us to the police station for some questioning. There were some men that we caught causing problems in the city, and they said that you are their boss," one of the police officers said to Tony.

"What? Are you sure that it was my name that they called?" Tony asked the police.

"Yes, it was your name. They were also the ones that gave us the address of the place you work. You don't have to worry; if we get to the police station and the men say that it's not you that they were talking about, we will bring you back," the police officer said to Tony.

"Okay then, let's go," Tony said to the police officers as he followed them and walked out of the hospital.

Once the police officers left with Tony, Becky took her phone and placed a call to Adrian, who picked up after some minutes of ringing.

"Hello Becky, what can I help you with?" Adrian asked her after picking up the call.

"Actually, sir, I wanted to inform you that Dr Tony just got arrested by some police officers," Becky said to Adrian through the phone.

"What? And what did they say that he did?" Adrian asked Becky while feigning to be surprised.

"Well, they said that some men that were causing trouble in the city claimed that he was their boss, so they took him to the police station to confirm if what the men said is true or not," Becky said to Adrian.

"Well, that's not a problem then; as long as he is innocent, they will surely bring him back," Adrian said to Becky.

"Okay, sir," Becky said to Adrian before hanging up.

Meanwhile in Adrian's office, after Becky hung up the call, he smiled inwardly before leaning back on his chair, and at the same time, he remembered that he hadn't even discussed with Amelia since when he arrived.

Taking his phone, Adrian was about to place a call across to Amelia to ask her how she was doing, but suddenly an incoming call from Erica popped up on his phone, and without hesitating, he picked up the call.

"Hello Erica, "How are you doing?" Adrian asked her after picking up the call.

"I'm doing good, your highness. What about you?" Erica asked Adrian.

"I'm doing good too, by the way. Thank you for informing me about the call between Amelia and Mara yesterday; I really appreciate it," Adrian said to Erica.

"Don't mention it, your highness. Amelia is my friend, so I did what I had to do to protect her. By the way, is she at the hospital right now?" Erica asked Adrian through the phone.

"Well, I think so; I saw her earlier this morning at the hospital," Adrian said to Erica through the phone.

"And have you seen her again after that?" Erica asked Adrian.

"No, but I think that she's in her office or attending to a patient," Adrian said to Erica through the phone.

"Are you sure about that?" Erica asked Adrian, who immediately sensed that something was off.

"No, I'm not sure, but is there any problem?" Adrian asked Erica.

"Well, I think there is; please go and check if she's in her office or attending to a patient," Erica said to Adrian, who immediately stood up and rushed out of his office and started making his way to Amelia's office.

Getting to her office, he was about to place a knock when he noticed that it was locked from outside, meaning that she wasn't inside.

"Erica, I just checked her office, and she's not inside. What problem did you say that there is, by the way?" Adrian asked Erica with an inquisitive tone while heading towards the reception area to ask the receptionist if they have seen her or whether she has an appointment with a patient.

"Well, I was supposed to come and visit her today and keep her company for some weeks, and on getting here, she told me to call her so that she could pick me up, and that's exactly what I did, and she told me to wait for her and that she would come and pick me up in some minutes. "It's been over an hour since she told me that she's already on her way, and I haven't seen her yet, and also her phone isn't going through," Erica said to Adrian with a distressed tone, and with that Adrian sighed heavily, as he wanted to be sure that Amelia really left the hospital in the first place.

"Erica, give me a minute, please," Adrian said to her as he got to the reception area.

"Becky, please, where is Doctor Amelia?" Adrian asked her.

"Well, she left an hour ago; she said she would be back very soon," Becky said to Adrian, who ruffled his hair in frustration.

"Okay, thank you so much," Adrian said to her before turning and walking back to his office.

"Erica "I will call you back, please," Adrian said to her as he walked into his office, and with that, he sat down in front of his computer and quickly tracked down Amelia's location through the tracker he had placed in her car. Getting the location, he immediately sent the signal to his phone before grabbing his car key and walking out of his office.

Getting outside, he went to the parking lot of the hospital and took his car and drove off while following the signal on his phone.

After driving for almost twenty minutes, he finally found where Amelia's car was parked on a lonely road, and with that, he got down from his and rushed towards the car only to see that there was no one in the car, and her phone that he had been calling since he left the hospital was also lying in the car.

'They have taken her,' he muttered before grabbing Amelia's phone and walking back to his car, and with it he placed a call to Angelo, who picked up after some minutes of ringing.

"Hello Angelo, is it done already?" Adrian asked him.

"Yes, your highness, it's done already; you will find him at the address you asked me to keep him," Angelo said to Adrian.

"Okay, thank you so much; I will send you the payment right away," Adrian said to him.

"Okay, your highness, I will be expecting it," Angelo said to Adrian, who immediately hung up the call before tossing the phone towards the passenger seat.

"Time to go and get some truth out of if that son of a bitch," Adrian muttered befor igniting the car and zooming off.
