Today, Grandma Song is obviously in a heavy mood. She just murmurs, “Is that little Ze?”
“Grandma, it is me.” Xi Ze walks into the room with smiles.
He raises his arm and firmly shakes the jewelry bag in his hand, saying, "I am here to deliver things. Huanhuan has heatstroke today, and she is not herself. When she got off, she left the jewelry in my car that Aunt Song had asked her to pick up."
Almost instantaneously, all the people at present look at Xi Ze, who smiles and puts the jewelry on the tea table.
It is out of Song Shuyao and her mother’s imagination. What’s the matter?
Song Qinghuan appreciates the moments when the mother and daughter change their faces. She shows the white feather sometimes, but they think she is a cowardly lion.
After seeing Xi Ze off, Grandma Song says quietly: “What’s up? The thing is right in Xi Ze’s house. But you firmly believe that Huanhuan stole and sold it.” The old lady looks sharply at Xia Runan. “Is there anything I don’t know?”
“Mom, this is a mistake.” Xia Runan is afraid to be found out, so she dare not look directly into the old lady’s eyes.
At the same time the old lady looks at Song Qinghuan gently and says: “Huanhuan, you are not feeling well, so you would better go upstairs and have a rest.”
“Okay，Grandma.” Song Qinghuan gets up and goes upstairs. When she closes the door, she hears her grandma who planed to ask her to leave criticize the mother and daughter.
“Humm…” Song Qinghuan closes the door and thinks that this is only the start.
On the day of old lady Song’s 69th birthday.
In the previous life, Song Qinghuan was not at Grandma’s 69th birthday party, because she was lying in the hospital.
The business of Song family is real estate. There are resorts and star-rated hotels. Grandma Song's 69th birthday party is held at a five-star hotel of the Song family, at 8 p.m.
Now it is 7:30 p.m.
This time many people attend the party with birthday gifts, most of whom being celebrities in business world.
Song Yueming is greeting to guests with Xia Runan. As the oldest son of Song family, Song Mingxiu also behaves well and is introduced to others by his father Song Yueming in order to expand his networking.
Song Shuyao is in a pink dress, looking like a lady, and obediently stands by Xia Runan to greet guests with a sweet face.
Those who are invited are business partners with Song family. The Banquet Hall is of multi-storey. Song Qinghuan wears a black dress, standing on the corridor outsides the upstairs lounge to look down at the primped crowd.
Today Xi Ze wears a blue casual suit. He holds two glasses of champagne and gives her one, saying with smile: “Does Grandma feel better?”
Song Qinghuan takes it and shakes it with her fingers. “Much better now.”
Being a little under the weather, Grandma Song is having a rest in the lounge. So Song Qinghuan takes the initiative to accompany her. While the rest four members of Song family are greeting guests downstairs.
Song Qinghuan turns the champagne cup with her eyelids lowered. All the families know that she is not born by Xia Runan, but they pretend to live in harmony. Even though the old lady is getting old, her mind is as clear as a mirror. Or she cannot have Xia Runan in control.
In the eyes of outsiders, Song Shuyao is big sister with a heart-shaped face, while Song Qinghuan is younger with an oval face. Apart from the charming appearance, they two bear no similarity.
After the kidnapping and abuse at the age of seven, Song Qinghuan becomes so cowardly and self-confined that she avoids seeing strangers. At the same time, Xia Runan always takes Song Shuyao to attend all kinds of parties, so she gradually fades out of the public sight.
Song Shuyao takes a sip of champagne and looks down at the people downstairs. From today on, everything will be different.
“Why do you go upstairs?” Song Qinghuan says with a smile.
Xi Ze shrugs his shoulders and says: “Because it is so boring.”
Song Qinghuan glances down at random to find the figure of Song Shuyao. At this moment, the people underneath take the opportunity to expand their own loop. With her pupils contracted suddenly, she does not even hear what Xi Ze says.
Song Qinghuan’s eyes are fixed on the man who wears a smile on his face and has a pair of curved eyes, like a bright first quarter moon in the dark sky.
The young man's beautiful and outlined features, perfect face shape, especially the black bright diamond earring on his right ear add an air of freewheeling to his handsomeness. The black suit makes him energetic and matured.
Song brother and sister stand opposite to him. Song Shuyao can hardly walk when she sees him, becoming shy and fixing her eyes on him.
In the previous life, Song Qinghuan did not know him. Then everything about the man was scooped by public media after he and Song Shuyao revealed publicly that they were in love.
It is Xu Ningzhou, who is the prince of Honor Group Co. Ltd.
In the development of Internet applications, services and other technologies, Honor Group has always maintained a leading position in the industry and has won many first prizes in the domestic Internet industry. It is the leader of the whole Internet industry and stays first in the rich list.
Song Shuyao sees this man four years ahead of time. Now Xu Ningzhou is younger and more handsome with impish and unlimited nature, unlike a few years later, calm and indifferent.
When the birthday banquet officially begins, the light in the banquet hall is much dimmer. Song Yueming, as chairman of Song Group, comes to the center stage to address for the party.
Over the age of 40, Song Yueming is healthy and tough. His wording is polite and is spreading to every corner of the Banquet Hall through microphone.
With Song Yueming’s thanks to guests and in the midst of their applause, Song Qinghuan helps the old lady go downstairs. Xia Runan winks to Song Shuyao. Although she is reluctant, Song Shuyao pretends to be well-behaved and goes to help the old lady to the stage.
This is also Song Qinghuan’s coming back to the public vision as the dear daughter of Song family after many years.
The party is merry and festive. The birthday cake is of nine-layer, in the shape of peach. Xia Runan laughs and says that it is made by Song Shuyao who has been learning from pastry chef for several months.
That indicates Song Shuyao’s filial piety to her grandma.
Song Qinghuan has eye contact with Song Shuyao, finding there is uncovered provocation in her eyes. But Song Qinghuan responds to her with a slight smile. Song Shuyao does not know how to make a cup of tea, let alone make cakes by herself.
There is a white piano in the corner of the hall which is prepared by the hotel manager when he decorated it with the order of the old lady.
