Chapter 22
She felt heavy. She wanted to fight back, but she couldn't do anything. What was the strength of someone like her compared to the people around them who were soulless?
Jia heard footsteps coming towards her, so even though it was difficult, she raised her face. Boboy, in front of her. He had a big grin as if he had won a contest and the first prize went to the man.
He grabbed her hair and forced her to sit up. When she sat down, he pulled her hair down behind her, causing her face to rise. She looked at him with disgust.
"Do you know how I feel every time I kill, Miss Jia?"
Jia hated how this criminal uttered her name. Boboy disgusts her a lot. She was angry at the criminals who were really guilty of their crimes, but her disgust for the person in front of her now was on another level. She wanted to vomit at his disgusting smell!
"I'm not a criminal like you, so I'll never know what that feeling is!" she said firmly to the man.
"That's what I like about you, Miss Jia, eh, you're brave. You don't know how to fold even when you're on the brink of death. Don't worry because for that courage of yours, I'll give you a reward that you won't forget even in death." He grinned at her again, so his black and rotting teeth were exposed.
Boboy wasn't the type you would pity when you saw him on the street. He was fat and had a big stomach. He was only thirty years old, but the number of his victims could no longer be counted on his fingers. Women, men, children, old people, and anyone he wanted to kill, he killed. She didn't know why he was called a serial killer when his killings had no pattern. He had a wife before, but she left him because he had a heavy hand. He almost killed his child if he was not immediately taken to the hospital.
"Don't look at me like that, Miss Jia, because I'm getting horny. Maybe you want me to suck my pet?" He grinned again.
"You animal! You coward, Boboy! Fight fairly!" Her veins almost came out because of the shouting she did. She felt nauseous because of the man's rudeness.
Jia held her stomach because she felt that at any moment it would turn upside down.
"Let Brent go, I'm the one who's at fault to you, so I'm the only one you should charge."
Boboy laughed loudly at what she said. He even clapped his hands like a madman. "I thought you already knew me, Miss Jia? Not yet. You know I'm not the type of person who holds a grudge. Yes, you stepped on my balls when you arrested me, but that's not the reason why you and your brother are here now. The truth is, your brother is the only one we came for. You're just really restless, so you're here now in this situation. I know you're stubborn, but I didn't expect you to hear that something bad would happen to your brother."
She looked intently at Boboy. She could see the truth on his face. He was not lying to her.
But what was the reason? What was her brother's sin against these people?
"Do you want to know the truth?" He grinned again. She wanted to get rid of that smirk on his face. "Your brother stepped on someone. A big man. He is a thorn in my boss's throat, so tonight, he needs to die. But don't worry, you won't experience being alone because as my reward for your courage, you will also die right here."
"Boss, Bossing needs you now. Leave these two to your men." Boboy nodded to the man who approached.
"How about that? Just good-bye to you, Miss Jia. Too bad, you won't taste my hotdog." From kneeling in front of her, he stood up. But before he turned his back on her, he tapped her face first. "My men will kill you." He even winked at her.
"You animal! Let my brother go!" she shouted, but it seemed like he didn't hear anything as he continued to leave the warehouse that would serve as the tomb for her and her brother.
She gave her brother one more look before she crawled closer to him. She wanted to hug him even for the last time.
