Chapter 25: Divine Link

My eyes stared back at Kieran, as his eyes and hands roamed all over me.  I unconsciously reached for his cheek, touching the rough stubble that had grown over time.  His shoulder-length hair, which he often put up in a messy ponytail, came loose, letting silvery-white strands of hair fall on his face.

“Kieran…”

His thumb gently felt my lower lip, sending soft pain as soon as he touched the wound from my lip-chewing habit whenever I grew anxious.  His ruby eyes softened.  “Please don’t bite your lip like this again, Your Majesty.  If you want, you can release your frustration on me.”

“This isn’t part of our agreement, Chief,” I warned.  “We vowed mutual trust.  Not… this…”

His lips twitched.  “Then consider this as a complimentary service from me.”

My protests were imprisoned in my lips as soon as he picked me up and carried me, while our lips crashed down on each other.  We pushed and pulled, exchanging bites and nibbles and gasps, like two heavenly bodies pulling each other into their gravitational fields.

It turns out, Kieran wasn’t only capable of pushing my buttons.  He was also capable of making me lose my mind… in a different way.

I felt the hardwood wall slam against my back as he pinned me against it, our lips still intertwined.  And between the thick layers of our clothing and his hands, the cool breeze from the mountains felt…

Torturous.  Unbearable.  Especially when he’s sending me balls of fire to set my entire world ablaze.

His damp clothes fell on the floor, creating a loud thud that could almost raise the dead.  It didn’t even matter to him that someone could just walk past his bedroom and hear these ungodly sounds our lips were making.

But Castiel isn’t here.  No one would even lecture us about proper decorum.

And Kieran… he wasn’t someone to care about appearances.

My lips were almost swollen when he pulled away, catching his breath.  He pulled me closer and wrapped my legs around his waist, carrying me on top of the vanity table in the room.  He placed me on top of it as if I were a fine china doll that could break, and then removed his last remaining clothing.

The dim afternoon light coming from the mountain’s horizon cast its golden light against Kieran’s body, leaving me to marvel at his features.  He chuckled as he gently pushed my lips close and playfully wiped the side of my lips.

“Stop drooling over me, Your Majesty.”

I rolled my eyes and punched his chest.  Then, those punches became clawing on his skin, as his lips began to roam around.

My breath hitched as soon as he knelt in front of me, his kisses now focused on a certain part of my body that once belonged to Augustus alone.  And despite Kieran’s roughness on the battlefield and when handling me today, he treated me as if I were too delicate for his hands.

I clamped my hand over my mouth as I heard someone walk past his door.  His eyes glanced at the door before grabbing my wrists, preventing me from using them.

“Don’t ever dare bite your lip, Hestia,” he growled, “Let them hear you.  Especially that brother of mine.”

Shivers ran down my spine as I felt his tongue and lips play in me once again.  Kieran worked his wonders on me, all while I almost lost my mind thinking about how I could stop myself from letting out these moans.

I almost reached for the heavens when he stopped and stood up.  Kieran wiped the side of his lip before pushing my legs apart.  His eyes glinted with wickedness and pleasure.  He knew I was already weak.  That I…

Maybe accepting his mate bond wasn’t that bad.  Maybe…

My mouth formed an O as he slowly entered me, filling every inch of my being.  My mind blanked for a few seconds too long as soon as he thrusted, each movement deeper and harder than the previous ones.

Kieran chuckled in pain and pleasure when he felt my teeth sink into his shoulder.  His lips planted a soft kiss on my temple before gently combing my hair.  “That’s alright… take out your frustrations on me, my Queen…”

He picked me up, our bodies still intertwined.  The wooden bed creaked as soon as our bodies fell on top of it.  The wood began to protest as he continued to sway his hips, as if announcing that a Queen and her Vassal were fucking while everyone else was busy,

But shame has long left my body.  Especially after Kieran showed me what heaven looked, tasted, and felt like, with just his mere touch.

I gasped as I felt a warm sensation spreading inside me.  He looked down.  His features were washed by blue light, making me turn my attention to what he was looking at.

I gasped in both marvel and awe as I touched the string of light connecting our wrists.  While I had done something similar earlier when I poured my divine magic on him, I didn’t expect that a permanent Divine Link would manifest between us this early.

It was the highest form of connection between a Queen and her Vassal.   They say that the amount of power, loyalty, and devotion needed from both the Queen and her Vassal must amount to an entire three lifetimes to be able to create one.  Most Queen candidates would take years, even decades,  honing one with their Vassal, and some even fail.

When Augustus was still my Vassal, it took us three months just to form one, which took all the effort and bond needed between the two of us.

“A Divine Link,” he commented as he held my hand against his cheek.  “Are you that devoted to me, Your Majesty?”

“As if,” I teased, before meeting his lips once more.  “Honestly, I didn’t expect us to have one this early…”

Kieran pulled away.  He lay beside me, then pulled me into his arms.  He kicked a blanket over our bodies and raised his hand, where the Divine link was intertwined, looking at it through the light.

“I do.”

“What?”

He chuckled.  “What, did I make you go deaf?”  His laughs grew louder when my palm connected with his chest.  “Easy, hotshot…I mean, I am devoted to this cause.  I know you are too.  So don’t overthink it.”

I looked at my hand as well through the light.  “I just… sometimes feel that I don’t have enough power to reclaim my throne… I know I’m capable, but what if Augustus was right?  What if I should just abandon my claim?”

“And what, let them be proven right? Hestia, that was your throne and your crown.  You reclaim it regardless.  I’ll be here to be your sword, forever.”

I stared at Kieran’s eyes.  “Sometimes you give the best advice despite being a jackass, do you even know that?”

He chuckled.  “Well, of course I have to.  After all, if I’m competing against other Lycans for your heart, I need to be at my best, Hestia.”

I froze.  Does Kiieran know that Mother blessed me with four bonds?
