Chapter 72: How will I get over you?
She did as he asked, not wanting to be the victim of his wrath. She had long ago made peace
with herself by convincing her heart that just for one night, her body belonged to him. His to
do as he pleased. He could do whatever he wanted, and she would never object, following
the pact that was signed between them. If it wasn't for Amna, then not even his father would
have been able to touch even as much as a hair on her head. With this thought, she tried to
console herself, as it made her feel she did have the upper hand to some extent.
She made her heart understand; it wasn't being forced on her. She willfully did what she
did. She tried to make herself believe that she wasn't as helpless in the situation as she
thought herself to be.
Also, she had no other option. Time would have run out if she had waited even for more
than a day.
Yet during the night, the Sheharzaad she had locked away would surface in front of him.
And then she would see it in his eyes.
A glint.
Of pure evil.
Of pure satisfaction.
As if he wanted to tame that part of hers, and he accepted it as a challenge.
Gulping the sob down, she lay beneath him with no pajamas and just a shirt on.
Her heart began to thump wildly in her chest as both his hands landed on either side of her
head when he began to remove his grey boxers.
He still couldn't decipher the infatuation within him for her, that too created in such a short
period of time.
"Please," her whisper grabbed his attention entirely as he looked up at her eyes again.
"Please," She didn't want to beseech him, but she had reached the limit, yet again.
"Please what?" he murmured, caressing her cheeks with the back of his fingers, softly.
"Stop. I-I feel s-sore," she stuttered, staring into his eyes with helplessness. "I c-can't take it.
You can cut my money too f-for d-d-enying you," a tear rolled down her cheek and
disappeared into her locks.
He frowned but then a smile reached his lips as he tilted his head, looking at her.
"Wonder where that wild cat has gone?" he whispered before pinching the bridge of her
nose and getting off of her, positioning himself on one side of the bed.
'You tamed that wild cat,' she thought, brokenly.
She sat up, looking at him while swallowing the lump that formed in her throat.
Suddenly, her shoulders raised when he patted the place next to him. "Come here," he
commanded. She quickly wore her trousers before sitting in the exact place where he
pointed. Next to him.
He laid her head on his chest and began to caress her hair.
She could listen to his heartbeat.
Thump
Thud
Thump
Thud
His heart entirely conflicting with her palpitating heart.
Her eyes instinctively moved up to see his eyes closed, his curled yet thick lashes on display
while his hand continued to stroke her hair.
He muttered something under his breath, which she couldn't quite catch.
"Oh, how will I get over you, Sheharzaad?"
....
Back in the present, she was still in his captivity. Her imprisonment started from the night
she had agreed to sell him her body, and to the day, it still continued.
She couldn't muster up the courage to speak against him; rather, she was here to face the
dire consequences of the similar sin she had committed at his home.
"Can I please leave?" she spoke after moments of contemplation. Her voice was not above a
murmur.
His eyes opened, revealing grey diamonds struck in his irises.
Even diamonds would envy those effervescent grey metallic shards. Cold and
unsympathetic.
"Where?" he whispered. It felt as if she had disturbed his moment of peace.
"To the restroom."
"Go," he said, and it didn't take her seconds to fly away from there, while he sat there,
sniffing the remnants of her alluring fragrance.
In the middle of her way, she met a flight attendant who guided her to the restroom.
"Here it is," the attendant said with a smile, showing Sheharzaad the door.
Sheharzaad looked around. She just wanted to be away from him, and now, as she gained
the short-lived freedom, she would live it until the flight lands.
"Please, can you show me some other seat? Boss's working. I don't want to disturb him."
"Yeah, sure," the attendant spoke with a smile.
The plane was luxurious, screaming money as there were compartments made.
She and Shehryaar too sat in one of those compartments, partitioned by a door.
She led Sheharzaad the way as she slid the door open, only to reveal a whole bedroom. Her
eyes jutted out.
Sheharzaad sat on the sofa, and the first thing she did was release the breath struck in her
throat and grabbed the bottle of water she so wanted to have to wet her parched throat.
"Who else is in this plane?" Sheharzaad asked.
"Sir's security in one of those partitions and our whole staff, excluding the male flight
attendants," she apprised.
Sheharzaad frowned. "The company doesn't hire male attendants?"
"No, ma'am, there is nothing like that," she spoke. "Sir had specifically ordered no male
attendant on this flight, other than his security who are just to stay in their room."
"Why?" She couldn't help but ask.
"Maybe we heard some special guest was accompanying him," she responded, only to get
Sheharzaad's eyes widened.
He removed all the males from today's flight staff because of her? Or was someone else
coming?
She was still trying to find the reasons behind his mysterious step when the attendant, who
was in contact with her earpiece with someone, spoke to her, "Sir demands your presence."
Sheharzaad passed her a nod, inwardly thanking that she at last got a chance to breathe
somewhere peacefully, and the dreadful flight was at last coming to an end.
She was returning back from where she had come from, and as soon as she entered the
cabin, she heard his growl, making her insides quiver.
"How the fuck did he get kidnapped?" She heard him say, and danger bells rang in her ears.
Hoping she had no hand in angsting him.
Only if she knew...
