Chapter 520 Jenson (Part Two)
When Stella left home, she only took one bank card.
Even her parents were unaware of the existence of this card, containing the pocket money she had saved bit by bit since high school.
Over the years, it had accumulated into a considerable sum.
Though not as wealthy as others, it was enough for Stella to manage two years.
Stella firmly believed that as long as she could leave this home, she could support herself anywhere with her own hands.
It was clear that her family did not take Stella's attitude seriously.
In her father's eyes, Stella's usual obedient demeanor still held sway.
Even if Stella wanted to resist, what could she do?
Once her living expenses were cut off, wouldn't she obediently follow the family's arrangements?
After a heated argument, Mr. Kirk ultimately chose to proceed with the marriage.
The reputation of the Kirk family's daughters was well-known.
The other side immediately agreed.
On the day of the engagement, Stella abandoned everything and headed straight to the airport. Seeing Stella missing, Mr. Kirk sent a car to chase after her.
She had never realized how far the journey from home to the airport was.
As the cars behind her were about to catch up, Stella clenched her fists, feeling them damp with sweat.
Suddenly, several cars appeared out of nowhere, directly interrupting Mr. Kirk's pursuit.
Stella was on the verge of tears.
She turned around and saw a tall figure stepping out of the car.
—It was Jenson!
Without a word to Jenson, she urged the driver to hurry up.
She rushed to the airport, boarded the flight, and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Her days in a foreign land were not as smooth as she had imagined, but Stella endured it willingly.
Under a different sky, Stella grew determinedly and finally became the youngest female scientist in her circle.
On the day she set off for home, she wrote a date in her diary.
Since her escape years ago, she had been away for exactly seven years.
From her naive twenties to the brink of turning thirty, she remained beautiful but more mature and poised.
With over a dozen hours of flight ahead, she had plenty of time to rest and read.
Sitting beside her was a man dressed casually yet elegantly.
He kept his face hidden under a hat, revealing only his handsome nose and smooth jawline. When she caught a glimpse of him, Stella's heart suddenly raced.
She quickly turned away.
Her mentor had mentioned that someone would accompany her on the journey, but she had waited at the airport for a long time without seeing anyone.
During her years abroad, she had received much care from her mentor.
Thinking of her mentor, Stella felt even warmer inside.
In her heart, her mentor was the true goddess, elegant to the utmost.
With a poised and dignified demeanor, she retained her charm despite her age.
Her mentor's beauty was not that of a young and tender flower but akin to fine wine that had aged through storms, irresistible to all.
Stella had quietly vowed to take her mentor as a role model.
She opened her book and continued to read.
Eventually, she fell asleep and only woke up when she saw her homeland's sky.
She took a deep breath.
The unfamiliar freshness made Stella nostalgic.
Suddenly, a voice behind her called out, "Hey, you dropped something."
Stella instinctively turned around, and the person had already brought an old wallet to her.
"Thank you."
She accepted and thanked him.
When she looked up, their eyes met, and she froze.
Standing before her was the man who had been sitting beside her earlier.
Same hat, same clothes.
But he had a familiar face.
"Jenson..." she stammered.
"Long time no see."
"Yeah, what a coincidence."
"Not a coincidence, I came to pick you up."
"Huh?"
Stella widened her eyes, finding it hard to believe her ears.
"Give me you luggage."
Jenson had already marched over, holding her luggage.
After taking a few steps forward, he urged, "Come on, are you planning to spend the night at the airport?"
Stella hurriedly caught up with him, "Wait a minute. Aren't we going in the opposite direction?"
"Just get in the car."
Stella not only failed to retrieve her luggage but was led by him all the way to the parking lot.
"Hurry up."
Jenson placed her luggage in the trunk and opened the passenger door.
The meaning was clear.
Stella had no choice but to enter.
"Sorry to have caused you so much trouble."
"No trouble at all. In fact, it is my duty," he replied.
Stella: ???
These words were incomprehensible to her.
"Jenson, have you misunderstood something?" she inquired.
"Didn't you agree to meet with your mentor's son for a blind date?"
Stella blushed deeply.
"How did you know?"
"Because I am him," Jenson revealed with a gentle smile.
At this point, Stella had no further questions.
Over the years, Jenson had deliberately orchestrated several encounters with her abroad.
Stella berated herself for being so oblivious to his obvious hints.
"Don't break your promise." he interjected.
"I never imagined that person would be you," she confessed.
"Well, now that you know, it's not too late."
Stella bit her lip. "You are being insistent."
"Am I?"
Soon, she realized that the car was not heading her home.
"Hey, where are you taking me?"
"Don't you wish to have a meal with your mentor in your hometown? I have arranged it," he revealed.
"Jenson!!"
The car stopped at Palland Garden, and neither Jenson nor Stella got out.
In the garden, Mollie bathed in sunlight, with Hassan looking upon her affectionately.
Despite being married for so many years, their love remained as strong as ever.
Hassan offered some sliced fruit to his wife.
Mollie flashed a childish smile and glanced towards the car.
"Guess who will get out of the car first?"
Hassan replied, "I don't know."
She rolled her eyes, "Just guess!"
"Alright. Give me some minutes. "...-- The End
