Chapter 519 Jenson (Part One)
"Let's finalize the wedding arrangements. We'll book the hotel, arrange for food and wedding gowns."
Stella turned her face away, uninterested in the matters unrelated to her.
Her elder sister is getting married.
The elders from both sides had been discussing for a while now, with the groom's mother being particularly assertive.
Stella found such situations tiresome.
However, this alliance had long been anticipated by her family.
The only consolation was that her sister and the groom deeply loved each other.
"Stella, it's also time for you to consider marriage," the groom's mother smiled warmly, though a hint of shrewdness shimmered in her eyes.
Stella disliked the way the woman looked at her.
Yet, she politely responded, "I will follow my parents' wishes."
The groom's mother was pleased with the obedient demeanor of the young lady and nodded appreciatively.
"Your parents raise you well."
"Thanks."
Stella left early, citing school matters as the reason.
As she closed the door, she still heard praises for her coming from inside.
In Lequa, everyone knew that the Kirk family had two beautiful daughters.
Now, Stella's sister's marriage had been settled.
Stella appeared more gentle on the surface than her sister, her nature was more stubborn.
She had already secretly applied to study abroad.
Only by completely leaving this place could she attain true freedom.
She was unwilling to be a pawn, let alone an object of a marriage alliance.
"Stella," a deep voice rang out, followed by the delivery of her exam results.
"Once again, you've come first."
"Thanks, Jenson."
“Why do you always hang your head? Are you afraid I will eat you?"
"No," Stella raised her eyes, quietly observing the outstanding man in front of her.
Jenson Cole, the heir of Diof Ventures.
At only twenty-five years old, he had already completed all his studies, smoothly progressing to a Ph.D.
Now, he worked at Diof Ventures while also assisting at the school.
The professors couldn't bear to see him waste his research talent and begged him to stay.
Despite being such a remarkable figure, he had multiple connections with her.
Stella felt like she was facing a formidable opponent.
She was well aware of his status and the gap between them.
“Which school do you plan to apply to?"
"Niafolkia," Stella replied.
"Your grades should be sufficient, but Niafolkia has its own selection exam. Are you sure you can pass it?"
Jenson had entered Niafolkia with a perfect score, completing all courses in less than two years and graduating early with a dual degree.
Stella was a bit annoyed by his questioning, but she didn't show it.
"With effort, I should be able to."
Jenson smiled, "Work hard."
"Thanks."
Stella politely stepped back two paces and walked away without looking back.
Jenson's gaze followed her until Cassandra suddenly hugged him from behind.
"Guess who I am!"
"Grow up, sis," Jenson was at a loss as his sister squeezed his neck.
Cassandra was spoiled by the family.
"You like her, right?"
Jenson put Cassandra down, "Don't speak nonsense."
"I'm not talking nonsense."
Cassandra winked mischievously,"She's outstanding, beautiful, diligent, and talented. Dad and Mom must like her."
"Cassandra!"
"Hey, I came back for your birthday and this is your attitude?"
Cassandra pouted.
"You think I'm stupid? We're twins."
Cassandra attracted attention as she walked through the campus.
"Oh my gosh, isn't that Cassandra?"
"The movie queen?!"
"Oh my, I need to get an autograph!"
A bold girl approached, "Cassandra, can I have your autograph?"
Cassandra signed for her.
Excited, the girl returned to her classmates, now the envy of all.
Jenson dragged Cassandra home.
Cassandra had returned, bringing joy to the whole family.
Lily asked, "How long do you plan to stay this time?"
"Grandma, I will be filming in Lequa for some days. I can come home every day and spend more time with you."
Cassandra was adept at making elders happy.
Lily was beaming with joy.
Hassan was even happier.
He looked at his daughter with tender eyes.
"This is good. Spend more time with family, and don't work too hard."
"No, I want to be like my brother."
Cassandra persisted, "I'm smart and beautiful, and if I work hard, it's the icing on the cake."
"She's right." Jenson chuckled.
The family was rejoicing, but the atmosphere in the Kirk family was not as pleasant.
With a loud bang, Mr. Kirk smashed the glass.
"Say that again!?"
Stella stood in the center of the living room, meeting her father's angry gaze.
"I will not marry him."
She spoke clearly, once again expressing her stance.
"Stella, what are you thinking? He belongs to a noble family and is the sole heir in the family, being very attentive and courteous towards you."
Mr. Kirk was surprised.
Stella was always obedient and sensible, never defying his wishes for over twenty years.
Why was she acting this way today?
"Anyway, I won't marry him."
"I have the final say!"
Stella remained silent and turned to go upstairs.
In the living room, Mr. Kirk was still angry.
Stella opened her luggage.
It seemed that her trip needed to be advanced.
