Chapter 507: Map

In the end, Mollie never had the chance to speak.

It was unimaginable.

A person as decisive as her, who never backed down in the face of any storm, kept feeling timid in front of this man.

It didn't feel like herself!

Mollie closed her eyes with a bitter smile and nestled in his embrace.

The address given by Liam was behind their orphanage.

Mollie and Hassan decided to go.

Jonah was reluctant to part ways.

"I will slowly move the company and our home back to Lequa. This has been my Grandpa's wish for many years."

Hassan: "We will wait for your return."

They bid farewell to Jonah and returned to Lequa.

Life suddenly returned to normal.

Mollie looked at the letter and map in silence for a long time.

A week after their return, Hassan said to her.

"There won't be any major issues with the company in the short term, and I have also made arrangements for the children's schooling. We got ten days."

The man raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of mischief in his tone.

"It's better to act sooner rather than later. I know you're worried and afraid, but it's okay. Whatever happens, I'll be by your side."

His eyes were as dark as night yet seemed to be filled with countless stars.

Mollie's heart was stirred.

"Let's go tomorrow. The kids got the nanny, housekeeper, and my mom. You can rest assured."

Seeing that he had everything arranged, Mollie was left speechless.

"Let's go together, don't think about leaving me behind."

He pulled her into his arms, letting her sit on his lap.

"Sure."

The next day was a clear and beautiful day.

The sky over Lequa was incredibly blue.

A gentle breeze brushed their faces, dispersing the worries of the night.

Mollie and Hassan drove to the orphanage, which looked very different from before.

For years, Mollie had never stopped supporting the orphanage.

Not to mention that Hassan had spent a lot of effort repairing and renovating the place.

Now, looking around, Mollie couldn't find any traces of her childhood.

Pausing at the entrance, Hassan took her hand and said, "Let's go."

The map provided by Liam was marked clearly.

Following this road all the way forward would lead them into a dense forest where few people ventured.

Similar to behind Jonah's villa, there was a large lake here.

Today's weather was excellent, with the lake reflecting the blue sky, shimmering with ripples.

It was a sight that brought peace to the soul.

The map ended at the lakeshore.

Liam had left a strange mark on the map, specifically instructing Hassan to find it.

Mollie furrowed her brows slightly, "Liam has always been full of ideas, who knows what he's up to."

She looked around and shouted loudly.

"Liam, stop playing games! We have found this place, come out!"

Silence enveloped the surroundings, only the rustling sound of the wind through the dense forest could be heard.

After a few bird calls, everything fell silent.

Hassan chuckled, "I actually admire him. He's able to come up with such intricate schemes. Look at this mark, doesn't it resemble a stone over there?"

Mollie glanced at it and shook her head, "Not quite."

"Because it needs me to sit on it."

Saying that, Hassan walked towards the stone that resembled a chair on the map.

Mollie glanced at the mark on the map, suddenly becoming alert.

"Don't go there!"

But before she could finish, Hassan had already sat on the stone.

The stone suddenly sank a bit, causing the ground to gently sway.

She rushed towards Hassan, but the stone bench had already taken him along into the suddenly opened passage.

She could only watch as Hassan was covered by a sheet of water.

Her heart felt like a crumpled piece of paper, as if it were being scorched by fire.

"Liam! Get out!!"

She weakly floundered in the water grass.

Liam must have meticulously calculated everything and had powerful technology supporting him.

Once Mollie regained her composure, she became incredibly powerful.

She found the passage to the lakebed.

Standing in front of the mechanism, she drew out a dagger glinting with cold light and threw it at the mechanism.

The dagger violently destroyed the mechanism, and the passage slowly opened.

Mollie took two steps forward.

Then she realized, the tumultuous waves she had seen earlier were just illusions, a trick Liam had used to deceive her eyes.

The lake wasn't nearly as large as it appeared.

As long as Hassan sat on the stone bench, his weight acted as the password to open the mechanism.

Mollie looked at the passage and walked in without hesitation.

It was pitch black, with nothing visible in the darkness.

Mollie walked forward step by step.

Finally, she saw a faint blue light ahead, prompting her to quicken her pace to catch up.

It was Hassan!

Seeing him standing there safe and sound, a huge weight lifted off her heart.

As long as he was safe.

She surged forward, only to be met with a transparent barrier that blocked her path.

Not only was she unable to pass through, but she couldn't even hear his voice.

Despite her pounding and shouting, Hassan seemed unresponsive.

Across from Hassan stood Liam!

Mollie's pupils tightened at the sight.

Liam still bore the resemblance of five years ago, albeit slightly leaner.

His face bore a serene and dignified smile.

It was hidden beneath his glasses, making it hard to discern his true expression.

"Liam!! Release him, tell me what you want, and I will give you anything!"

Mollie's desperation was palpable, as she dreaded a repeat of the events from five years ago.

Despair threatened to engulf her.

Suddenly, Liam's voice came from behind her.

"Mollie, do you love him so much? So much so that you would sacrifice yourself?"

Mollie whipped around, only to see Liam standing behind.

Clad in a pristine white shirt, he smiled gently at her.

"It has been a while since we last met. Meeting you again brings me great joy," he remarked, a hint of sadness lingering in his eyes.

"Joy?"

Mollie lunged forward with a punch.

The blow nearly sent Liam stumbling.

But he chuckled softly, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.

"You are still the same as before."
