I could never be friends with him.
I tried to get up and suddenly felt a pain shoot up through my left leg when I got on my feet, and went flying back down, face planting into the hard wooden floor.
I heard my kidnapper burst out laughing and scowled into the floor.
Putting my hands by my side, I lifted myself off of the floor, now sitting with my left leg in front of me.
Stupid leg, I should've brought some painkillers with me… But it was unexpected as it was now very rare that my leg would hurt.
Well, it was also unexpected to get tackled by your sexy kidnapper and then try to get up so I guess I shouldn't be too concerned.
He finally stopped laughing and stared down at me.
« That's what you deserve, so now I guess we're even. » He smirked.
I just gave him back a glare.
I made the mistake of moving my leg, which caused more pain to shoot up making me clench my jaw.
It usually wasn't this bad…
« What's wrong with your leg ? » He asked, noticing my pain and crouching down beside it.
« Nothing, it's fine. » I spat. I really didn't want to tell him the story of how my leg got messed up. I hadn't told anyone. Not even my best friends… It was that bad.
« Skylar, it looks pretty serious. Let me just see it. » He said, resting a hand softly on my left thigh.
« I probably just pulled a muscle or something. » I shrugged and tried to stand up again.
That didn't work out. I felt my leg buckle and was about to fall back down, but felt two arms wrap around my waist, catching me.
I stared up into my kidnapper's concerned eyes.
« Skylar, you have to tell me what's wrong so we can fix it. » He pleaded softly.
He even pulled the puppy dog face !
I knew I was a goner now. I sighed in defeat.
« Fine, but can we have breakfast first ? » I asked, my stomach grumbled after, agreeing.
He chuckled. « Fine. »
He finished making two more pancakes, then split them in half, setting four on each of our plates.
We sat at the wooden table, the dog food thankfully gone now.
I started to eat but stopped abruptly as I noticed my kidnapper was leaning in close to me.
I eyed him strangely as he leaned in even more and sniffed me.
Wait, what ?
« What are you doing… ? » I asked, leaning away slightly from him.
« Smelling you. » He said distractedly.
Now who's the dog ?
« Come here. » » He motioned for me to come closer.
After giving him a confused look, I hesitantly leaned forward.
I heard him take in a large breath through his nose.
« Did you use my Axe shampoo ? » He asked all of a sudden, sounding a little amused.
Now it made sense, he was smelling me because he smelled the Axe.
Was it really that strong ? Ugh. I knew I shouldn't have used it.
« There was nothing else ! » I defended myself.
He just chuckled at me.
I ignored him and finished those delicious pancakes. Who knew kidnappers were amazing chefs ? Even my mum couldn't cook this good…
After we finished eating, he told me to go put away our dishes.
But me being stubborn, especially when it comes to chores, I refused.
« It's only fair, I made the food. And plus, I'm the boss. » He said smugly.
I'm the boss this, I'm the boss that, god was I getting tired of hearing that…
I just put them all away in the end because he pulled the puppy dog face again… Jerk hole.
After I was done, I walked back to the table slowly, knowing it was time to tell him about my leg.
He stood up as he saw me enter.
« Let's go somewhere more comfy. » He said, leading the way to the living room.
« Like my home ? » I asked innocently.
He ignored me though and kept walking.
He took a seat on a red couch, I took the seat across on a white loveseat.
The whole room was red and white, and reminded me of red velvet cupcakes.
That of course, ended up in making my stomach howl.
The kidnapper just looked at me strangely. « You just ate. » He stated.
« I can't help but think of red velvet cupcakes after looking around this room. » I confessed.
That just made him laugh. I think he really liked laughing. What was strange was how I found his laugh quite attractive and had to stop my own smile… There must've been something in those pancakes.
I stared at him as he laughed and couldn't tear my eyes away from his contagious smile.
Yeah, definitely the pancakes…
After he composed himself, he looked at me seriously. « So, about your leg. »
I nodded and looked down at my hands, preparing myself for another emotional breakdown.
I knew it would be hard telling him the story, since it would be the first time I've ever told anyone.
« One night, my dad came into my room, he was really drunk, more than usual. » I started, my eyes turning cold at the memory of my father.
