Chapter 173 The life she missed out on II

Chapter 173 The life she missed out on II

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!” Samantha screamed. The wind brushed through her hair. “You should try it. It’s refreshing,”

She told Heaven.

Samantha had begged Chekas to let them take his Lamborghini. She had explained they were being tailed and needed help. Heaven had found Samantha’s lie amusing but she thought it would be fun. So Heaven deposited a huge hiring fee to Chekas. And now here they were, free no guards trailing after them.

Heaven unbuckled her seat belt, shocking Samantha. She stood up, spread her hand wide in the open roof and screamed.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”

She turned to Samantha and they both laughed out loud.

“This is so much fun,” Heaven shouted.

“Wait until we reach the club.” Samantha said.

The music blasted through the speakers. Heaven jumped and danced like everyone else. Samantha pushed through the crowd with a small glass of alcohol in each hand.

“It’s going to be weird on the first try but—”

Heaven took it before she could explain and licked the lime afterwards.

“I know these things.” She shouted “I just haven’t tried them.”

One drink turned to two, three, four. They took pictures and videos of themselves. They got tired and tipsy and moved to the VIP lounge to cool off.

Two bare chested hot looking boys approached them.

“Hi mama’s. You two are too pretty to be alone,” one said smoothly.

“I hope you don’t mind if we join the party. I’m Jack. This is my cousin, Ken.”

They were gigolos looking for rich ladies to deceive and lure money off them.

Samantha had been a stripper and walked in a club so she knew boys like this. She had noticed them even on the dance floor.

“Sam, I think we should leave,” Heaven whispered to Sam, grabbing her hand and standing up.

Sam didn’t budge. She pulled Heaven back on the seat.

“We don’t mind at all.” She smiled sweetly. They smiled and took a seat across them. “But I don’t know about my boyfriend.” She pouted playfully.

“Don’t worry about that.” He stretched his hand and ran it sexily on Sam’s hand. Heaven's eyes widened. “Your secret is safe with us.”

“Alright, Sam said leaning in. “I just figured out that he kills people for a living,” she whispered it like a confession. Their brows creased.

“I dated him for a long time and I didn't know until I saw him fire a gun at the man who touched me and his fingers fell on the floor. Then he shot his left foot, then the right and watched him bleed until he went lifeless.”

The table suddenly went quiet. Heaven found the look on their faces amusing. They looked like they were about to shit their pants.

Ken suddenly broke into a laugh and Jack followed suit.

“You are so funny Mama. You almost got us.”

“She’s not though.” Heaven said calmly, taking a sip. “Rayan can be crazy.” Heaven took a sip from her cup. “You don’t wanna mess with him.” She added.

“You saw how my twin sister almost left, right?.” Sam continued. “Because she is scared for you. She’s in a mess. Her baby daddy is in the military, he is crazy. He drove through a gate just to see her. And her fiance? He is in the mafia. He has trust issues so he employed these four huge, brutal, eerie looking men to always tail her. The last person that got close to her had guns shoved down their ass—“

Jack and Ken shot up immediately. “I—I think we should leave now.” Jack said.

Samantha acted surprised. “But why?”

“We.. we forgot to turn off our car engine—” Ken gave the silliest excuse.

“Oh.. that's bad.. your car battery could die.. just like that man who—“

Before Samantha could complete her words they slipped away.

Heaven burst out laughing, Sam followed.

“They got so scared..”

“They should be else they wouldn’t have left. They lure loaded ladies with their sweet mouths so they can service them and get paid.”

“Like male sex workers?” Heaven had heard but never seen.

“Yes, Gigolos. That’s how they earn a living.”

Heaven's phone dinged. She panicked holding the phone out. “What if they figured out we have been in there for a long time and decided to tell Fabian?”

“Let me answer it. If I do he would let go of his fears. You are with me. Maverick hasn’t stolen you yet.” Samantha blurted out. She bit her lips and cursed low.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have..”

Heaven shook her head. “It’s nothing. It’s not something to be sorry for.” It was a good thing Maverick hadn’t come back after his stunt. Everything was working out how she wanted it. Him gone from her life.

She picked her glass and downed the content at once. She poured more into the cup and drank again. In the third attempt Sam stopped her.

“It’s not late to call all this—”

“Don’t” she told Sam. Maverick was her doom and she needed to end it. In order to do so she needed Fabian. She ran a hand through her hair.

Her phone dinged again. She picked it up, it was a recorded video. She gently tapped on it and her blood ran cold.

“Grandma?”

Her grandmother was on life support, the camera shifted from her frail face to the machine's socket.

A text followed. IF YOU TELL A SOUL SHE DIES. COME ALONE
