Caleb delivered the results as soon as I stepped out of her ward. It was just like I expected.
“Her brakes were tampered with. That was why she couldn’t stop the car on time. All surveillance footages are being pulled out to know who tampered with them”

“I expect all of them in the next five minutes”
“And also, the trucks driver was a paid hit man. It’s yet to identify who sent to him. But all ties leads back to the main house”
Now this piece of information made me pause. Main house, that meant…
“Someone from my family was involved?”

“Yes sir”
“Find them. And whomever they may be, drag them to the base. In fact, drag them all to the base. As well as all the guards that were tasked to protect her”

No amount of blood shed here today will quantify even a drop of the blood she lost.
“One more thing sir”
“Go on”

“The media was sent by Tiana Cruz. As well the guy we had caught previously stalking the Madam. She has spies she uses to gather intel about the Madam”

“How did she find out that she was heading to the abortion clinic?”
“She followed the Madam personally and had alerted the media. She must have thought that the Madam had come here all alone”
“Capture her as well. Until she wakes up, they will receive the pain she felt.”

“Yes sir”
Caleb walked away as I boarded my car and headed to the main mansion. I already had an inkling about who had sent the truck driver. And for his sake I hoped it wasn’t true.


“Why did you touch her?”
I moved with precision and met my father halfway and grabbed him by the collar. Calling him father seemed to be too merciful for no human could do what he did without batting an eye. Especially to another person.

“Brat, you finally decide to come home and then you straight up question me about that slut?!”
I slammed my father’s back against the wall, all sense of reasoning had already left me. If he didn’t die by my hands today that would be truly lenient.

“What did you do? And why did you do it?”
“Don’t make it seem as if I am anyone different. Everyone had said it that she would probably be cast out by you once you were done with your fill. After all, she’s just a measly actress”

At this point, the entire household was slowly gathering around us and no one dared to move an inch in stopping me.
“I dare you to say that once again”

I swear, if my father were to ever call her…

“A prostitute. A filthy whore who believed she could climb into wealth through you. Do you need me to…. Fuck!!!”
I didn’t need him to complete the statement before my fist connected with his jaw and he spat out a mouthful of blood.
“Adrian… Adrian stop…. Please stop”

I couldn’t listen to anyone’s cry as I kept on punching him till I was sure he was roughened up.
“So you dare to hit your father over a girl in the entertainment industry?”
“And I am not done just yet”

My eyes carefully scanned the entire living room.
“I don’t care about anyone else. The only thing I want to know is what part you all played”
My nieces dropped their head down as they suddenly found the floors fascinating. An obvious act of guilt.
I dropped the old man and made my way to them.

“What did you do?”
Both of them refused to answer as they hurdled closer to each other. They looked at my third brother, hoping for a way out. Too bad for them though. I had walked in here prepared.

“Drag the both of them to the base. Torture every piece of information from the both of them and find out who was the lackey that had the guts to execute their plans. Find the links between the both of them and my woman’s accident”

It was ruthless of me to go to such length but the reminder that my Princess was in an hospital room. Bound to countless tubes and the time frame of her gaining consciousness unknown.

Whatever torture they would face wouldn’t be enough to salivate the demon in me. And I doubt anything would. Except she was hale and hearty beside me once again.

“You heartless being!!! So you would drag your own family to that rotten land all for her sake?”
My father roared on but I didn’t give a damn as the men I had come with quickly took hold of the both of them, ready to knock down anyone who stood in their way.

“I said take them away”
“Uncle wait. I will talk”
Both of them struggled as they fought for who to speak first but I pointed at Melody and motioned for her to speak.
“Go on”

“I swear we only hired someone to tamper with her brakes. We didn’t do anything else to her I swear”
So they had to do with brakes. But of course I could use them to find out everything else.

“So who hired the truck driver? Cause everything leads to the both of you”
I subtly hinted at the fact that I already knew that both of them were behind the accident. And just as expected, their faces paled more.

“We swear we weren’t behind it. Grandfather sent…”
My father scoffed loudly to interrupt the both of them but I already gotten the answer I needed.
“So you were the cause of it? You hired that man to kill her huh?”

“It was meant to be a little scare to her? How does she think she could just waltz into your life? And did you see the manner of which she had spoken to me previously? Such an outrageous act”

He kept on rambling but I didn’t pay attention anymore as I zoned out.
I had done everything. Protected her in her place of work. Handed her the entire world. But I had overlooked one thing.
My own family.

My own family had landed her in that position. My own family wanted to kill her. But I had meant what I had said. For every drop of blood she shed, they would pay for it in a thousand fold.

“From today, I break all blood connections between all of us. I will reimburse every single cent you have spent on me from the day I was born till today. I already resigned from being your company CEO and I already covered the handover.
But for this particular situation, you all will pay”

My men dragged the both of them along with me as their parents screamed behind us. There were so many ways I could handle Old Man Cole without having to torture him.

From today onwards, I would be the cause of the Cole family’s downfall.
My Princess will never have any of these insects bother her again.
