Chapter 24

~ Wolfendon ~

The entire pack was in distress as their alpha was sick and female alpha is yet to be found. The entire pack wasn't happy and everyone didn't laugh or hang out together the way they used to.

Nyra was the one who was affected by it the most. She hasn't seen her sister in days and her brother is currently in a coma. She didn't know what to do and wished there was a way she could help them but sadly she couldn't. She wished she could go to viesrryan to find her sister but of course everywhere was guarded and they would catch her.

She had tried multiple times but yet they still caught her. She wanted to find her sister even if it's just to know if she's fine or alive,she couldn't imagine anything bad happening to her sister. It would break her heart and she didn't know if she would ever survive it.

She had been going to her brother's room multiple times to check on him to see if he's fine . She wanted to know badly if he would be fine or make it. She hasn't seen him move or show any signs that he was getting better instead his health was deteriorating . She couldn't believe that the vampire would do anything that bad to hurt her brother.

"What are you doing here all alone?" She heard. She turned to see Lucan. He was here again,she didn't understand why he was following her all around. She decided to go to the garden to clear her head and have her space away from everyone but no he just had to come and intrude everything.

" What do you want?" She asked him. He sat beside her ,she shifted away from him,she didn't want to be anywhere near him . He had hurt her a lot so what was the guarantee that he wasn't here to do the same

" I came here to go shopping with my mate but then I noticed you here and decided to greet you," he told her. She rolled her eyes at him,she now understood why he was there with her. It was probably to mock her and flaunt his mate in front of her so it could hurt her more and more.

" Shouldn't you be with her,why are you here talking with me?" She asked, bringing her legs close to her body, hugging it. She was going through alot and all she needed right now was a shoulder to cry on but it would never be Lucan. He wasn't there to console her ,he was probably there to mock her.

" Even though we're not together anymore , we're still friends and we should treat each other as friends," he said. She wasn't going to fall for his sugar coated words. That was what he used to trap her but then she was just very silly,this time she had wised up and wasn't going to do any lovey dovey shits .

" I don't need your friendship now get the fuck out" she told him trying to get him out of her sight. Instead of helping her it was more like he was just adding to her problems making her angry within.

" Stop acting all tough Nyra ,I know you're hurting inside and you need comfort,I'm ready to be that friend of your we don't have to be romantically together before we get to console one another " he told her. He really pitied her and knew that she had no one. He wanted to be there for her but she didn't want him anywhere her, she was still hurting from him and needed to get comfort.

" I don't need your fucking pity,take that stupid pity of yours and get the hell out of here" she yelled at him catching him off guard. It was something he hadn't expected her to do. He knew that his presence wasn't needed and got up just then his mate who had been looking for him all around finally noticed him and went over to his side.

" There you are,I've been looking all over for you" she said . Lucan got up from where he was seated and we t over to her putting one hand around her waist.

" Nyra,meet my mate mia" he told her. The hurt could be clearly seen in Mia's eyes. She felt betrayed and wouldn't imagine that Lucan would do such a thing to her,she thought she was already over him but she was so wrong . She wanted to cry at that moment but at the same time she didn't want to be seen as a weakling,she didn't want Lucan and his mate to think they'd won.

" Hi,I'm Nyra, Lucan's ex-girlfriend '' she said and Mia's Expression changed. She looked at Lucan with a questioning look but he just gave her a nervous smile.

" It's nice meeting you" she said and shook hands with her while holding a very fake smile. She left them after causing a little drama between them ,she would surely want to know why her boyfriend was with his ex leaving her all alone.

She went back to her room and decided that she couldn't stay in Wolfenden for too long. She was going to go find her sister,she wasn't going to depend on her so-called people's warriors. She was going to search for her sisters herself.

Her mind wasn't at rest and she knew that it never could be until she had seen her sister making sure that she was okay. She looked out from her window,she knew security was tight to prevent the vampire from invading them. She was going to get out tonight,she was going to disguise as one of them and was sure that they wouldn't easily recognize her if she did.

She went to her closet and brought out the clothes she was going to use. Since she followed them to the battlefield she still has the clothes. She would disguise in it and with a little makeup trick would look completely different.

" Hang on , I'm going to save you" she said to herself.
