Chapter 36 Revelations
After spending a couple of days on the ranch, she decided to go back to the city by Sunday. She wanted to stay more longer but she knew she can't for she have lots of responsibilities and commitments that must need to face for the firm.
With renewed spirit, she finally made up a decision. Maybe her father is right. If a person loves you more than you could ever know, you have to treasure him before you lose him. She can't lose Matt, he is always been there for her and he'll surely never hurt her while Thyago gave her nothing but pain. Yes, no one makes her feel happy and amazing the way he does but he also has the best capacity to break her heart and tear it apart. With Thyago, she always ends up getting hurt even if he doesn't want to. No matter how he regrets hurting her fact remains that he had hurt her and she doesn't want to risk a chance in him. Her father may be right that no matter how you badly want a person if he doesn't meant for you to have he can never be yours. Whatever he feels for Thyago now, it will pass soon. After all, it was all her fault. She should've never let him be close and invade her life again, instead she rekindled the fire of attraction she felt for him way back then and allow herself to fall again the reason she was in deep trouble now.
Combing her hair in front of her vanity mirror after showering, she heard her doorbell rang. She just came back at her unit and she was a bit tired from driving all the way back to the city. Wondering who might it be, she suddenly remembered texting Matt that she arrived in the city earlier. He might decide to visit because after all, she was not expecting anyone to come. Good thing because she will make up with him this time. She will invite him for dinner and they can cook together.
Trying to make herself feel excited and without looking at the peephole, she immediately opened the door just to be surprised it wasn't Matt but Thyago instead. As a response, she attempted to shut the door but his reflexes are faster than she expected and stopped her from closing the door then immediately get inside her unit.
"What do you think you're doing?" She confronted irritatingly.
"No, the question is what do you think you're doing? You're avoiding for almost two weeks now!" If she was mad, the Thyago in front of her looked more fuming mad. His glare was accusing and mad as hell.
"What made you think I'm avoiding you?" She sarcastically retorted. She doesn't think he'll buy her reasons but still, she will try to deny it.
"Don't try to deny it, dammit! Why you're nowhere to find without even answering my calls? Shit, you're fucking good at torturing you know?" His face is red and his muscles down his neck are showing. He came closer to her but she steps backward. He was not walking straight and he smells a mixture of perfume and alcohol.
"Are you drunk?" She voiced out what's on her mind.
"I'm not drunk, just a bit tipsy." She got stunned when he suddenly cupped her face and gently enjoin their foreheads together. She couldn't help to gasp and pushed him as a response.
"You were drunk, Thyago. Leave, please..." She uttered and drastically tried to pushed him out of the door but he wouldn't move.
"Get out! My boyfriend is coming and he might see you here!" She told him just to make him leave.
The next action he made is she never expected. He grabbed her both hands and forcibly switched their places. He kicked the door closed and his arms imprisoned her body. He slammed through the walls and forcibly claimed her lips in a passionate kiss. She tried to stop him by pushing him and hitting his chest but he was so strong, her attempts were useless. She felt him plunged his tongue to get an entrance and when he succeeded, he tasted every corner of her mouth. His kisses landed on her cheek down to her neck in an aggressive way as she keep on jerking her face away from him. Tears are now flowing hastily in her face but when she noticed it, he suddenly stopped and stared at her looking worried and guilty.
"I-I'm sorry, baby..." Confusion and regret are what she could view in those blue orbs of him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you and make you cry this way. I was engulfed with my emotion. Please forgive me...." He pleaded.
She pushed him away and he let her go. He took a deep breath and then he stared back at her with sadness in the eyes. She couldn't understand herself but she hate seeing him looking sad and worried this way.
"I love you, Bea." He suddenly said that stunned the hell out of her.
"Y-You what?" She asked while stuttering.
What's his revelation this time? Is this for real? Did he really confess that he love her? Why is it felt like he's hurting so bad when he tailed those words? Does he know what he's talking about or is this only brought by alcohol in his system?
"I'm acting this way because I'm in love with you, dammit! Can you blame me for why I did that? I missed you so much but you were avoiding and rejecting me this past few days and that hurts me real bad." He stated devastatingly.
Sunned in his revelation again, she looked him in the eye trying to figure out if he was stating the truth or not. She shook her head in the end because she can't seem to believe that he is in love with her all this time.
No! My imagination just only deceiving me. Thyago love me? How come! Would he think I'll easily believe him? We'll if he really does, so what? It's not like I will dump Matt for him. That will never going to happen...
"Do you hear yourself talking Thyago Williams?" She heaved a frustrated sigh and try to calm herself as anger and pain started to engulf her.
He was now proclaiming he's in love with the girl he avoided years ago after learning she had a crush on him? The girl she turned down and told her to stay away from her years ago. Would he think she will buy that?
"You think I'll believe you with your lies?" She stated sarcastically. She saw him smirked bitterly. Is she not mistaken, a tinged of pain crossed his eyes?
"Look... I know I hurt you before. I'm so sorry for being a jerk but believe it or not, I have loved you even before until now." He said desperately.
She went silent for a while and didn't answer him. A part of her was stunned by his revelation but a part of her saying do not believe him. Why did she let him mess her life again? Thyago only bought her but pain and heartaches and now he was jeopardizing her feelings.
"I don't expect you to believe me that easily but it's true, I love you and I mean it," he uttered seriously.
"After eight years you burst into my life all of a sudden, acted strangely, and befriended me again and now you're telling me you love me? Tell me, how am I suppose to believe you when you used to hate me after learning my feelings for you?" She accused bitterly.
"I know this is hard to believe that's why I'm here telling you all of this hoping you will give me a chance to win your heart. Tell me, what should I do for you to love me back because I'm going crazy and don't know what to do anymore." He stated in a pleading tone. His voice is full of pain and his eyes show different emotions that affected her heart.
A part of me wanted to hope he's telling me the truth but a part of me saying he wasn't. Is he drunk and possibly mistaking me for someone else? Did he mistake me for Elena? But he said my name a while ago. Still, he was drunk and probably doesn't knew what he's doing...
"You're drunk, Thyago. Just go home..." she still managed to stay calm hoping he would listen.
"What should I do for you to love me back, Bea? Please, I wanna know." He was now shouting and looked so desperate.
Honestly, it scaring her the way he was acting now. He could be more aggressive like he acted earlier when he forcibly kissed her.
"Nothing, Thyago. You do not need to do anything. I have a boyfriend and I can't afford to lose him so there's nothing you can do." She answered. It might be harsh for him but she was hoping she would knock some senses in him.
"You're lying! You responded to my kisses because you also felt that attraction towards me. You have feelings with me too and I can feel it. You can lie but your body can't."
"I didn't." She denied.
"Why do you make this hard for me Bea? I know I've been a real jerk before but I've changed now. I changed for you because I wanted to be deserving for you." He now has tears on his face. Her heart is starting to melt with his revelations but she can't just give in. This is so wrong and she had already made her decision.
"Just leave, please..." She pleaded because, at any moment, she could feel she's about to give in.
"Not until you tell me you have feelings for me too, dammit!" He shouted angrily.
"Get out, now!" She almost yells frustratedly.
"Okay.... I'll leave for now but I want you to bear this in mind, Bea. I won't stop until you admit that you love me too and I won't stop until I could have you. I will do every possible means just to have you whatever the consequences might be. I won't give up and I will have you by hook or by crook." Those words were marked on her before he decided to leave.
