Chapter 29 Nyx Club

Chapter 29 Nyx Club
The white Honda Accord pulled over in front of Nyx Club, other cars behind awaiting for the people inside to come out.
“Are you sure about this?” Mia asked with a calm tone, looking through the obscure window.
The reelection from disco lights glittering inside the building shone in her eyes, her ears gradually picking up the sound of the high-paced music reverberating.
Alara scoffed, grabbing the handle of the door.
“Come on, Mia. Don’t be a kill-joy. We are here to have fun.” She alighted from the car at once, and after she had waited for a few seconds, she grabbed Mia, forcing her out of the car.
“Come on!” She grunted, shaking Mia like she was attempting to shake off the reluctance that had gripped her.
Mia took a deep breath, and clearing her throat, she turned to Alara with a furrowed brow.
“Are you sure the Alpha will approve of this, Alara? I wouldn’t want him getting angry.” Her voice was low, laced with a little nervousness.
This prompted a twisted expression on Alara’s face, her eyes wide with wonder.
“You seem so naïve, Mia.” She scoffed, fixing her gaze on her.
“The Alpha is not even married to you, so he can’t control what you do. He has only claimed you. Not even publicly.”
Mia shuddered, but Alara remained silent, her expression shifting into annoyance.
Alara took a deep breath, drawing closer to Mia.
“Can we go now? My friends are waiting!”
Mia thought of saying no, but it didn’t even seem like Alara was going to take that as an answer.
She had already grabbed her hand, dragging her into the club.
Mia staggered, attempting to master walking with that particular set of heels.
“Maybe we should go somewhere else, Alara! Somewhere quiet with a lesser crowd!”
She had to force a smile when they got close to the entrance, met by the sight of the two giant bouncers in black attire and masks.
With their eyes popping through the tiny holes in their masks, the bouncers stared at Mia and Alara, holding onto their scary stances.
“I am sorry, I don’t think you two are permitted to go into this place.” One of them said, his voice cold and sharp.
Mia sighed, turning to Alara with a smirk.
“We should get going, Alara. You heard the man.”
“No way!” Alara grunted, holding Mia still and forcing her to stay.
She returned her gaze to the bouncers, her eyes gradually flaming with annoyance.
“What do you mean by we are not permitted to go in? Why is that?”
“Rules, Miss.” One of the bouncers responded, and that was all.
Alara growled inwardly, ignoring all the gestures Mia nervously made to her.
To infuriate her the more, the bouncer by the left stepped forward and blurted, “The club is full Miss. Leave this place before we throw you out.” His eyes were glaring at Alara, sparking with disdain.
Alara nodded, anger brewing inside her.
The words from the bouncers stung her like she had been attacked by bees, fueling her rage.
She looked to the left, and then to the right, and certain that no one was watching, she grabbed the bouncer who was closest to her reach, her sunny eyes glowing intensely.
She withdrew her claws, pushing them to the bouncer’s neck.
“Imagine what would happen if I decide to go an inch deeper.” She growled, showcasing her fangs.
“Or what would happen if Alpha Russell gets to find out that you were rude to his only sister?”
Mia gasped, staring at Alara with wide eyes.
“You are going to kill him!” She whispered with a shaky voice, but Alara refused to budge.
The bouncer swallowed hard, his heart throbbing violently.
“I…” he stuttered, shivering just like his colleague.
“I am sorry, Miss Hamilton. I didn’t know it was you.”
“Now you know.” Alara snarled, pushing her claws deeper and causing blood to flow.
“Do I need to kill you or are you going to let us in?”
The bouncer nodded. “Yes!” He succumbed loudly, turning to his partner who quickly stepped out of the way, his entire body frozen by terror.
Alara sniggered, and after she had given the bouncer two painless slaps, she let him go, her glowing eyes slowly returning to normal.
“Let’s go, Mia.” She said calmly, leading the way.
“Pathetic Humans!” She growled, taking a deep breath.
Mia soon caught up with her, staring with the same astonishment from earlier.
“You were a menace back there, Alara!” She chuckled softly, gripped by a lingering excitement.
Alara smiled, scouring the dancing hall.
“Sometimes you have to make use of your strength. Luna City is controlled by Werewolves, the Humans tend to forget that a lot.”
She returned her gaze to Mia, holding onto her smile.
“I am happy you have loosened up, Mia. This way.”
She made the first move, and Mia followed at once.
Pushing through the crowd swaying and jumping to the music, they squeezed their way to the VIP lounge, and as they got closer to the entrance, someone walked out.
She was as hot as they were, drawing the attention of the gawking males in the club.
“Alara!” She called out excitedly, waving with both hands.
Alara’s beam brightened when she saw her, her steps quickening.
“Hayley!” She hugged her friend tightly, and then she kissed her on both cheeks.
Hayley did the same, her auburn hair swayed as she moved.
Her eyes moved to Mia, and slowly her expression dropped, demanding immediate attention to her curiosity.
“Oh.” Alara took two steps backward, standing next to Mia.
“This is Mia. She is my brother’s mate.” Her tone was casual, but enough to make Hayley gasp, her blue eyes sparking with shock.
“Alpha Russell has a mate?!”
“Shuu!” Alara placed her hand over her mouth at once.
“No one knows yet.” She said, and Hayley nodded.
“Pardon my manners.” She turned to Mia, and then her smile returned.
“Welcome, Mia. It’s so good to see you.”
“Thank you, Hayley.” Mia chuckled softly, and then they walked into the VIP lounge, ignoring the eyes that had refused to stop drooling over them.
“Iris is heartbroken. Her boyfriend broke up with her.” Hayley announced, pointing to the table by the right corner.
Someone was seated there quietly, showing the back of her blonde hair to them.
