As if already not passed, mom comes and hit us with this. She isn't going to step down from her position as Luna .

Deciding to not anger myself more, I just looked at her and walked away. Tristan, on the other hand, looked like he was about to blow a gasket.

"We have a bigger problem on our hands other than you not stepping down from your post."

Tristan said.

"What seems to be yhr problem?:.
My father says as he walks into the kitchen.

"One of our own was attacked because we didn't agree to Alpha Kanes' business proposal."

"We thought about going to the council but remembered they dint particularly like us."
Tristan said.

"Hmmm, well, what do you guys have in mind, hiw do.yiu want to deal with the situation?"

"A sit down, and maybe we could come to some sort of agreement."
Tristan said.

"And if that doesn't work ?"
Dad asked

"Then we either go to the council or prepare to fight."

A couple of years ago, our father stepped down from his position, and it was our time to finally step up as Alphas. All the pain from our wolves growing and our bodies expanding to a company there weight and length had finally over.

Like with all Alpha ceremonies we had to invite the members of the council, we made arrangements for them to stay woth us and the pack after all we are one big family.

The idea didn't sit right with the leader Hermine he wasn't pleased at all, infact after breakfast the next morning he burst into our office and demanded for us to send him and his people to a five star hotel.

we denied, and he was past even more. He decided to hold his blessings from us, becoming Alphas. Thank goodness his blessing didn't matter as much as our fathers.

Dad gave us his blessing and his title leaving Hermine passed, once they returned to Paris we received a lengthly letter about how displeased he was with his stay and to nit expect any help from hom or his council members.

That led to me and my brother and I filling for independence of our pack, meaning we weren't any longer under Hermines rule. But, the law of the werewolves still applied, which also meant that we would no longer be receiving funds for our pack.

We have been independent ever since, and we plan on staying that way for a very long time or until he is out of power.

Later that day, we decided to put our tail and distaste between our legs and set a meeting with the council in the next two days.

The quicker we do this, the faster we know how the situation would be dealt with, and being gone for about three while days would mean being away from Sitara and that didn't sit well with me.

The next day, I decided to have a talk with her, mostly about what happened at the movies. Today is my day to spend with her, and Tommorow Tristan would have his day seeing that we leave on Wednesday and wouldn't return till Saturday.

She was standing outside her home when I got there dressed in her uniform and ready to go. I got out of the car and opened the door for her to get in and then took off in the packs hospital direction.

"So about what happened at the movie.."

"It's ok, Alpha. I know you may think my feelings are hurt, and it isn't. I'm actually shocked you broke it off with her. A text was kind of, you know.. chessy, but nevertheless, you broke it off."

"Still, I'm sorry. I didn't like how she disrespected you."

"She is just heartbroken, that's all. Don't worry about it."

"ok."

"So, I take it you have a feeling that something is up because I'm sharing my day with my brother. We are going to seek help from the concil in order to refrain from a full-out war. If that doesn't work, we are going to speak with Kane directly. Hopefully, we can end this peacefully. we leave on Wednesday and hopefully return on Saturday in one piece."


"Would the council help us? The last I remembered is that they aren't too fond of our independence."

"They aren't, but we ate hoping Hermin changed his lovely ways and will be willing to help."

"I highly doubt that."

"Me as well, but I'm still hoping for the best."
We come to a stop outside the hospital, and I open the door for her to come out.

"Have I ever told you how beautiful you look in your uniform? The color white suits you perfectly."

e it when that innocent smile is plastered across her face, she really is perfect.

"Thank you, you really ate a play boy. You have such a way with words."

"A play boy no more. I'm a one girl type of man now, sugar."

she snorts with her little laugh and I all but melt, before she coukd say goodbye I take hold of her face and plaster a quick kiss on her lips, then I jumped into the car and drove off before she coukd stop me.

"Such a pup."

My wolf teased.

I spent most of my afternoon packing, and then I made a quick stop at the bookstore we picked her up from the other night. when we left with her the other night, I noticed ahe was reading a book.


Now the book is not of my taste but it is of hers so I decided to get it for her as a little gift, something to keep her occupied. Her little book friend was more than happy to give me the full collection.

she couldn't stop smiling. All she would say was that she was happy. Sitara had finally found another piece of happiness.

once her shift had enede I got her from the hospital and took her for dinner, woodys was the only place I could think of at the moment and she was more than happy when we arrived there.

Tye food, the smell wvsrythimg about this place is mouth watering. We ordered our food and sat in the car and ate. I have a question to ask, but I just wasn't sure how to ask it.

"So, I wanted to ask you if you would like to move in, I know it's a little to soon and we are still getting to know each other but I just want to keep yiu safe and have you near."

There I said it.

she cleared her throat, and my fright took a hold of me.

"Does Tristan know about this?"

"Am.. he knows of the question, but not that I planned on asking you tonight."

"I would really like that, but maybe we should all sit and talk about it together."

"That sounds like a plan. How about when we come back."

she shakes her head. Yes.

"Ohh, I officially want to invite you Ober to my parents' house on Sunday for dinner."

"Dinner at the Smith's, I'm cool with that. would you be preparing the meal."

" Some of it , mom would be doing the meat, rice, beans, and so on, and I would be baking a cake."

"I can't wait to have a slice of that cake, I love cake.,:

"I feel no pressure what sp ever."

we both laughed, and I wouldn't lie sitting here with her now. It makes me feel complete. After so long of having that empty, lonley,unhappy feeling, I must say I finally feel whole again, and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

After having dinner in the car I took her home where I watched her walk inside her house with the biggest smile on her face, th3 satisfaction of knowing I made her smile that way had butterflies readying to burst my stomach.

The wolf's bond, the mate bond, is truly a blessing.
