Chapter 13: “Let me go with you!!”
Two days later, Uri was almost always " looking at" the phone, whether he was working, taking a shower, going to the toilet, or even sleeping, he set an alarm in case someone called. Anyway, the police have always preferred to work at night. However, there was not any call from Alex or the police department.
Fortunately, Nail didn't come back because he had a business trip. Uri pretended to tell him that Neil was sick, so he couldn't contact him. Nail was suspicious at first, but perhaps because he was too busy, he didn't say anything more.
Because of being so anxious, Uri finally couldn't wait anymore. He decided to go to the police station again.
That afternoon, Uri tried to finish his work and asked Simon's permission to leave work early, then took the bus to the police station.
Standing in front of the police station, Uri felt that today's atmosphere was a bit different. It seemed that the police station was a bit deserted.
"Who are you looking for?"
A sudden voice from behind caused Uri startled. He turned his head. It was a man dressed as a police officer.
Looking at the word "FBI" on his shirt, Uri immediately guessed that this person must be a staff of the police station, and quickly replied: "I... I'm looking for... Alex Dominic, the captain of the FBI task force."
The policeman was a little surprised: "Captain Dominic? What are you looking for him for?"
Uri looked at the policeman's reaction no differently from Donna's the other day, scratching his head and saying, "Nothing... I just wanted to ask him something..."
The policeman looked at him with a suspicious look, then said, "Captain Dominic is not here. He took the task force on duty in the afternoon. You can come back on another day."
Lead the task force on a mission? Is it about Neil?
Thoughts flashed through Uri's mind, "What mission?"
The policeman shook his head and replied, "Sorry, I can't tell."
Uri soon knew the answer, but when he heard the policeman say that, he couldn't help but be disappointed. He sighed slightly, intending to turn his head away, but finally stood there, raising his head to look at the policeman, trying to make a pitiful expression: "Policeman... Uhm... Is there any information about the missing man named Neil Royce? He's my friend..."
"Neil Royce?" The policeman mumbled softly, "Ah, is that the guy from the missing case?"
"Missing case?" Uri, filled with doubt, asked back.
The policeman nodded slightly, and couldn't help but chat: "There are many people also mysteriously missing. The common point is that they all appear in places where people say they have seen Vampires. The investigating bureau has decided to include the above cases in a case of continuous kidnapping. Captain Dominic is directly leading the investigation of this case."
Uri froze for a moment, not expecting things to be so serious.
If so, is Neil still safe?
Alex directly investigated this case, so he must have known something.
Why not notify him?
Uri thought about this, feeling a bit pitiful.
"I heard the location of the abductees has been located..."
This statement from the policeman pulled Uri away from his thoughts, his eyes immediately lit up, hastily asking again: "Rea... Really?"
That now the policeman realized that he had slipped off his tongue and quickly shook his head: "Sorry, I don't..."
"What are you doing here?" A cold voice suddenly rang out, making both Uri and the policeman jump at the same time.
Uri turned around, saw Alex approaching, without hesitation, rushed to grab his sleeve, and quickly asked, "Found... found my friend?"
"Get your hand off." Alex raised his eyebrows and held out his hand, "Where did you hear it?"
Alex's gaze quickly moved to the policeman standing behind. The policeman felt his eyes, swallowed, and did not dare to say any words.
"Why don't you tell me?" Uri clenched his sleeve.
Alex didn't answer, only said: "Come back."
Uri pursed his lips, bowing his head: "Did you not intend to inform me from the beginning, did you?"
Alex didn't respond this time.
Uri looked at the ground, took a deep breath, and continued: "I just want... to know information about Neil... He's my only close friend..."
"...."
"You obviously agreed that day too..." Uri said and looked up at Alex. The corners of his eyes were red.
Right now, Uri felt like his trust was betrayed. He had expected Alex to announce something to him, but he didn't even contact him once.
Alex was startled for a moment, for the first time in his life he didn't know what to do.
"I'm so busy, I don't have time to announce it." Alex quickly responded with a temporary excuse.
Uri pursed his lips and looked at him with an "I don't believe" expression. No one is so busy that they don't have time to make a phone call, just don't want to or not.
Alex calmly looked again at him.
The reason he gave was not wrong. The past two days of investigating the kidnapping case had made him up to his ears that he didn't have time to come home. Uhm, but it's true that he didn't really intend to call this person because he didn't feel important. Anyway, waiting until Neil Royce and the others are found and then informing him is no problem.
"Rhhhhhh!!!!!!"
The sudden ringing of the phone broke the silence between the two. Alex looked away, quickly picking up the phone.
"What's up? Okay, gather forces, call in more reinforcements from the Sniper Team, and ask to block all roads out of the city... Do not act arbitrarily. Wait for my orders!"
Alex hung up the phone, glanced at Uri once, said nothing, and turned to leave. But before his feet could touch the ground, Uri caught his hand.
"Leave me!" Alex turned his head with warning eyes.
"You let... me come with..." Uri snorted, clutching his sleeve.
"Leave me!" Alex repeated, his face growing impatient.
The policeman standing behind had begun to take a deep breath of cold air, slowly moving away from the two, but Uri still stubbornly shook his head: "I'm not going to entangle your feet! Let me go with you..."
Alex's face began to become unsightly, he growled: "I count to 3 if you don't take your hand..."
Before Alex finished his sentence, he felt his whole body being hugged. Uri closed his eyes tightly, and hugged him with all his strength, almost shouting: "No! I'm not leaving unless you let me go with you!"
Alex was stiff, all the procrastination for a moment was gone. He swore that if here wasn't in front of the police station, the person in front of him would not have been intact.
Uri's voice was not small, and immediately attracted the attention of passersby and the staff of the police station.
A rare silver-haired man, handsome but cold-faced, was being hugged by another man. The boy was almost in the man's lap. Not to mention the silver-gray Maybach car that glows on the side... This scene, just imagining it, is too stimulating, let alone seeing it directly.
The staff of the police station, seeing this scene, immediately put on a face that was both surprised and frightened, mixed with a bit of curiosity.
There was only one thought in their minds right now: The boy will die!"
"What's that? Is the lover arguing?"
"Do you make a movie?"
"I wish I could hug that silver-haired man too! He's so handsome!"
"In broad daylight, hugging each other like that? It's overdone!"
The passerby constantly whispered, whoever passed could not help but look at the two at least once.
Alex's face is now instantly can kill person. He glared at the passersby with murderous eyes, then turned to look at the staff of the police station. Everyone who met his eyes couldn't help but feel spine-chilling, and hurriedly left as if nothing had happened. Those who are very brave give Alex a wry smile, then also frantically leave.
No more peering eyes, Alex just grabbed Uri's collar to pull it off, but Uri seemed to have glue on his body that stuck to him. He grabbed Alex's shirt with all his strength, both hands being squeezed so hurt. Uri said in a pleading tone: "Let me... go... with you, please..."
Alex closed his eyes tightly and swore softly in his head. He took a deep breath, trying to stop the power in his palm. About 10 seconds later, he opened his eyes and said in a cold voice: "Get in the car!"
"Huh?!" Uri opened his eyes in surprise and raised his head. From an eye's view, he only saw Alex's delicate chin, with a few spots of black beard.
"Don't let me change my mind!"
"OK! OK! I know!" Uri realized that he agreed, nodded, quickly removed his hands from his body, and stepped back. Now, he sees Alex's unsightly face, swallowing, and can only utter two words: "Sorry..."
Alex didn't look at Uri, and went to open the car door. Uri hurriedly ran after him, also quickly opened the car door and got in as if afraid Alex would break his word and leave him.
Five seconds later, the Maybach was left with only white smoke.
"Huh? Is that person with Captain Dominic? How?"
"I'm sure he's dead! I couldn't even look Alex in the face."
"Who is that person? Captain Dominic's acquaintance?"
"...."
Very quickly, the news that "Iceberg Dominic hugs a boy right in front of the police department" quickly spread throughout the police department.
