Chapter 11: Staying Away from You

It was already 1 o'clock and everybody went to sleep. Sara's mother told her that Farhan's family will be leaving early tomorrow, and she has to go drop them at the airport because her mother couldn't take another day off from her job. So, she told her that she's gonna have to take a leave from school tomorrow. She was happy because then she could meet Aaron after she drops them.

Ayesha told her, “Go to sleep now and I'll call you around 7 and their flight is around 11. So, that they have enough time to check-in and be safe on time.”

Sara replied, “Alright, don't worry. I always wake up early, so don't have to call me.” She opens the door, and her mother looks at her, “I'm going for a walk.”

Ayesha reminded her, “But you have to wake up early tomorrow.”

“I always do, mom.” She shuts the door behind her and goes outside. She sees that her mother opens the door, “What is it, now?”

Ayesha told her, “I just want to tell you that I'm going to sleep, too. I have to wake up early too and do you have the house keys because I'm gonna lock the door?”

Sara angrily, “Yeah, mom. I do.” She was mad now because her mother was asking her so many questions when she was eager to meet Aaron.

Ayesha worriedly, “And don't go too far, just stay near the street.”

Sara calmed herself, “Don't worry, mom. I'll be here and safe. I've got my cell phone on me and if something happens, I'll call you. Okay, now can I walk?”

Ayesha smiled, “Yeah.”

She closed the door and locks it. Sara sees the house lights turn off. She goes to the end of the street and Aaron wasn't there. She calls him and he doesn't answer. She calls him again and again, but he doesn't answer his phone. She was so mad that she got the time now and he's not there. She thought that maybe he got drunk, and he forgot that he was supposed to meet her. As time went by, she got madder, and she decided that she'll go inside. She saw his car coming down the street, so she started walking toward the house because she waited for him for almost half an hour. He parked his car to the side and ran after her.

Aaron grabbed her from the arm, “Hey, look. I'm really sorry. My friends held me there, so I couldn't go come earlier. I'm so sorry.

Sara angrily, “just go to your friend. I've been waiting here just for you and you come late. What if my parents wouldn't let me come out? Then?”

“I said sorry. Plus, I waited for you for almost all day the other day, and now you”, she interrupted him, “So, you wanted to take revenge.”

Aaron confused, “Revenge? Come on, I said I'm sorry. Are we going to waste our night like this?” She thought about that and sat down on the street where she was standing. “We're gonna sit here.”

Sara told him, “You got a better place to sit.”

“Yeah, my car?” Aaron held his hand out for her to get up and Sara gets up holding his hand. They walked to Aaron's car holding each other’s hands.

Sara asked, “Can I ask you something?” He opens the door for her, but she doesn't get in and waits for him to answer.

Aaron still holding her hand and looking at it, then he looked at her. “Sure.”

“Do you love me?” Sara looking in his eyes and he was looking at her with the same feelings that she had for him.

Aaron responded, “More than my life and I will love you till my last breath. Can I ask you something?”

Sara smiled, “Yeah?”

Aaron hesitating, “What if you have to”, he was saying it slowly every word, “chose one your family or me, then who would you chose?”

Sara avoiding his question, “How about if we get in the car because I'm cold now.”

Aaron asked again, “You didn't answer my question.”

Sara told him, “Why don't you ask me a different question?”

Aaron said, “No, I didn't ask you to change your question, then why are you asking me?” Sara leans up to kiss him, but he takes his head back, so she doesn't kiss him. “You've to answer my question.”

Sara: swallowed, “Okay, then. Here is my answer, but you'll have to understand why I chose that okay.”

Aaron smiled, “Alright, so that means you'll pick your family.”

Sara hesitated first, then she said, “yeah, it because they.” He interrupted her, “I don't any explanation. Just get in the car.” He walks to the driver's side and sits, but Sara was still standing outside. “Come on, get in the car. You're not cold anymore?” She doesn't say anything and gets in the car. He drives away and Sara was confused that where he was taking her.

Sara asked, “Where are we going?”

Aaron was serious, “I'm kidnapping you.”

Sara told him, “Stop joking around, just take me back home.” She was scared now because if her mother came out to look for her and she wasn't there.

“I'm not joking, I'm serious.” Aaron was driving so fast that they were already far away from Sara's house. He wasn't looking at her and she was afraid.

Sara was scared, “Aaron, please, stop the car. This is not time for playing games. I know that I made you wait all day yesterday, but I'm sorry. Please, take me back home. I want to go home.” He wasn't saying anything. “Look, Aaron. I can't leave my parents and”, then she thought about that when he asked her to leave everybody and go with him to the club. “Please, just stop the car right now. Are you listening to me, Aaron? Just stop the car or else I'll kill you,” screaming.

Aaron smiling, “you've already killed me with your beauty. So, how you're gonna kill me again?”

Sara still scared, “Stop joking around.” Finally, he stopped the car, and it was a house. Sara thought maybe it was his house. She was scared because what if her parents went out looking for her? He gets out of the car and opens Sara's door. She gets out of the car too.

Aaron told her, “This is my house for right now. I mean as long as I'm staying here. When you'll come to stay with me, then I'll take you to my official home, which is in California.”

Sara smiled, “Oh, this is your home. Okay. I think we should go now.”

Aaron asked, “You don't wanna come inside.” She says it immediately, “No.”

Aaron grabs her, “you have to go inside with me.”

Sara resisted, “But I can't.” He takes her hand and walks toward the house. He stops walking and stands outside the door. “What happened, now?”

Aaron told her, “I won't take you inside like this?”

She didn't understand what he was talking about, she thought maybe she was wearing regular clothes, jeans, and tops. “What?” Then he took her in his arms and opens the door with his right hand, “Put me down. What are you doing? Just put me down.”

Aaron laughing, “Not until you see the whole house in my arms.”

Sara laughing at his craziness, “What? You're gonna get tired.”

Aaron told her, “No, I won't. You don't weigh a lot and I love holding you in my arms.”

“Oh, I see.” Then she held him around his neck like a rope and he was smiling at her. She smiled back at him and her dimple appeared. He showed the whole house, and it was a mansion. She thought that he must be very rich, that's why he had this mansion. “Your house is a mansion, then you must be very rich.” Aaron smiled.

Aaron said, “I'll take that as a compliment and let me tell you something.” She was looking at him, “When you smile and your dimple appears, it really kills me.” She smiles and he kisses her, where her dimple appeared again.

Sara changed the subject and asked him a stupid question, “No, tell me. Are you rich? Well, I heard from people that you're very rich and stuff like that, but I want to know everything about you more than people know. I want to know you inside and out.” She regrets it saying that because she thought that he might take it in the wrong way, which he did.

Aaron comes closer, “So, you want to know me inside and out. I see, you wanna see me without clothes?” Still holding her in his arms.

“Shut up.” She slapped him on his chest.

Aaron smiled, “Ouch!”

Sara explained to him, “I didn't mean that. I want to know everything about you and your family.”

Aaron teasing again, “Oh, my bad luck.”

Now Sara teasing him and winked, “Maybe, you'll get lucky if you tell me everything about yourself.” He doesn't say anything.

Aaron puts her down, “and this is my room, no let me correct myself. Our room.” It made butterflies in her stomach and she smiled.

Sara walking around, “So, this is your room. I see. It's very big.”

“Yeah, we can fit in it.” Sara laughed and she went to look around the room. She was standing by the big window where you could see the sunshine in the morning. She saw Aaron behind her in the window. He leaned down and kissed her on the shoulder. Her heart started beating so fast that she could not think of anything else, but to run away from the room. She closed her eyes and stayed quiet. He puts his right hand around her neck and kisses her head. He moves his hand, and her eyes were still closed. She heard his voice from far away. “Do you like the room?” She opened the eyes and saw that he was laying on his bed.

Sara whispering, “Yeah, it's very beautiful. The whole house is beautiful.”

Aaron gets up, “Not more than you. You're the most beautiful girl on earth. I love you so much”. He puts his hands around her face and kisses her softly for few seconds and then let's go before she could even kiss him back. She looked around the room and he was staring at her.

Sara looks at a notebook, “What is this?” It was his dairy.

Aaron looked at the notebook, “Oh that. It's my dairy.”

Sara puts it back, “Oh I see.”

Aaron asked him, “Don't you want to read it? I wrote my feelings about you.”

Sara told him, “No, I don't want to read it because it's your feelings and I don't have the right to,” he interrupts her.

“You have every right on me and my things. This dairy is not important than you. You can read it.” She still doesn't open it. “Alright, how about if you just read the poem that I wrote about you?”

Sara so confused, “You wrote a poem about me, when? You’re a poet?” He opens the page where he wrote the poem.

Aaron told her, “I'm not a poet or anything like that. It was my first time writing a poem.” He sits on his bed and asks for Sara's hand to sit next to him. She sits next to him and he puts his arms around her and holds the dairy. “I want you to read it aloud and I want to know what you think about this.”

Sara was so surprised and happy, “It's so beautiful,” she was so touched by this and gives him a kiss on his cheeks. “But you have so many complains about lots of things.”

Aaron smiled, “yes because without you, I'm nothing. I just want to be with you all the time.”

Sara asked him, “What if you get bored of me?”

Aaron holding her face in his hands, “I love you and you're not a thing that I will get bored of, you're my soul mate.”

Sara laughing, “where do you learn to say these things?”

Aaron not understanding, “What things?”

Sara explained, “like soulmate?” He moves his hands around her.

Aaron told her, “only that person can understand who is in love and who knows what love means. When they find their true love, then these words come to them own their own.”

Sara laughing, “You're funny.”

Aaron kissing on her forehead, “But you're amazing and you know what it's true because loving you is not easy.”

She was looking in his eyes, they were still sleeping next to each other. She puts her right hand on his face to touch him to see if she wasn't dreaming because how can someone love somebody so much. She puts the dairy away and kisses him. He kisses her back. They were kissing each other so madly that Sara didn't even think what she was doing. They lay on the bed while kissing each other and he was on top of her. He kissed her on her lips, then her dimple, and then down on the chin close to the ear, then went down to her neck kissing her. When she turned on the side and saw her bracelet that her parents gifted her, which made her think that whatever was happening was wrong. She immediately stopped kissing him and gets up.

Aaron asked, “What happened?” She had her back on him.

Sara looking at the phone, “It's too late. I need to go home, now.” He didn't say anything else but agreed with her.

“OK. I'll take you home.” He took the car keys and opens the door. “let's go.” She doesn't look up to see him. She doesn't say anything neither Aaron. He drove her home quietly and she was home. She opens the door, “Listen, I love you no matter what,” he told her.

“I love you, too.” She kisses him and runs to her house. She saw him drive away and saw that the house lights were still off.
