I’m glad that we were able to send Heaven to the hospital before it gets late. It’s weird because we were shot in the same location and being in that situation, I hope that he can recover too the way I did.
There is an awkward silence while Stone and I are waiting in this private room for Heaven to be sent here. He’s currently at the emergency room but the doctor said that he’ll be here anytime soon so we were advised to just wait here.
After what Stone admitted to me, I can’t help but to feel awkward around him.
FLASHBACK
“Hans?” I heard a familiar voice call my name.
I don’t know what to feel about that. Did he really save us or did he act to save us just to convince us that he’s trying to make it up on us?
And how did he know about this location? Isn’t it suspicious that he instantly knew we’re here without anyone telling him of our location? I guess it’s already the proof that he’s associated with the men who abducted us.
“Stay away from me,” I commanded him.
He didn’t listen and continued on walking on our direction.
“I said stay away from me, Stone!” I shouted for him to listen.
“I’m helping you, Hans. We need to get out now,” he said as if he’s on the rush and removed the blindfold and the handcuffs on me.
I glared at him to make him feel my madness. He looked so confused on why am I acting like this.
“Are you happy now?” I asked him. “Heaven was shot already. Congrats!” I sarcastically told him.
I stayed on my seat because it is obvious that he’s expecting that I will move after he freed me.
“What are you talking about?” He asked curiously.
“Stop acting innocent, Stone. Your people have spoken,” I informed him. “It’s just the two of us here so stop with your act and show me the real you,” I added to dare him.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he insisted. “We need to hurry. Heaven will lose his life if we don’t act right now!”
“Exactly what you wanted, right? Celebrate now! You already won!” I kept on giving him sarcastic replies because he deserves all the madness right now.
“I really don’t know what you’re talking about,” he sounded so clueless and hopeless but now that I’m convinced that he’s a great actor, I won’t believe in that.
“How did you know that we’re here?” I asked him. It’s so impossible for him to find us instantly but he did.
He remained silent after that question which proves my speculations.
“See? Stop acting, Stone. I told you – your people have spoken,” I said before I stood up to go to Heaven’s location now. “Do me a favour and stay away from us!” I asked him and started walking towards Heaven’s location but he stopped me.
“It’s not what you think! Let me explain,” he asked but I am already convinced.
“Don’t need to explain. Just stay away from us. Please!” I answered and emphasized the word please for him to finally stop meddling with us.
“Hans! I don’t have anything to do with this, okay?” He insisted. I’m already starting to believe that he is innocent right now but my mind kept on reminding me that I shouldn’t.
“Then answer me! How did you know that we’re here?” I asked him for the second time.
“We were members of this gang and they know about our issue with Heaven and his squad. Just last week, we decided to end our relationship with this gang and they got so mad because of our withdrawal but since we wanted to reconcile with you guys, we pushed through with the it,” he explained and I kept on listening because it sounded so true. I guess he’s really telling the truth right now. “They warned us that we should be ready. We were okay because we know for a fact that we can handle them. If they decide to come back to us for leaving them, we can fight back to defend ourselves,” he continued.
I can feel the sincerity in his voice so I’m starting to believe that it’s true.
“But we didn’t expect that they’ll involve you, guys. I feel so bad because they did. You know – I kept on wishing a while ago that it wasn’t you whom they chose to get back on but I had that feeling already. My first instinct was to go here to check if you are here and I was right. I don’t know if I can manage to fight for you but if I don’t, I know that your life will be at stake because I know how impatient these people are. I was supposed to ask for back up but when I entered here, he got his gun pointed at you already so my first instinct was to get him first,” I felt the struggle he has to go through just to save us and I’m now convinced that he’s really not the villain here. “You know, Hans – you are important for me. Ever since we were young, you are already important in my life. I never wanted to hurt you. That’s why I kept on blaming myself after we lost you because I didn’t protect you enough. You have no idea how much I hated myself for choosing to stay with Ice not knowing that she caused your lost. And that’s the reason why I hated Fire so much. I already made the wrong choice of choosing Ice so I felt like forgiving Fire for that matter will only make me accept that we lost you because of them. You are that important, Hans. Even amidst you not being here, I chose the things that will make me feel that I’m doing it for you. That’s how much I love you.”
I didn’t know how to react from that. I felt that it’s real especially because his tears fell after saying that and I felt guilty because I accused him of something he didn’t do.
“I know that this isn’t the right time for me to say these things. I’m really sorry,” he apologized and wiped his tears. “I just don’t want to lose you again because you think that I’m an enemy.”
