Side Story 2-5
Side Story 2-5
Operation Woo Linda is in full swing, and I'm pulling out all the stops to win her back. Flowers, stuffed animals, and chocolates have been delivered to both her work and home, each one a carefully chosen symbol of my affection and regret. But I know that actions speak louder than words, and I'm ready to take the next step to show her just how serious I am about us.
As I stand in front of her door, my heart pounds in my chest, a mix of anticipation and nervousness coursing through my veins. I've called and texted for weeks, but she hasn't responded, leaving me feeling highly uncertain. I know I fucked up, big time. Ignoring her and then letting her see me out with another omega was a mistake, one that I deeply regret. But I'm here now, ready to put in the work to make things right.
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever reaction she might have. The worst she can do is shut the door in my face, and even that would be a step closer to getting her to see me. It's a Friday, so there's a chance she might not even be home, but I'm taking that risk, driven by the hope that this might be the turning point in our relationship.
As I raise my hand to knock, I can't help but feel a sense of determination wash over me. I know that I have my work cut out for me, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make her see that we are good for each other. At least, I know she's good for me, and I'm not ready to let her go without a fight.
The door creaks open, and there she is, her eyes widening in surprise as she takes in my presence. I offer her a small, hopeful smile, my voice steady as I say, "Linda, can we talk?"
She takes a step back as if it finally dawns on her that it's me at the door. Her mouth is in a perfect circle.
"Levi? What brings you here? What do you want to talk about?"
I clear my throat, "May I come in? I fear I have some explaining and groveling to do."
She stares at me for another moment before she steps back and gestures for me to come in. I walk inside and close the door behind me.
She backs up into the living room, and I follow. She takes a seat on the couch, and I sit on the couch adjacent.
Once seated, I dive right into the conversation. "First, I want to say how sorry I am."
She looks at me blankly for a moment, then says, "What exactly are you sorry for, Levi?"
"I'm sorry for ignoring your calls and texts. I'm sorry you had to see me all over another omega. I'm sorry I haven't shown you the best version of myself."
She nods, "Anything else?"
"I'm sorry most of all for causing you pain. I never meant to hurt you. When I saw that I did, I felt pain myself. That let me know that you are more important to me than I acknowledged, even to myself."
She nods again, then she stands moving over until she's in front of me. "I forgive you, Levi. Only because I care about you too much not to see where things can go between us."
"I feel like we have the chance to build something special, something strong and uniquely us."
I reach out and grab her hands, "I feel the same way, Linda. I want us to build something long-lasting."
"You changed me, you made me want to be a better person than I have been. I've always been a Casanova, sleeping around with anyone who would have me. You make me want to be different. No one has ever made me feel the way you do. Thank you for giving us a chance." I say it, meaning it with my whole heart.
I can't believe I ever questioned just how much she meant to me. It seems she snatched up my whole heart, and now I don't want it back. Yeah, I know how sappy that sounds.
But I can't help it, it's true.
She sits next to me on the couch, and we catch up on everything that's been going on in each other's lives. I tell her about what happened with Liam and how that kinda caused me to spiral a little.
I wasn't totally myself when I've been making decisions of late.
She expressed her sympathies for the situation, tears falling down her face in her sorrow for Liam.
I hugged her closer to me, "He didn't deserve that happening to him, and now I can only hope that he's working through it in a positive manner."
She nods, "Me too, I wish I could hug him right now, to let him know how so, so sorry I am that that happened to him."
I sigh, "I wish I could hug him just because, but he needs time to get back to himself, for himself."
She smiles sadly, "I'm sure he'll be back as soon as he feels like he's ready."
I chuckle, thinking about lighter things. Linda gives me a puzzled look, "What?"
"I have a client. He declares that he's Spanish. So he'll start yelling how he wants us to do something for his case today, but then he yells "mañana", so we're all in there trying not to laugh out loud at this bozo as his Spanish ass walks around yelling the wrong Spanish word for 'today'. And he's just oh so proud about it!"
I chuckle again, smiling widely as the musical sound of Linda's laugh joins mine.
I turn and look at her, "Have you eaten dinner yet?"
She shakes her head, almost shy about it.
I smirk when I see the blush pinken her skin, making her look oh so delectable.
I groan, shifting in my seat as I feel my dick pressing against my zipper. Not right now, not right now.
"Do you wanna go grab dinner and a movie with me? We'll go to the theater and they'll serve us a meal while we watch the movie. How's that sound?"
She nods excitedly, "I'd love that!" she says enthusiastically. She slides some shoes on her feet and grabs her purse and keys. Turning to me, she says, "I'm ready when you are."
I smile and walk past her to the door. I step outside, waiting for her to follow me.
She steps outside, and I know the exact moment that she notices my car because she lets out a low whistle, "Nice car!"
"What are the chances of me ever getting to drive that bad boy?"
I look at my car, then turn and look at her, "Um, they're pretty slim to none." I say, chuckling.
She pouts, "Is there any way I could change your mind?"
I lean in and kiss her pouted lips lightly before I pull away. "Nope, mind's all set."
She gives me a deeper pout, even going so far as to cross her arms at me. I just chuckle at her behavior; she's so childish.
I open the passenger door for her to get in the car, and all I hear are oohhs and aahhs as she slides into the car.
I shake my head, walking around the car and getting behind the wheel.
I drive us the twenty minutes to the movie theater, running around to open her door after I park. We go into the theater, and I let her pick the movie. She ends up picking a romantic comedy.
We go into the theater and order our food as soon as the previews start.
Our food comes five minutes after the movie starts. We eat happily and enjoy the movie, and I even laugh at some parts.
I look over at Linda as she laughs at one of the funny parts. I sit there and revel in her beauty. I'm so grateful I got a second chance to be here.
