Chapter 150 Farewell (2)
Alessia's POV
We remain like that for a few short minutes until I sense the power going dormant once more. Whoever it is has changed his mind. I suspect Orzo, he is the sneakiest wizard in this coven.
It's time I nipped this in the bed “ Frederic you cannot-” before I can continue Luca slowly steps in between them “Frederic that is enough.” His voice is no nonsense and deep “We are leaving,we will not indulge you here.”
“Not now, Not ever” I add silently
Frederic steps back “Well for what it's worth” he says quietly “I do hope you are able to succeed”
I feel his gaze on me but I dont look up “So do I..”
He returns to the rest of the coven as Indie steps forward and gives me a hug I wasn't expecting she whispers into my ears fiercily.
“ I only stand with her because she rules the coven for now, make sure you return.”
For now.
Her words send a chilling realisatiin down my spine.
She knows change us coming
I Always knew she likes me I was right about her
She lets go of me and I watch her step back in line with the others “I will”
Melissa walks forward and she gives me a firm handshake, I accept I didn't expect more from her as we are not close.
While Thano remains in line giving me a single perfunctory nod. She does not deep me worth giving a proper farewell.

Orzo speaks again “Journey Mercies Princess Alessia ,May Natura be with you” he says “End the chaos He started.”
I tilt my head at him “Thank you” .Orzo seems almost genuine, almost but then he just wants me out of their hair so his wife can continue ruling in peace. While I go deal with Thomas!

“That is for sure” Luca answers
I take a brief look at all the members of the high council then at my people.

Somewhere along the line Injas started to refer to them as my own. Do I know when? Know but I know I will definitely be back to right some wrongs and make their lives easier as much as I can its the least I can do being their Last princess.
“This is where we say goodbye for now ” I say clearly, My gaze roving around the crowd lovingly exchanging smiles and nods. I whisper “thank you” to a Mara as she stands aside near the lemon tree with three servants. She ran a very tight shop and kept us fed, rooms clean and beds made at all times.
She bows in return giving me a sheepish smile. “Thank you for being gracious hosts, I will see you all again.”
No one says a word in response or argues. One by one they start to bow their heads in reverence, in respect, in solidarity. As we take a look one more time we turn around and face our waiting SUV’s Lucy walks up and whispers on my ear
“They can feel the shift” she murmurs “They know a change is coming”
Even I can feel it but I say nothing..
The truth of the matter is.
You cannot outrun your destiny.
I was made to lead this coven.
One day, I just might.
We take slow measures steps towards the cars. My heart is throbbing loudly in my ears, pulse racing out of control. Power stirring gently responding to my emotions.
I pause for a second, Am I really ready to face La Geneva? Will we succeed? Will we get La Rosa? I am overwhelmed by doubts and as I am about to take a step back-. Alex as if he can feel my raising hysterics steps up to the front to get my door “Remember Cara Mia you are not alone, After you ” I stare at him for a long while as if he has grown two heads. He says nothing and does not try to force me into the car. He understands that I need to take this last step on my own. Taking a steely breath, I turn around to take one last loving look at my Majestic coven. The white stone structure seems even more endearing now that I have spent time inside with my people. My witches and wizards are all still bowing ad I step into the car. Alex shuts the door behind me and walks to the other side to slide in. I watch quietly as Licy, Luca and Angelica slide into the second car. Luca leaning over to whisper something into her ears as she burst out laughing. Turning around to Alex he catches my gaze. His eyes full of understanding “ We will be back to see your people this isn't goodbye” I squeeze his hand giving him a sad smile “I know Alex, I know it's still so hard to say goodbye.”
He leans over giving me quick chaste kiss on my lips “That is okay Cara Mia we await your call we won't move until you are ready.” Once again I am taken aback by how patient he is with me and loving. Is it out bond? Is he more attuned to my emotions now? Whatever it is I really lucked out. Staring into his dark eyes that hold nothing but peace and love I finally let go of it all, the worries, the doubts, the fear, I feel the tension starting to ease out of my body but by bit. Inching towards him I rest my head on his shoulders letting his warmth wash over me.
“Alex, Please tell the driver to proceed” Turning towards the window I take one last look as Alex ordered the driver to move as we slowly proceed out of the courtyard.
This journey is far from over…
It is just beginning and I am taking an important detour. But no matter where my path takes me .I carry this in my heart:
I am and shall always remain-The last living descendant of Natura and The last princess of La Casa.
