Chapter 8
Lila's POV:
Turns out, it was from the judges. The door opened and a group of boys walked in. I squinted and realized it was the rest of the Sparks! No way! Did Chad invite the rest of them? Even more goosebumps. They walked to the very front and took their seats there, with Chad staring directly at me. I recognized the rest of them but I noticed they weren't complete.
"It's okay now. She can continue." Chad said. The judge nodded once and beckoned to me. I pursed my lips and sucked in air. Closing my eyes, I let the music play again and I let my body flow to the beat. It didn't take long for me to forget that I was in front of prying judges or that I had every girl boy band crush in front of me.

Chad's POV:
"Didn't think you would come." I said to Nico as we watched Lila dance.
"We had to. The penthouse was getting awfully boring." He replied.
"Who's she? You know her from somewhere?" Min ho asked.
"Is her hair real? It's quite long." Jayden commented.
"Yep. I do. Her name's Lila."
"Lila? Never heard of her." Nico muttered, picking up his phone to probably search for her.
"That's because she's new here." I replied, and he stared at me.
"Oh…" He muttered.
"Wow, she really cool. It's like she's done that choreography a dozen times." Min ho commented.
"You think she has a shot?" I asked no one in particular.
"Maybe. They would still be trained, right?" Jayden asked.
"Yeah."
"Well, she has a shot. We probably must've have found a good replacement."
Just like I thought, I said to myself. I glanced around and saw the Beamer girls seated, Ximena among. When did they arrive? Soon Lila's performance ended, and she stood, taking in deep breaths. From the judges' looks, I'm guessing she must've impressed them. Well, my job here is done, I thought as I stood up and left, the rest of guys coming after me.

Lila's POV:
I watched as the Sparks stood up and left. Oh God, did I do terrible? Well, I wouldn't know until the judges say something.
"Lila Walker." Mira began. "That was pretty impressive."
"Thank you." I muttered, bowing.
"Well, every one of the contestants who came for the auditions will have to wait while the judges and board members deliberate on who will become the next Beamer girl. You can leave now." She said.
Huh? Does that mean we won't be getting answers today? Oh boy. I bowed one last time and hurried backstage while the next contestants were being called in.
Some girls came towards me.
"Hi, name's Zoey. You were amazing out there."
"Thanks a lot. My name's Lila."
"Soo… Lila, which dancing school did you attend?" She asked, and I raised my brows.
"I attended no dance school. Why did you ask?"
"You didn't? So how did you learn to dance like that" Zoey asked surprised.
"I just let myself flow to the beat. I'm really. sorry but I have to go. Maybe if we're lucky, we could be the chosen ones and we'll be able to talk a lot more." I said and left her there.
I changed to the clothes I wore before and made to leave. I don't know how much time had gone, and I needed to get out of here if I wanted to get to Sir Patrick's club early. I backed into my bag and made to leave. On my way out, I spotted Conner. Sorry Chad and the gang. Out of gratitude, I went over there.
"Um, hello." I called out, and he turned and smiled. I still can't believe I'm talking to him. I clutched my bag tighter.
"Oh, hi. You're already leaving?"
"Ye…es. Thank you very much for today, sir." I muttered, bowing my head.
"No biggie." He replied and I nervously tucked some unseen hair behind my ears. The rest of the guys were staring at me. Oh great. Chad saw my nervousness and tried to help me out of it.
"Hmm Lila, meet the guys…"
"I know their names." I whispered, and he made an 'o' expression. "I'm your fan, remember?" Then to the rest of them I made a small wave. They just kept staring back and forth at the both of us. Once again, we ran out of words.
"You should be going." Chad said after a while…
"Yeah. Right. Definitely. Bye." I rushed and sped out of the scene. Once I got outside, I stopped and squealed excitedly. Today is the best day of my life! I brought out my phone to check the time. Seeing that I had limited time left to make it to Sir Patrick's, I quickly boarded a cab and drove there. I really hope I get picked so I can stop doing this.

Chad's POV:
I stared at Lila's retreating figure until she was well out of a sight. Then I glanced at the boys, who had strange looks on their faces.
"What?"
Nico was the first to come closer to me. Leaning to my ear, he whispered.
"Do you, by any chance, have a crush on her?"
"No!" I muttered. He raised his brows. I scoffed and held my hands together.
"I know what you guys are thinking, but I definitely do not have a crush on her. I mean, we just met!"
"When did you guys meet?" Min ho asked.
"I'm not telling you." I replied.
"He's keeping secrets. He definitely has a crush on her." Jayden stressed.
"Why wouldn't he? I mean, she's pretty and a great dancer too plus, it's been a long time since Chad had any activity going." Nico said, as he wrapped a hand around my shoulders. I shrugged them off.
"When you guys are done talking, you sure know your way back to the penthouse. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a golden card to deactivate so I can get a new one reissued. See you guys at home." I announced and left them as they stared at me.
I have a crush on Lila. What a joke.

Ximena's POV:
I was in my mum's office, singing and sipping wine, when she walked in with documents with her.
"Hey Mom. What's popping?" I asked as I lowered the mp3 player.
She slammed the documents on the table and glared at me.
"Do we seriously have to go through this stress?"
"What is it, mom? I drawled, gulping the remaining contents in the cup.
"This audition stuff. Why don't you just take Alya back. The doctor said she wasn't that hurt and she'll be able to dance perfectly."
I scoffed, this conversation again.
"Look, mom, I don't want Alya back. That girl is too disrespectful. Besides, we met a couple good girls today. We don't want to raise their hopes to dash it down in the mud, do we?"
"It's not like they are official yet." She muttered.
"Fact is, I don't want Alya back. We should look into those girls. I especially have eyes on that one named… What's her name again? Lila? Yes, Lila. I think she'll make a great girl member. As for Alya, I don't want her back. She can go to hell for all I care."
My mom looked at me with this exasperated look on her face. I shrugged it off and continued with my music. Slowly she slumped on her seat and sighed. I wonder what's wrong with her lately.

Unknown POV:
I was in a meeting with the board of directors and when my secretary knock and without waiting for a reply walked in. She came straight to me with a phone.
"What is it?" I asked, displeasure in my tone.
"She called." My secretary said simply. I stopped what I was doing and took an excuse from the meeting. She gave me the phone.
I picked it up and called her.
"I've tried, she won't change her mind."
"Make her." I began, then added. "Or I'll be forced do to what I don't want to do."
"Don't you dare." She gritted through the phone. I smirked.
"Try me." I muttered coldly and cut off the phone. Giving the phone back to my secretary, I instructed her.
"If she calls again, do not pick it up or give me. Understood?"
"Yes sir."
"Good. You may go." I said and returned to the meeting.
