Chapter 23

Sebastian’s POV

Mark is heading back from the Light Coven, he’s message sounded important. ‘Found where they are but we can’t get there. Need to come up with a plan to lure them out.’

I pace back and forth. Why can’t we get there? Why do we need to Lure them out? What isn’t he telling me? **“You need to face it; Jonathon is a grown man and can make he’s own choices,”** Benji tells me. **“He’s a fucking idiot” “You can’t make someone do what you want them to do”** he growls. **“Are you going to help me or not?”** I yell back at him. **“Not”** he says and slinks to the back of my mind.

Mark enters the room. “Well?” I ask him. “They’re 100 miles south, but we can’t get to them.” “Why? What’s so special about their territory to make it unreachable?” I questioned; getting more pissed than I already am. “According to Cecily, they have a protective barrier around their territory. No one can enter unless invited. There’s more” I stop pacing and look at my brother. “They have allies. I’m not sure how many before you ask.”

“Are you sure it’s them?” He hands me some photos; looking at each of them, my eyes narrowing on the picture of Jonathon and Olivia. “Fucken hell. That slut’s marked him!” I scream, throwing the photos across the room.

“How can we get invited then?” “I am thinking, we can’t; we need to Lure them out somehow. Jonny’s still not answering your texts?” he questioned. “No, I think he blocked me and Seb” Aubrey says, picking up the photos and moves from the corner of the room.

“Any ideas?” I ask Aubrey and Mark. Aubrey speaks up “We might not be invited, but there may be someone who can be.” “I’m listening” I tell her. “Who was the only person Jonny would confide in when he was being disciplined?” I think for a moment; Mark and I both chime in together “Shaun.”

“Send Shaun in to scout out the territory and report back. He can lure Jonny and the two fucking sluts back” Aubrey chimes. “I don’t give a shit about those two. We need Jonathon back here before he finds out the truth” I grumble before mind linking Shaun. *“Shaun, I need you to come to my office. Immediately.”*

“I want the half breed” Mark declares. I look at my brother; his blue eyes narrowing. “Only reason I didn’t take her for myself was because we thought she was 14. I think she’s cute; now I know she’s 18; there’s nothing stopping me” he said.

There was a knock on the door, Shaun enters the room “you call for me boss?” “Yes, what do you know about a territory 100 miles south of here?” He looks at me; taken aback by the question and lets out a sigh “I have heard rumours” “rumours?” Mark injects. “Yes, rumours from around the Light Coven and the Blood Moon Pack” he answers. “Proceed” I insist. “The rumours are when you defeated Jaxon, those that fled sort refuse in a territory 100 miles south of here.”

“Allies” I whisper; “sorry?” Shaun asks. “Have you ever been to the territory?” “No, when you asked us to seek out those who fled; I was told these rumours and went down there. Every time I thought I was getting close to the territory; I would turn a corner and would be back where I started. I was going round and round in circles” he told me.

“That’s what Cecily said, ‘once you get close, you find yourself back where you started from. You just end up going around and around in circles’” Mark chimed in.

I fill Shaun in what we knew so far. “I believe from what you said, those traitors are the Allies, Cecily was referring to” I tell everyone. “Shaun, do you have friends among the traitors?” Aubrey asks him “No, they will most likely kill me on site. There may be another way.” “I’m listening” I tell him. “If I take Elise and Eli with me to the Light Coven and if they have the protective barriers like you say, witches and warlocks must be helping them. We tell them we are fleeing here because I have betrayed you; I’ll convince them to send me there for asylum.”

“I like how your mind works” I tell him. “Once in there, I can lure Jonny and the others to the edge of the territory by inviting you in; it may take me a month or so, but that will give you an opportunity to get your forces ready for the battle, it should be quick and easy as neither pack have warriors or defences.”

“I need you to leave immediately” I tell him. “Tonight” Aubrey says; “I’ll go tell Elise” and he leaves my office.

“Do you trust him now?” I say to Mark. “Not really. If he can deliver Jonny back; then we will know” he seethes.

……….

Alex’s POV

Walking into the kitchen, Omega Simone and Jessica are over in the corner talking. “What did I miss?” I ask, giving Jessica a kiss on the cheek. Omega Simone answers, “not much, we were just catching up. Jess only just got here herself.”

“Alrighty then,” I exclaim. “We need to discuss a major event with you Simone. I know you will need help from the other packs. Are you up for a challenge?” Jessica tells her. “What sort of event? And how much help are we talking about?” She asks, a small frown crossing her face.

“Alpha Ceremony or should I say Double Alpha Ceremony” I grin. She looks at Jessica, then back at me. A huge smile beams across her face “Goddess, yes; of course, I’m up for the challenge. I will need to get together with Libby, Enid, Jenny and Joyce to discuss a menu. Then we can go to the rest of the packs….” “Whoa” I interrupt, “slow down, there’s three weeks.” “Three weeks?” she says angrily. “You’re only giving us three weeks?”

“Don’t worry Simone” Jessica said smirking at me. “Alex has been delegated to get the food organised. I am sure he will help you anyway he can.” I glare at Jessica; how dare she throw me to the sharks.

“That’s wonderful” beaming her pearly whites at me. “We need all the help we can get. I’ll get back to you with a menu selection tomorrow morning. I’ll start with Libby.” Simone takes off out of the kitchen.

“You’re a bitch” I say to Jessica. “Thank you. Glad you noticed” she says back to me. Laughing, I go to the fridge and grab a drink. “Can you grab me a bottle of water, while you’re there Hun?” she asks. I grab her water too “you do know I’ll be busy with Alpha stuff to help with the food prep?” I tell Jessica. “We’ll see” she answers, a cheeky smile crossing her face. I hand her the water bottle and we head out of the kitchen.
