Chapter 6

**Roxane**

I was lost in my thoughts as I watched the bright and fascinating moon in the dark sky. I took a deep breath and tried to get rid of all her frustrations. The moon would be full in a few hours and she only had one chance to become Jared's mate.

I had to act fast or my plans would never come true, I had to convince Jared to run that very night, it was the only way to provoke him and force him to take me back.

Without hesitation, I ran to his house. As I approached his front door, I wore a malicious smile as I adjusted my w-cut top to make my breasts more prominent. After that he would have stayed with me all night, but this time he had sent me away, for the first time since I had known him. I didn't know why and that had left me a bit confused and disturbed.

Sensing Jared's scent, I took another deep breath and then knocked on the door. He was hot and he would be mine, starting tonight.

**Jared**

I growled for the third time as the discomfort insisted on invading without warning. My body was hot, my mind restless, symptoms I had experienced in the past, a long time ago, and now they were coming back and I was worried.

Andrea had left earlier with Katerine and Jade for the customary full moon run. The males of the pack always got excited and a little nervous, so they always went together, protecting each other from any overconfident troublemakers. My sister knew about my crisis, but it had been a long time since I had one, so she left without worrying. Now I was alone at home, where I was supposed to stay, locked up, with no social contact.

I couldn't let the wolf take over, I could control him in that state. When someone approached, my fierce gaze immediately turned to the door. My keen sense of smell detected the presence and I growled even more. Roxane knew I didn't like to be disturbed in my family home, I knew what her intentions were on this full moon, but Roxane lost points for thinking I was manipulable and naive. My body was sluggish and I didn't want to see anyone, but it would be impossible to hide my presence from another wolf, especially a hot female with mating instincts. I tried to look confident as I got up from the couch, but as soon as I opened the door, Roxane threw herself against my body, making me growl.

**Roxane**

" Did you miss me?" I whispered as I walked in uninvited and kissed Jared's lips, I needed to seduce this man as much as possible.

**Jared**

"I thought I made myself clear... " I spat out the words, not very pleased. My eyes burned for a moment and my vision blurred, but I was able to hide it. I pushed her away from my arms as I gave her a dark glow. "I don't like house calls!"

**Roxane**

" Come on Jared!!!" Confidently, I pressed my body against Jared's again. "There's a full moon tonight, give me a break!" With a satisfied smile, I appreciated his naked chest and inhaled deeply. I had always loved his masculine scent and I wanted him all to myself. I became more seductive, running my hands over his chest, and biting his lower lip before stealing a lustful kiss. "The moon calls us tonight and the hunt will be exciting," I growl softly and kiss him possessively, teasing him as I brush my breast against his chest. "I need you there, Jared! Hunt me and make love to me ... over the moon."

**Jared**

"Roxane..." I immediately interrupted the woman in front of me. "I'm not going out on a full moon!" I said impatiently. Her scent was intoxicating and I could not risk going out in my physical state. Her lips were warm and soft, and I allowed her hands to be on my body for a while, even though mine were still in the door. "And especially..." I added as she insisted on the sensual caress, heating my hot body even more with her latent lust. Her scent was nothing compared to Katerine's and just thinking about it made me growl and even more frustrated. "I don't need to be chasing females right now...or want to!" With these words coming out of my mouth, I felt a punch right in my heart. Katherine was also running in this full moon, as a tentation for sin. My eyes clouded again and my wolf threatened to take control. I had to get Roxane out of this house, out of my body, and now I knew, out of my life. This thought hit me hard and surprised me in the same second. Looking at her, I simply said. "You have to leave now." I moved away from the door and from her and sat down in the nearest chair. I was dizzy and sweating and my body was shaking. Damn it, how could I have a crisis on a full moon night?

**Roxane**

" What do you mean?" I couldn't believe that Jared had rejected me again. Although I tried to calm my frustration, Jared's words only irritated me more. I knew the terms of our relationship, but I had been his lover for some time now and I wanted more from him. Slightly surprised, I asked. "Since when do you not hunt during a full moon?"

**Jared**

"Since now!" I growl impatiently.

**Roxane**

" Come on Jared!!!" Once again I approached him sensually, trying to convince him that it was just a way to relax. "Just a little run. I promise it will make you feel better!"

**Jared**

" Roxane, don't make me rude. " I said with a trembling voice.

**Roxane**

"Jared, what is wrong with you today?" My frustration quickly turned to concern. I put my hand on his forehead and noticed that it was burning. "You don't look too good! Do you want me to call someone?"

**Jared**

" NO! " Jared said with a firm voice as he stood up and looked at the woman in front of him. "I'll be fine! Just go!"

**Roxane**

"I can't leave you like this!" Roxane demanded. Taking care of him in this state was a good way to show him that he could count on her in bad situations.

**Jared**

"Roxane, I'm asking nicely," Jared growls impatiently and makes his way to the door. He walks with some difficulty, but tries to hide it."

**Roxane**

Okay! I'll go. " Roxanne bit her lip a little thoughtfully as she noticed Jared's confusion. She had never seen him like this, he always seemed strong and confident. A little curious, she added. "Will you at least let me call a doctor?"

**Jared**

"There's no need! I will be fine!!! " Jared explained in a quiet voice. "I just need to rest. "

Roxane was not supposed to witness one of his crises, nor was anyone else. He never remembered what happened to him or around him in those moments. His body swayed and Roxane supported him. Her lust disoriented him even more. His wolf took advantage and wanted to take over his wild nature.

**Roxane**

"I am sorry Jared! But I will stay," I said firmly. "I can see that you are lying! There's something wrong with you, I can tell!"

**Jared**

"Yes, there is!!! "That's why I need to be alone... " I growl irritated. I should avoid anyone next to me in these moments, at all costs. For my protection, for the protection of everyone. Shaking my head, I only shout this time. "SO PLEASE LEAVE!" Looking at her seriously and authoritatively, I add. "DO YOU UNDERSTAND? "

**Roxane**

"YES! I'M NOT DEAF!" I yelled loudly as I closed the door in irritation. As I walked briskly towards the exit, I realized that he was hiding something. At that moment, I stopped and looked at the house for a second. What the hell was going on in there?

As I analyzed everything that had happened, one thought immediately crossed my mind. He was hiding something. Jared wasn't himself and now I would do anything to find out why. My feet began to move and at the same time a broad smile formed on my lips. maybe I didn't need the full moon to catch him. Maybe I just needed to find something that would help me force Jared to be my long and lasting mate.
