Chapter 35 Chapter thirty five

Chapter 35 Chapter thirty five
She didn't speak further but projected a virtual reality of a blackboard filled with some physics equations. “Well…. simple as ABC…” i mocked solving them with a florish.

“Brilliant princess…” she praised bringing more equations that got harder and harder.

“Congratulations princess..” she finally said and a red laser light shone from her palm, melting a part of the wall. On it was written:

“2560680”

I looked up at her in confusion. “Make sure to remember this princess. Its your next key” she said and walked away.

Shrugging, i memorized the code and moved further. I soon got to a huge door with a password required. Inputting the earlier numbers, the door slowly opened along with a cloud of steam, revealing a huge chamber glowing with a mystical blue light.

Cautiously stepping in, the temperature was normal, nothing related to the pouring steam from earlier.

The chamber was filled with floating orbs, glowing with a stranger light. Reaching out my hand, i touched one of them. Visions of my past trials instantly flooded my mind. Right now, i truly beginning to understand the true nature of my powers.

Finally it came to an end and the orbs began to glow brighter and i felt my energy surging like a turbulent ocean, rocking me back and forth. The temple trembled and the voice spoke again “The final trial princess, the final mechanism of fate are in your hands. Trigger the wrong sequence and succumb to the shadows of the temple”

A panel lit up displaying a series of pressure plates and levers, each connected to a different ancient mechanism. “You can pull just one princess, choose wrong and there are no second chances. Good luck princess” the voice jeered.

Taking a deep breath, i looked at the levers and plates closely and carefully. I noticed ancient texts written on them all, so how'll i choose.? Depending on my instincts, i slowly moved towards the last rusted lever.

“Are you sure this is the correct one Emma.? Look at it, all old and rusty. You've gotten this far only to end up dying at the last trial.?” My mind scolded and I paused and looked at the old lever again.

Defiantly, i pulled it down with all my might. The temple rumbled and revealed a glowing portal. Tears stream down my face and i smiled happily, quickly walking in. The temple began to dissolve, leaving me floating in a sea of stars.

As i slowly descended, i found myself back in the celestial city. “Oh Emma.!” The women cried out in happiness and ran to me, hugging me tightly and pressing my head against my shoulder.

Strangely, i felt myself relaxing into this warm embrace. Finly stepped forward too. “Welcome master” she greeted bowing slightly. The man came too and gently led us into the house.

Immediately we stepped in, the scent of delicious food filled the air. “We knew you'll come back today baby, we prepared this” he said, gently leading me to a seat.

“Thanks dad.” I mistakingly blurted out and quickly covered my mouth with my palms. “Yes..yes baby. We're your parents. I'm your mom. Don't close your mouth sweetie, you're absolutely correct” the woman urged, glass like tears filling her beautiful eyes.

“Mom..” i said and she bursted into tears, hugging me tightly.

Soon after, we settled down into our food. “You need to go and stop Rexy and liriah” my dad said reluctantly. I nodded “i have the power now” i boasted and he smiled.

“But….” My mom tried to object again with that worried look in her blue eyes, but dad stopped her. “No honey. You know this is the only way she can prove to Satan that she's ready and restore everything to normal” he said.

“I'll go tomorrow” i decleared and everyone looked up at me in surprise. “But you just came back today baby, won't you atleast rest a little bit.?” My mom asked concern etched in her voice.

“No mom, i feel very okay” i insisted. “But what about you Finly..?” I asked. “I'm always with you master, when we leave, I'll go to stay in your tattoo. You can summon me anytime” she replied cheerfully.

The next morning, I walked back through the pothole i used in coming and found myself in front of Rexy's palace gate. A young girl of about ten years of age was kneeling there crying. “My mom didn't mean to steal, we're hungry and haven't eaten for weeks. Please tell his highness to forgive us” she cried miserably.

“Get out of here young thief if not you'll join your mother in the dungeon.” One of the guards threatened. “Please kind sir, my mom is pregnant with a baby, spare her. Take me instead” she offered but the guards ignored her and heartlessly began to kick her away with their boots.

Mu heart ached for the helpless little girl. I tried reaching out to touch her, but i couldn't. My hand just passed through her face. “You're still a spirit princess. Your body is inside, remember?” Finly jeered.

A spirit.? But everything that happened seemed so real. But this was no time for thoughts. I zoomed into the palace. Surprisingly, my hands could touch object. I went to Rexy's overflowing safe and took a box of gold.

I sent Finly who materialized as a girl, to hand over the gold to the helpless little girl. Her eyes widened in shock and bewilderment. “All this for me.? Who are you kind sister.? Are you royalty.?” She asked. Finly shook her head impatiently “just take it and use to save your mom” she persuaded pushing the box to her.

The girl stared at it for a while and took a handful. “This is all I'll need kind sister. Thank you, i promise to repay you someday” she said bowing slightly. “No take it all. I don't need it” Finly insisted her voice noticably softer this time.

The girl nodded happily and knelt down. “Thank you so much” she said again and ran off to the guards. “Release my mom” she said handing them a handful of gold. “Little thief, where did you steal this.?” They mocked.

“I didn't steal it. A kind sister helped me.!” She defended herself in a shrill voice. Grabbing the gold, they threw her mom to her.

“Mummy.!” the girl cried happily, hugging her mom and resting her head on her protruding tummy.

Seeing this, tears formed in my eyes as i remembered the Walker family. I need to go see them as soon as possible.

“Let's go complete our mission”
